Mere looking around the room that was filled with mentally deranged women who were bound in chains, I knew that the hell I've experienced before is nothing compared to what's about to happen.
I just sat at the extreme end of that hall, near the gate.
Then the most disgusting thing happened, one of the ladies vomited on another woman, and she started licking it off.
"Ughhh" I dry heaved. If not for my empty stomach I'd have thrown up.
"Oh moon goddess, please come to my rescue!" I cried out in horror.
if I continued staying here, then I'd end up like one of those women. I'd rather die.
Just then, I heard a loud voice yelling at someone, I turned to gripped the gate and stretched to look.
It turned out to be Alpha Roman shouting at the maiden who brought me here. I was trying very hard to understand why.
"Where did you say that you dropped her?" He barked at her.
"T-there Alpha... At the human lab..." She said to him with a stammer, and I was sure that she was answered with an ear deafening slap.
"Now, go and open up that stinking place." He yelled at her, and I breathed a sigh of relief. He came to safe me.
Obviously, the moon goddess had answered me. Now, I was more worried about what was going to happen afterwards.
And I couldn't help but think, Maybe, Alpha Roman wasn't even bad, like I felt he was.
Immediately, the maiden hurriedly rushed to the gate, and opened it up.
'But Why did they call this place a human lab? What was going on in this place?' I thought in my head
Just at that moment the gate opened up, I felt the tight grip of the maiden trying to drag me out.
"I would have just left you there to waste like the others, bitch." She mumbled with hatred gleaming in her eyes, and I just couldn't help but wonder what wrong I ever did to her.
And before I could even breathe in relief from leaving the damned place, the maiden let go of my hand, and I turned to see the Alpha grabbing her neck in a violent manner. Lifting her off her feet.
"You dare to disobey me? Huh?" He yelled at her. I was surprised by the sudden turn of events. I hadn't expected that he would suddenly get provoked in that manner.
Is he fighting for me? A small hope tingles in my heart
I watched as the poor maiden girl struggled to breath and fight for her life.
Oh! poor girl. I wished I could help you. I snorted
"No... No... No Alpha... Please..." She stammered as her hands clawed the Alpha's hand gripping her neck. Obviously, she was going to pass at any coming second from that time.
Instead of Alpha Roman to show mercy, he smiles in mischief. Like he was enjoying what he was doing.
"No mercy in hell!" He replied before snapping her neck in my presence.
I stared in fear, disbelief and shock. He killed her.
"Y-you You're a monster." I spat at him, backing away a few steps in fear.
Yes I hated that maiden for locking me up there, but he just KILLED HER!!!
He gave me a creepy smile in reply, before giving me a sounding slap to my face.
As I fell down to the ground, clutching my face in pain, he immediately grabbed my head with so much force.
"If you don't take time, you'd be the next person. You see what I did to that lowlife over there, what I did to her would be little, compared to what I'd do to you." He smirked, and my eyes popped out in surprise.
It was then I knew that this man was very cruel, and he would rather die, than not live up to his savage threats.
Indeed, I was a mate to a cruel Alpha.
Just at that moment, the alpha walked away, leaving me to my own fate.
What was I going to do?
I was just so weak that I couldn't walk on my own.
Just at that moment, two maidens appeared from nowhere, and they helped me get up to my feet before taking me to a room that I supposed would be mine.
I was just very weak at first to make any close observation about the room.
Just as I made a move to lay on the bed, the voice of the maiden hindered me.
"The alpha asked that you take a bath first." She said, and I turned back to look at her.
"He did?" I asked her again to be sure of what I heard. What's going on with him? He's suddenly acting nice?
"Yes, he did. He also instructed that I massage and treat your wounds, so that you won't get infected." She went further, and I just didn't say any other word, other than obeying and affirming everything that she told me.
I entered the bathroom, and I was greeted with an amazing sight and fragrance. Well, I couldn't see everything properly because of my poor eyesight, so the maiden helped me to the bathtub.
Each massage or touch from her, sent an electrifying feeling of pain to my brain. My whole body was covered with injuries.
"Sorry, ma'am. You'd be alright." She would say that occasionally, and I would just nod in affirmation.
I wasn't myself at that very moment. So I tried making small conversations with her to divert my attention from my miserable situation.
"So, why are you a maid here?" I finally found my voice to ask her, and she froze in shock. She hadn't expected the question.
She went mute for a while, before saying anything else. I knew that she was trying to play safe, so I respected it.
"I won't actually say that I was forced, but now I can't leave this place again, I am an orphan..." She replied to me.
I looked at her deep in the eyes. I could see fear. She was indeed scared of saying another word to me.
"We would be fine. I think I can relate to your story, too. So, what brought you to this place?" I asked her.
"Sorry, but I don't think that I want to talk about it, ma'am." She replied.
I could hear the discomfort and fear in her voice.
"You don't have to be scared about anything. Just know that you can trust me." I said to her,
"I just hope so. My story is a very long and sad one. The thing is, my parents..." She was still speaking, when the door was forcefully opened.
