Chapter 1 - the perfect match

Judgment Day

The long-anticipated Judgment Day had come. Jesus descended from the heavens, his golden light piercing the dark skies. The earth trembled as he hovered above, his solemn gaze locking onto Kevin Dre.

Before touching the ground, Jesus spoke, his voice echoing with divine authority:

"Thou art not forgiven. Thy sins are darker than those of King Herod, sins that cannot be pardoned. Thy soul shall face eternal damnation."

Without delay, Jesus gathered the masses for judgment. Yet, Kevin Dre's fate was sealed before any trials began. With a wave of his hand, Jesus cast Kevin into the deepest pits of hell.

(But why? How did an eighteen-year-old boy commit sins so damning? The truth lies in the story yet to unfold.)

The Ambition of Kevin Dre

Kevin Dre, son of Zachariah, was an unremarkable boy with a remarkable obsession. He dreamed of wielding superpowers, inspired by the countless stories he consumed—novels, manhwa, manga, and anime. He prayed fervently, night after night, begging for divine intervention. Yet, no miracle ever came.

One ominous night, as Kevin lay awake, the devil himself appeared, shrouded in shadow and malice.

"Why waste thy breath on unanswered prayers?" the devil sneered. "I can give thee what thou desires."

Kevin's heart wavered. He loved God, but the lure of power was too great.

"Grant me unlimited energy and all the superpowers I could ever need," Kevin demanded boldly, "and perhaps I'll consider serving you."

The devil's wicked smile deepened. Without a word, he disappeared into the night.

From that moment, Kevin began to change. Small red horns emerged from his forehead, and his once-bright demeanor darkened. He looked at his reflection one morning and realized he was no longer the boy he used to be.

A Town in Fear

It didn't take long for people to notice. Wherever Kevin went, fear followed. People avoided him like the plague, their whispers growing louder:

"Stay away from him—he's cursed!"

One day, Kevin strolled through a park and noticed a group of people sitting calmly. Unlike everyone else, they didn't seem afraid.

"Huh," he muttered, "maybe they're blind. Too bad for them."

Kevin approached with mischief in his eyes, ready to test his newfound strength. But before he could land a punch, one of the men stood up and struck him instead.

Kevin hit the ground hard.

"This… this can't get worse," he groaned.

The man's next punch sent him sprawling even farther.

"I spoke too soon," Kevin wheezed, struggling to his feet.

Determined to fight back, he clenched his fists.

"Alright, let's do this properly. A fair fight," he declared.

But his opponent smirked and muttered, "Clone, return."

Before Kevin could process the words, another devastating blow knocked him flat.

"Wait… you're a—" Kevin started, but his words were cut short by yet another punch.

"Okay, I quit!" Kevin yelled, flying away to escape.

"Running already?" the man called after him.

The Crimson Challenger

As Kevin soared above the park, trying to catch his breath, a voice called out.

"I heard that, you coward."

He turned to see a girl descending from a ladder with ease. She was striking—crimson-red eyes, a flowing black dress, and a small horn protruding from her forehead. Glowing tattoos marked her hands, their meaning yet untold.

Her name was Alexandra Silver.

Without hesitation, Alexandra sprinted toward the man who had bested Kevin and delivered a powerful punch to his jaw.

Kevin watched in awe as she effortlessly handled the opponent who had humiliated him.

When the fight ended, Alexandra turned to Kevin and extended her hand.

"I'm Alexandra Silver," she said with a smirk.

Kevin stared at her, mesmerized. He thought, She's perfect.

But just as he reached for her hand, Alexandra pulled it back and chuckled.

"Sike."

Kevin stumbled, dumbfounded, as Alexandra walked away, her playful grin leaving him both infuriated and intrigued.
