Chapter 12 - CHARLIES BIRTHDAY PARTY

Two weeks late

Charlie's Birthday Party

Charlie's House

The five Mandala Flower Gang members walked into the hall with Chelsea, who walked beside Favor. They were all dressed in black suits, while Chelsea wore a stunning white gown.

"Are we late?" Charles asked, turning around to look at the birthday venue, which happened to be Charlie's house.

"Charles, you're supposed to ask if we're early?" Mark said.

"Guys, Michael just messaged me. He said they're already coming," Chelsea announced.

At that moment, the whole hall became quiet, and everywhere became dark. Spotlights shone on the staircase upstairs. Immediately, Charlie came down with Michael beside him, descending the stairs. They were both wearing white suits, looking dashing and handsome.

"Wow! Both Charlie and Michael look handsome today," Sea complimented, smiling.

"Yeah," Favor agreed.

As everyone focused on the discussion, Michael and Charlie walked up to them after greeting everyone.

"Happy birthday," Chelsea said, and the rest of the gang followed suit, wishing him a happy birthday.

"Thank you, guys. But where are my birthday presents?" Charlie asked, smiling.

"We brought them, don't worry," Jake reassured.

"Thanks, Butler Cuba, please come over here," Charlie called out to the butler passing by.

"What can I do for you, sir Charlie?" he asked.

"Please collect the gifts from them and bring them to my room."

"Yes, sir."

"Guys, you can follow the butler. He will show you where to sit down. I'm going to greet the guest who just arrived," Charlie said and left after they replied.

Ten minutes later, Charlie walked to where the Five Flowers Gang members, Michael, and Chelsea were sitting.

"Charlie, come and sit beside me," Michael said, pulling him down to sit beside him.

"So, what were you guys discussing?" Charlie asked.

"It's Charles and Michael; they seem to be quarreling," Sea said.

"I told you we're not," Michael retorted.

"But you ignored him when he greeted you and tried talking to you," Sea added.

"Sea, I said we're not..." Before Michael could complete his statement, Charlie's phone started ringing.

"Baby Manny is calling," Michael said, smirking.

"Who is Baby Manny?" Sea asked curiously.

"It's Manny. You know what I mean, right?" Michael said.

"Then pick up the call," Sea said anxiously.

"Hello, Baby Manny," Charlie said, standing up with his phone on his ear.

"I should turn around?" He asked over the phone, turning around to see Manny standing behind him, wearing a black suit.

"Manny," Charlie said excitedly and hugged him.

"Happy birthday," Manny said, giving him his birthday present.

"Thank you," Michael said, passing the present to the butler.

"Are you done?" Michael asked, pushing Charlie playfully.

"Baby Manny, I missed you," Michael said, hugging him.

"I missed you too," Manny said.

"Guys, this is Manny. Manny, they are Chelsea, Mark, Jake, Favor, Charles, and Sunny," Charlie introduced them to each other.

"Nice to meet you guys," Manny said, and everyone replied.

"When are we going to eat the damn cake?" Michael asked.

"Patient boy, we're still waiting for someone," Charlie said.

"Who is that?" Sea asked.

"It's Matt. And by the way, Manny, why didn't you come with him?" Charlie asked Manny.

"He said he'll come later. According to him, he said 'fashionably late to overshadow the celebrant,'" Manny replied.

"He's always like that," Michael commented.

"Who is that?" an unknown voice said.

"You scared the shit out of me, Matt!" Charlie exclaimed, hugging him.

"I know, right?" Matt said, walking to where the Five Mandala Flower Gang members were sitting and standing in front of them.

"I'm Matt, and I know who you guys are."

"Did you investigate my friends again?" Charlie asked.

"Come on, darling. Am I doing it for your own good?" Matt replied.

"Whatever. So, where is it?" Charlie asked.

"Where is what?" Matt asked.

"Where is my stuff, Matt? Stop acting dumb."

"Chill, I left it in the car. I'll go get it. After all, it's my birthday present for you."

