Chapter 1 - Heaven reveals its killing intent, the Greedy Wolf emerges

In the third year of the Xi Ping era of the Han Dynasty, atop Tianzhu Mountain,

The mountain peak was shrouded in mist year-round, filled with rare treasures and exotic beasts, truly a paradise for immortals.

However, it was sealed off by a grand formation, making it impossible for ordinary people to glimpse the scenery at the summit.

Several extraordinary Daoists were feasting in a crystal pavilion atop the mountain.

An elder dressed in white, holding a cane and with youthful features and green eyes, sighed:

"Heaven's path is flawed, and the Han dynasty is doomed.

According to our Daoist calculations, chaos will erupt within the next ten years..."

Across from him, a middle-aged man in luxurious brocade robes, handsome in appearance, agreed:

"Brother Nanhua, what you said is absolutely correct. But this time, something unusual has occurred: the Ziwei Star has split into three streams of fortune.

Even during the Chu-Han contention, there were only two streams of fortune.

It seems the coming chaos will be even worse than before."

As they discussed, a thin Daoist in black robes pointed to the sky and exclaimed in surprise:

"Brothers, look! What is that?"

Everyone looked up and gasped.

The Greedy Wolf Star had flown from beyond the heavens, directly colliding with the Ziwei Star. Its radiant light formed a fierce wolf's head, ravenously devouring the fortune of the Ziwei Star, absorbing more than half of its essence!

Nanhua exclaimed in shock: "This... The Sirius is offending Ziwei!

Heaven has unleashed its killing intent, shifting stars and constellations. This is the calamity of chaos caused by the Killing, Breaking, and Greedy Wolf trio!"

The young black-robed Daoist, unfazed by the spectacle, laughed and clapped:

"Ha! Heaven's killing intent, and the Greedy Wolf emerges. It even coincides with Luoyang. How amusing! Hahaha!"

...

In Luoyang City, inside an upscale tavern.

"Brother Benchu, are we sure getting Brother Gonglu this drunk won't be fatal?" asked a burly young man with a frown.

This young man, with his imposing appearance, was none other than the future famous Emperor Wei Wu, Cao Cao.

But at this moment, Cao Cao was just a wealthy scion in Luoyang City.

He and his friend Yuan Shao particularly enjoyed teasing Yuan Shao's younger brother, Yuan Shu.

Everyone in Luoyang knew Yuan Shu was an uneducated wastrel and a bit of a fool.

Today, the two had tricked Yuan Shu into drinking with them. Cao Cao had only intended to get a free meal.

But Yuan Shao had kept provoking Yuan Shu, goading him to drink excessively. Now, Yuan Shu was unconscious, slumped over the table.

This infuriated Cao Cao, who thought Yuan Shao had taken the joke too far.

Yuan Shao, however, was indifferent, a sly smile crossing his handsome face:

"If he drinks himself to death, wouldn't that be better?

He's just a useless wastrel. What's the point of keeping him alive?"

Cao Cao's expression darkened.

"Yuan Benchu, don't you think you've gone too far?"

Neither of them noticed that as they argued, a brilliant wolf-shaped constellation entered Yuan Shu's body.

...

"Water, I need water," Yuan Shu murmured weakly from the bed, his head throbbing with pain.

Yuan Shu was an ordinary salesman who had drunk excessively to close a deal, ultimately passing out completely.

In his hazy state, he vaguely heard someone say, "If he drinks himself to death, wouldn't that be better? A useless wastrel like him, what's the point of living?"

Even in his semi-consciousness, those words pierced him deeply.

Before becoming a salesman, Yuan Shu was once a lavish young master from a wealthy family.

However, due to his reckless extravagance and constant troublemaking for his father, the large company ultimately ended in ruin, leaving the family destroyed.

Without the family's protection, he found himself deeply in debt and had no choice but to take up sales to repay what he owed.

Yuan Shu sighed internally, realizing he'd once again drunk too much. He needed to sober up quickly—being late for work would mean another pay deduction.

"Young master, please wait a moment. I'll fetch you some water right away," a pleasant female voice sounded by his ear.

"Hmm? Young master? Servant? What's going on?" Yuan Shu was puzzled. Was he still drunk to the point of hallucinating?

He opened his eyes in confusion, only to find himself in an unfamiliar environment. He lay on an incredibly luxurious bed, surrounded by antique-style furniture that matched the bed's elegance. Nothing seemed modern.

With his experience, he could easily tell the furnishings in this room were of extraordinary value.

A bold idea suddenly struck Yuan Shu: Could it be that I've transmigrated?

To verify his suspicion, he struggled to climb out of bed and looked at his reflection in a bronze mirror by the bedside.

The person in the mirror had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, with fair skin and a prominent nose that gave his face strikingly defined features.

His gaze was deep and elegant, his lips rosy and delicate, and his long, flowing hair was tied neatly behind him.

This face was absolutely perfect, better proportioned than any male celebrity from his previous life.

However, it bore a gloomy and ominous aura.

This face was definitely not Yuan Shu's original face.

Sitting on the bedside, Yuan Shu let out a dejected sigh: "It seems I really have transmigrated."

Scenes could be deceiving, furniture could mislead, but this face was irrefutable evidence.

He chuckled lightly: "At least I've been blessed with a good appearance."

"Oh no, young master, why are you up?!"

While Yuan Shu was deep in thought, a petite and pretty maid entered the room carrying a delicate water cup.

Seeing Yuan Shu already sitting up, she was startled and quickly set the cup down to help him.

Waving her off, Yuan Shu said to the maid, "I'm fine. Can you tell me how I ended up here?"

The maid seemed perplexed and responded, "Young master, do you not remember what happened?"

"I have a terrible headache and can't recall much. Just tell me," Yuan Shu replied.

The maid nodded quickly and explained:

"The day before yesterday, you went drinking with Young Master Yuan Shao and Young Master Cao Cao. Perhaps you had a bit too much, and you passed out after returning home.

Master and Madam were very worried and summoned a doctor to examine you. The doctor said it was just a hangover and nothing serious.

Madam then had me watch over you. I've been here for a full day and night before you finally woke up."

Yuan Shao?! Cao Cao?!

Aren't these the famous warlords of the late Han and Three Kingdoms period? How did I end up drinking with them?

Could it be that I've transmigrated to the Three Kingdoms era?

On second thought, anyone capable of drinking with Yuan Shao and Cao Cao surely wasn't an ordinary person. He must be someone of equal standing with them.

Not bad. If this young master I've become has a decent background, maybe I can cozy up to Cao Mengde and live a good life in the future.

With this thought, Yuan Shu felt a bit more at ease.

The key now was to figure out who he was and what year it was.

Based on Yuan Shu's guess, this had to be before Dong Zhuo entered the capital; otherwise, Yuan Shao and Cao Cao wouldn't be drinking together.

He looked at the maid and asked,

"I'm feeling too unwell to recall much. Can you tell me who I am and what year it is now?"

Hearing his question, the maid nearly burst into tears.

How could the young master not remember anything? Did he injure his brain?

If something really happened to him, her life would undoubtedly be in danger as well.
