Chapter 13 - CHAPTER 13

"Would you like to use your special lottery draw now?"

"Yes!" Kaito replied without hesitation.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have inherited the full set of Wind Style Rasengan techniques from the Naruto world!"

Kaito's eyes widened. "Rasengan? That's no small reward!"

In the Naruto series, the Rasengan had been a game-changing technique. Developed by the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, it was inspired by the destructive power of the Tailed Beast Bomb. Its versatility and raw strength were undeniable, and its power grew alongside the user's skill.

The system's inheritance meant Kaito didn't need to train for years to master the technique. He could immediately perform every variant of the Wind Style Rasengan, though abilities tied to Sage Mode, like the Sage Art Rasengan, remained locked.

Still, even the standard versions of Rasengan he now commanded were A-rank jutsu, powerful enough to turn the tide in any battle.

As the knowledge flowed into him, Kaito felt a surge of energy and understanding. Unlike in the Naruto world, where Rasengan required chakra, the system had adapted the technique for this world. It converted chakra-based moves into techniques fueled by physical energy and willpower.

"Convenient," Kaito thought, smirking. The system always had a way of simplifying things. Within seconds, he felt as if he had trained for years under a master. He could summon the Rasengan, infuse it with wind nature, and manipulate it into various forms with ease.

His status panel updated accordingly:

Host: Kaito

Abilities:

Armament Haki (920/1000)

Observation Haki (920/1000)

Conqueror's Haki (800/1000)

Special Ability:

Sage Body (20/2000) (Currently in mid-stage, progresses through training or battle.)

Ninjutsu:

Complete Wind Style Rasengan techniques.

Tailed Beast:

One Tail (unlocked)

Tailed Beast Bomb (unlocked)

Nine-Tails Chakra Mode (unlocked)

Kurama Mode (unlocked)

(Note: Each Devil Fruit sacrifice unlocks more of Kurama's power.)

With the addition of these skills, Kaito's combat potential soared. The Rasengan techniques were directly tied to his strength, meaning their power would scale as he grew. And now that his Sage Body had reached mid-stage, the destructive force he could channel was significantly higher than before.

Kaito stood, looking around the room. He considered testing the Rasengan's power right there but quickly realized the risk. The energy of the Rasengan was devastating, and releasing it indoors might level the entire cabin. Reluctantly, he decided to hold off until he had a better opportunity.

Instead, he turned his focus back to his Sage Body training. If he wanted to push it to the advanced stage, he'd need to keep improving steadily. The system's progression requirements had doubled now—going from 1000 points to 2000—but Kaito wasn't discouraged. Being on the Rocks Pirates' ship meant he'd have plenty of opportunities to grow stronger.

By the time night fell, Kaito was dripping with sweat from his efforts.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host, on gaining 2 points of Sage Body progress."

Kaito smirked. It wasn't much, but every little bit helped. Not only was he strengthening his Sage Body, but his overall physical abilities were improving as well.

After cleaning up, Kaito was about to get some rest when there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Kaito called out.

"Captain Rocks requests your presence on the bow," came the respectful reply from a crewman.

Kaito's curiosity was piqued again. He'd nearly forgotten Rocks's earlier request to meet at night. He quickly got dressed and stepped out, wondering what Rocks could possibly want.

The deck was quiet, bathed in moonlight. Kaito's footsteps echoed softly as he made his way to the bow. There, silhouetted against the starry sky, stood Rocks. His imposing frame was as steady as a mountain, his gaze fixed on the horizon.

Rocks turned slightly as Kaito approached, a faint smile playing on his lips. "What's your purpose as a pirate, Kaito?" he asked, his voice calm but probing.

Kaito blinked, caught off guard. "My purpose?" he echoed. For a moment, he was at a loss. He hadn't really thought about it that way. When he first set sail, it wasn't about being a pirate or even fighting Marines. It was something else entirely.
