Emily's Pov
I was literally running after him, he was just walking too fast. Finally we entered the building and got to the reception and everyone immediately stood up
"Good Morning Sir " Everyone greeted with respect.
'Who the hell is this guy'? i couldn't stop thinking.
"Cancel the interview! I've found my Secretary "
My eyes popped out, wait he's the Ceo!!! OMG.
"But Sir,I've just found someone exceptional, she's beautiful and....
"I said cancel it. Josh! Show her to her office and let her know the basic things" he said and faced me
"You're starting tomorrow " He said and left.
"This way miss" A tall broad shoulder guy said to me, I guess he is Josh.
"Thank you " I said and followed him and i could feel the stare of everyone it was like they wanted me to drop dead, They must all be wondering "who's this girl and why did she get hired on the spot". I couldn't blame them, really.I was wondering the same thing also. Then there was the hiring manager looking so stupid i wore a smile on my face as we passed him.I mean i had just been hired after being rejected by him.Com'on that's basically an accomplishment.
Josh, the tall broad shoulder guy who was leading me to the office seemed nice enough, though.He was quiet and professional but i got a glimpse of a smile
as we walked and it made me feel a little at ease.
He stopped at an open space and turned to me
"So miss?"
"Emily" I replied extending my hand for an handshake.
"Nice to meet you Emily" He said shaking my hands.
"This is your office" He said and i took a good look at it.
"It's close to the ceo's office "?
"The Ceo can be a bit demanding... but you'll be fine....eventually ".
I nodded nervously trying to process everything. I have a feeling that this is going to be an interesting job. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves as I gazed around my new office. It was modern and sleek, with a large desk and a stunning view of the city. I couldn't believe that this was going to be my workspace.
As I turned back to Josh, I caught him watching me with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "So, what's the CEO like?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
Josh's expression turned serious, and he leaned in slightly. "Like I said, he can be demanding. He's a perfectionist, and he expects a lot from his team. But he's also... intense. Passionate. Driven."
I raised an eyebrow intrigued by his words.
"sounds like he expect everyone to be perfect" I said.
Josh nodded. "Yes. He's the kind of person who throws himself into everything he does, and he expects the same level of commitment from those around him. It can be... overwhelming, at times."
I wasn't sure i was ready for those sort of things but I'm ready to adapt when duty calls.
As Josh turned to leave i called to him
" Hey Josh"
He turned back with a questioning look on his face. "Yes"?
" What's the CEO's name" I asked feeling a bit silly for not knowing.
Josh expression was neutral but i noticed a hint of something in his eyes. " The CEO's name is Brian" he said before turning and walking away.

I watched Josh walk away, feeling a little more nervous than ever, I mean i thought i had lost the job. Brian, the CEO, sounded like a complex and intense person. I wondered what he was really like, beyond the intimidating figure I'm sure there's a whole softer within him, i mean everyone does.
I was about leaving my very own office when i noticed a folder on the desk. I opened it and found stacks of papers and documents, along with a written note that read:
"Review these documents and be prepared to discuss them with me tomorrow, the rest are my schedules. Note; i don't miss out on my schedules".
I felt nervous again, the ceo must have written this, I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of determination.I was going to make a good impression no matter how complex or intimidating he can be.
As i walked out of the office i was feeling more determined than ever. I had barely walked a few blocks when i sighted a coffee shop, I decided to grab a coffee and relive myself a little bit. My coffee was brought to me and i took a sip closing my eyes, this is probably one of the best coffee I've ever had. I opened my eyes and noticed a woman sitting across from my table staring at me with some kind of expression. She looked familiar, but i couldn't quite place exactly where I've seen her. I noticed her standing up and began walking to my table.
"Hi" she said with a smile. "You're the new secretary aren't you "?
I looked up, surprised. "How did you know "?
"I'm Lucy, one of the marketing managers " she replied with such confidence that i wouldn't think i will ever have.
"I saw you with Josh earlier today. You're definitely the talk of the office ".
I laughed, feeling a little self conscious. "I guess i am" I said.
"I was told you got rejected by Michael ".She said.
"I'm guessing he's the hiring manager "? I asked and she nodded. "Well it is what it is. it's a miracle i got the job". I said.
"Congratulations, but i have to warn you though, patience is the key if you want to work for Brian Govender ".
"Is he that complex and intriguing "? I asked out of curiosity.
"Well all i can say is goodluck, My lunch break is over. see you around...Emily ". She said and left.
Okay this is starting to get scary. His my boss this bad? So far no-one has said something good about him. i sighed deeply, This is going to get more intense than i imagined.
