Starting the chapter with the main character facing death and reflecting on her life.
Looking back on life. My family would never choose a weak-hearted woman to be their head, and I was never the ideal student that I believed I was. When I was a kid, I looked up to my father and thought he was the greatest man to walk the earth, but his line of work was not something he was always proud of. My family went by the name Beaumont, and my father was the famous swordsman who went by the name lungris of the Beaumont family. He was very good at his job, so people expected the same from his successor. And I was always so eager to do whatever he said, so why is this happening to me? I was supposed to be his successor; did he abandon me because of my womanly agenda? Dem it all!!.
{Now it begins}.
'Is it money you want? I will give it to you; my father is very rich. Please do not take my life, I beg of you. "Hahahaha, all these rich little brats think they can buy anything with money; guess what, little missy, do you know who sent us to kill you? Who!
(Said Elizabeth, the protagonist) "hahahaha" (smiles) it was your old man!

As the gang of assassins sent to kill Elizabeth were carrying out their assigned mission, the gang leader considered something that would benefit him the most.
'Hey missy," I have a good idea; after we finish this job, we were planning on leaving the country. This was our final job before we parted ways, so we need more money. Do not get me wrong, your father paid a lot of money for your assassination, but it would be a waste; a young beautiful girl like you would cost a fortune, and I do not like killing children, especially females, so how about we take you with us and find someone who will buy you for a good amount of money, so are you coming? "Yes" (said Elizabeth), who would reject such an offer? I will do anything to survive." Also, I will need some of your heirs to present to your father as proof of your death.
{Narrator}
As soon as the agreement was made, the assassin leader went to inform Mr. Lungris about his success on the mission and present him with his two daughters' heir. A day after that she was confirmed missing.
'I hope she did not give you and your men any trouble, asked Mr. Lungris. "No, sir, she did not even struggle, and as the daughter of a fine and noble swordsman like you, I expected some action. "Hahaha, what does an assassin who kills people for money knows about nobility? Take your money and get out of here, oh! and one last thing, "What is that?" (asked the assassin's leader). Did I hope you burned the body? "Of course," said the assassin leader.

As soon as the assassins were paid, they split the money and went their separate ways, and as agreed, Elizabeth went with Luis (the assassins' leader). After some days went by, Elizabeth was confirmed dead. And on their way to 'Bustin' (the kingdom Lungris and Elizabeth are heading too), they were ambushed by some bandits.
"Leave all of your belongings if you want to leave this place alive," said the bandit leader.
