Planet Kriegswerkzeuge, present day
On a world owned by one of the Galaxies weapons manufacturing corporation, one that had survived the Corporate wars thanks to its CEO's swift commandeering of the company, and brutal ways the CEO reorganized the company to be efficient in everything it did, many tourists flocked to the world from the inner worlds of the galaxy to see one of the remaining corporations that stood the test of time and wars.
At the greeting bay were ships came in to land and let passengers off to spend their time at the visitor areas of the corporate world, a large statue of the CEO stood with a hand against her hip, while the other was pointing out; it was sculpted to look heroic with a commanding officer coat hanging off her shoulders while she wore a military officer hat on her had, showing she meant strict military business.
The CEO's face was sculpted to show the corporate wars had wrought its share of scars on her face, one going down from her eye and across her nose, making her use an eyepatch to cover her lost eye; The hand she used to point out with was mechanical, all of showed the young at the time CEO had weathered the brutal corporation wars and came out kicking just fine.
What was more interesting about the CEO's face, were the lines that marked her face and neck; the CEO was doubtlessly one of the Sirens that pop up every now and then.
As a group of tourists landed at the bay, a hologram popped up at the service desk to greet them as they milled in through the welcome gate; it was male soldier as he greeted the tourists with a gesture to the side for the tourist to precede through, "Greeting!" the hologram said, his voice mechanical in nature, "For you have arrived! Kriegsheld greets you with open arms, from the Flammenwerfer in a can, to the civilian car that is the Flammpanzerwagon for the customer that wants to land on the most hostile of planets in the borderlands, let our motto humble you! There are no war crimes in the borderlands!"
As the nondescript tourists walked their way in through the hallway that lead out onto a bridge with reinforced glass wall on both sides, videos began playing for the tourists as they crossed the bridge towards the main area that was filled with stores, gift shops, and all manner of other things that brought in money for the corporate.
The videos that played for the tourists were reimagined movies that replayed the accounts of the CEO's time in the corporate wars, "Tanya Von Braun, were it not for her, the infighting over the family company would have ended the company!" Video shots were shown of a young female in her late teens firing a revolver into the chests of her cousins, who were in the midst of trying to shoot her as well, only for the young girl to get the quick draw on him instead. The barrel of her gun smoked, before she twirled it in her hand and holstered it.
The tourists continued to travel along the bridge as more videos of glorifying the CEO's rise to prominence of her corporation, "During the nine years of the corporation wars, Miss Tanya set forth to war with whoever dared try and absorb her company into their own, butting heads against the likes of Atlas and Hyperion, to making long standing cooperation with corporations such as Torgue!"
More video showed on both sides of the glass walls, showing a video of a woman in her early twenties, standing among her men in german outfits with a massive Heavy Gustav, the video played slowly for dramatic effect as a massive shell fired from the cannon; on the other side was the CEO shaking hands with a young Mister Torgue High-Five FLexington
"Truly, the future was looking bright for our heroic CEO, but even after the corporate wars, danger was afoot, for soon Vaults of imaginable power and secrets were found among the borderlands!" More footage showed Tanya speaking with her board and people, an artifact was on the table showing power that caused her Siren features to light up.
"With so many corporations hounding for more potential means of reverse engineering weapons of mass destruction of an old alien race, it was thanks to our glorious CEO that we are second in holding the most Artifacts! Her leadership of the company has brought us to be the near top Corporation, just under Atlus!"
The hologram announced continued to talk as he appeared at the end of the bridge with a shining smile, outside the end of the bridge was a massive plaza that was practically a city in of itself, "Welcome to the City of Kreigsheld! May your purchases bring you safety and security!" he finished expositioning, before blinking out of existence for the tourists to tary on.
Kreigsheld HQ
*SLAM!* Tanya glared at her people as she slammed the video tape copies she took from the PR department, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? YOU MADE ME OUT AS A DEMAGOGUE!" She shrieked with anger visible on her aging face. Her once pristine blonde hair was now starting to show specks of gray in them, some wrinkles were visible in thin lines around her mouth, while she was showing signs of crow's feet around her eyes.
