Saturday morning arrived, and I woke up feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. Max and I had plans to meet at the art gallery at 10 am, and I couldn't wait to see him again.
As I got dressed and ready, I couldn't help but notice the butterflies in my stomach. It was a feeling I hadn't experienced in a long time, and it caught me off guard.
When I arrived at the gallery, Max was already there, sipping on a coffee and admiring the artwork. He smiled when he saw me, and my heart skipped a beat.
"Hey, you look amazing," he said, handing me a coffee.
I blushed and thanked him, feeling a little shy but also happy.
We spent the next few hours exploring the gallery, discussing art, and learning more about each other. It was effortless, like we'd known each other for years.
As we walked out of the gallery, Max asked me if I wanted to grab lunch with him. I agreed, and we ended up at a quaint little café nearby.
Over sandwiches and salads, we talked some more, sharing stories and laughter. I felt like I could be myself around him, like he truly understood me.
As the afternoon wore on, Max suggested we take a walk in the park. The sun was shining, and the fresh air felt amazing. We strolled hand in hand, enjoying the scenery and each other's company.
It was then that Max turned to me and said, "I'm really glad I met you, Lily. You're an amazing person."
My heart melted, and I smiled up at him. "I'm glad I met you too, Max."
As we looked into each other's eyes, I felt a spark of electricity. It was like the whole world had come to a standstill.
Max leaned in, his lips brushing against mine. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down my spine.
I knew in that moment that I was falling for him, hard.
As we pulled away from each other, Max smiled and said, "I've been wanting to do that all day."
I grinned, feeling happy and carefree. "I've been wanting you to."
We kissed again, deeper this time, and I felt like I was melting into his arms.
As the sun began to set, Max walked me home, his arm around my shoulders. I felt safe and happy, like I was exactly where I was meant to be.
As we stood outside my front door, Max turned to me and said, "I had an amazing time today, Lily. Would you like to do it again tomorrow?"
I nodded, smiling up at him. "I'd love to."
And with that, our whirlwind romance began.
Would you like me to continue with Chapter 4?
