Evangeline faced Sisi with concern at how unusual it was that she was always repeating everything her sister says, or she says at times. She deeply wondered if she was okay, and it looked like she was not even aware of the fact that she repeats what people says around her.
''Thank you,'' Evangeline smiled at her as it was heavenly to see her happy that she was acknowledged instead of being playfully rebuked by her twin sister.
''Now… I have this insane headache in which I can't think properly. Can one of you remind me of…'' Her eyes followed Layla curiously when she went to grab her sword from the closet and push it down a leather sac before holding it at the bottom, rushing to her side to give it to her.
Both her and Layla stared at each other confused when she urged her to collect the sword from her.
Evangeline did not understand if today's lesson involved fighting a war.
''What?'' She blinked, noting the weird chuckle from Sisi.
''You will be needing your sword in one of your lessons today,'' Layla replied while urging her to take the sharp object. Evangeline reluctantly collected the sword to not raise any unnecessary suspicion and didn't lie when the sword weighed a bit. She couldn't wait to find out what lesson involved bringing a sword along with you.
Layla gave them their bags that sling from their shoulders and proposed they should start leaving, or they were going to be late.
The doors to her room slid open and a group of maids walked in with their heads bowed before them. It felt strange at first, but she encouraged herself to start getting used to it if she would rather not be caught.
''My princess, the Alpha King has requested your presence at the courtroom without delay.''
Evangeline didn't know anxiety had this much power over a person until this point. Both Layla and Sisi turned their heads to look at her in concern. The look on their faces told her it wasn't a good thing to be summoned to court.
Of course, it was criminals and people with issues that do get summoned to court in her world.
Whatever the case might be, she hoped it was something she could handle.