The board folks watched as their CEO rant at them with her robotic arm palmed down against the now destroyed tapes she had just shown the PR had used to welcome visitors to her planet; a few actresses were used while using advanced technology to make them look almost like her in her early years.
Tanya gritted her teeth as she glared at her board of executives, a cough was made from one of her female executives as she coughed into her fist, catching her attention with the meanest look she could give, "Uh, Ma'am, to be fair, it went well with the test audience! They really liked the dramatic flair!" she offered with an apologetic look.
Another Executive pipped in as he cleared his throat and steepled his fingers with a calculative look on his face, "I honestly don't see the problem here, the other corporations do with their own CEOs, and really, what we had the PR department do was at least give nothing but the truth! Most of the other Corporations have a remarkable amount of lies on most of their propaganda, not to mention, a lot of them have been treating their employees as nothing more than slaves in the borderlands!" he offered.
One other male nodded as he faced the glaring CEO that was reigning her anger in, "Right! So why not advertise yourself as one of the better CEOs and Corporations! Could have been worse after all!" he shrugged at the end.
A Different female executive chimed in as well with a shining look on her face as she looked at her CEO, "And you got to hand it to the PR department for their visual effects!" the female said.
Slipping her mechanical hand off from the destroyed copies of the said films made after her, Tanya sneered before turning around to face the window behind her, "I'll let this matter drop for now, it's giving me a headache!" she grouched with a sneer.
While the board of executive nodded, Tanya allowed herself a sharp sideways look, before turning around to block an incoming invisible blade, shortly before the owner of the sword came into existence from out of his cloak. Tanya sneered once more at the assassin, "Let me guess, Atlus?" she asked, while the executives scampered off in fright.
The assassin in front of her had a helmet over his head that showed no face, save for a hologram that showed up with an exclamation mark, "Interesting, Ma'am. Your legends speak well of you. But no, I won't tell." the assassin answered her, making Tanya quirk her brow.
"Why…why did you just speak in Haiku!" Tanya asked as the assassin jumped back and aimed his sword at her in a thrust position, and quickly stabbed in forward, only for Tanya to quickly pull her old revolver out from her holster with her real hand while parrying aside the blade with her mechanical hand; she shot off three bullets into the assassin, only for him to swiftly dodge to the side.
Tanya let out an annoyed grunt as she fired off three more rounds at the assassin, who parried the bullets with his sword, "out of bullets." the assassin said more to himself before swinging his sword upwards at Tanya.
"Not really!" Tanya yelled as she blocked the blade with her mechanical hand, and shoved it aside to open her palm at the assassin's face; her mechanical hand quickly opened up to fire a swathe of flames where the assassin was standing.
Tanya cursed to herself as she saw it was only a hologram, and turned quickly to block another swing at her by the assassin with the forearm of her mechanical arms that was cooling down. "Well done, you are good. I will part now, but return. This fight is not good." the assassin intoned in his mechanical-like voice.
Both of them struggled against each other's weapon of choice, Tanya's mechanical arm and the assassin's blade; Tanya snarled at the assassin, "Tell me, was it Torgue!? The company had been silent ever since Torgue stopped the agreement we've had!"
The assassin tilted his head before leaping back to sheath his sword, "No, neither that one. This was a personal thing. Wanted to fight you." he answered, before disappearing from sight.
As the room became quiet, Tanya let out another growl of annoyance leave her throat, her lone eye swerved around while her laser eye widened its reticule to search for any heat signatures; finding nothing save for the heat signatures of her employees behind the walls, Tanya cursed her luck. Of course she'd attract the attention of battle junkie assassins. The borderlands were rife with all sorts of people and creatures. "And why the hell did that assassin speak in Haiku!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, irate and angry towards the Assassin that just showed up and wanted to fight her for supposedly to test himself against her.,