"You'd better bring my real gift. If not, you'll see my other side, and you know what I can do."

"I know, boss. Am I kidding? I already gave it to the butler."

"Better."

"I'm off to get you that stuff."

"Good. Guys, excuse me. I'm going to get a drink."

"I want one too," Jake said, standing up and following Charlie.

"What is it?" Charlie asked when they were both far from their friends.

"I came to collect a drink," Jake replied.

"Me and you know that's not why you're here," Charlie said, looking at Jake intensely.

"Which of them are you dating?" Jake asked, his voice low.

"What?" Charlie responded, taken aback.

"Manny or Matt, which one are you dating?" Jake pressed.

"Why do you care?" Charlie asked, his eyes narrowing.

"I just want to know," Jake said, his voice firm.

"Are you jealous?" Charlie teased.

"Answer my question," Jake demanded.

"And if I don't, what are you going to do?" Charlie asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Don't try to skip the question, Charlie," Jake warned.

"See, Jake, I don't know how it's your business, but if you care to know, I'm not dating any of them," Charlie said, his expression serious.

"Good," Jake commented, his eyes still locked on Charlie's.

As they stood there, lost in each other's eyes, Matt walked up to Charlie, holding a file.

"Charlie, here is the report. It's well-detailed and easy to understand," Matt said, handing the file to Charlie.

"What report?" Jake asked, his eyes shifting to Matt.

"Nothing you should be concerned about. Excuse me," Charlie said, leaving Jake behind.

Charlie entered a nearby room, sat down, and began going through the file. Occasionally, he stood up, shocked.

"Wow! They're so good. They weren't expecting me to find out the secret. I was almost fooled," Charlie said to himself.

He continued, "The Mandala Flower Gang didn't see this coming. No matter what, I need to thank my donor right."

A few minutes later, Charlie left the room with the file in his hands. He walked to where Michael, Sea, Manny, Matt, and the Mandala Flower Gang were sitting.

"Everyone should go to my room. I'm coming. Don't ask any questions. Michael, please show them my room," Charlie said, still holding the file.

Charlie went to the stairs, the spotlight on him as he stood there holding the speakers.

"Thank you all for coming to my birthday party, but due to a family emergency, the party will end here," he announced.

He continued, "The mock family will give everyone a reasonable explanation for the sudden stop of the party. Thank you, and safe journey."

After saying that, he bowed down to the crowd, looking sincere, and then came down from the stairs.

Immediately, everyone present at the birthday party started leaving the house. A few minutes later, the crowd dispersed, and everywhere became quiet.

"Butler, keep the gifts in the store room. If my parents call to ask, tell them I had a running stomach, so I had to end the party," Charlie instructed the butler.

"Yes, sir," the butler replied.

"Also, nobody should come to my room. I have something important to discuss with my friends. I don't want any disturbance, even if you hear screaming sounds," Charlie added.

"Yes, sir," the butler said.

"Okay," Charlie said, and then he walked to his room.

Reaching the door, he took deep breaths, opened the room, and entered.

"What is it?" Sea asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, what's in the report?" Michael asked quietly.

"You're not going to believe it," Charlie said.

"You can say it," Sea encouraged.

"Since everyone is here already, including the Five Mandala Flower Gang members, who happen to be the main people here, I want to ask you guys who donated blood and why?" Charlie asked, looking at the five boys, who kept quiet.

"As you guys can see, I'm not here to joke, nor am I smiling. So, I'll ask you all for the last time: who donated blood for me, and why?" Charlie asked, his eyes scanning the room.

The Mandala Flower Gang members kept quiet again.

"Excellent. Since you guys enjoy playing deaf and refuse to say anything, I'll go to the person myself and ask," Charlie said, walking towards his blood donor.

The person he had been searching for a long time, the person who made him and his friend transfer to this school, and lastly, the reason he was alive. But why did he donate his blood and leave mysteriously? Or could he be guilty?

Question:

1. Who is Charlie's mysterious blood donor?
