Chapter 31 - Chapter 31

Rocky used his strength to temporarily straighten his finger, enduring the sharp, piercing pain.

It was clearly an Enhancer collision, but facing a top-tier Enhancer Nen user like Uvogin, Rocky couldn't even break through his defense. Instead, he was the one who got hurt.

It seemed that if he wanted to harm Uvogin, he would need to use Nen flow to create an advantage. Without it, breaking through Uvogin's defense would be nearly impossible—the difference in their nen energy was just too vast.

Uvogin rubbed his nose and observed Rocky from a distance. "I didn't expect a little kid like you... could actually hurt me!"

"For your age, that's already impressive."

Uvogin narrowed his eyes and examined Rocky more carefully. The way Rocky had summoned the sword meant he was most likely a Conjurer. However, that punch just now—given Rocky's nen energy—shouldn't have done anything to him. But it did. Though it was just the tip of his nose that was slightly purple, Uvogin had a nagging feeling that something was off. If Rocky were truly an Enhancer, this wouldn't have happened.

Rocky, on the other hand, had already begun to control his emotions. As the red in his eyes gradually faded, he ended the Scarlet Eyes mode, focusing on keeping his energy steady. Though his energy increased in that state, it was still stronger for him to use his regular Nen in this situation.

Watching the red fade from Rocky's eyes, Uvogin's expression darkened slightly. Without the Scarlet Eyes, Rocky would no longer have the boost he needed to defeat him. Uvogin could sense that the Scarlet Eyes were special—especially for a child so young. He had seen enough to know that those eyes were valuable.

When Rocky vanished from Uvogin's sight, the swordsman reappeared beside Uvogin, holding the Sword of the Wise King. Uvogin was momentarily startled by the sudden shift. "What is this? Teleportation?"

Uvogin was beginning to understand the extent of Rocky's abilities. It wasn't speed; it was direct teleportation, moving instantly to the sword's location. How had a child developed such a formidable skill?

Rocky took a deep breath. Since the beginning of the battle, he had been tense, and that nervous energy had kept his nen from reaching its full potential. But now, he was more composed, and his power was returning. With Apparition, even if he was defeated, he wouldn't die instantly. That gave him the confidence to push forward.

"You'll understand soon enough," Rocky muttered.

Without hesitation, Rocky's body exploded into white crystals. The Sword of the Wise King flew out, rocketing straight toward Uvogin. Uvogin, with a nonchalant grin, punched the sword mid-flight, knowing it wouldn't be enough to break his defense.

But when the blade collided with his arm, it wasn't the weak strike he expected. Instead, it rang with the sound of metal striking metal, and a faint spark flew from the impact.

*So hard!*

The energy from Uvogin's arm surged, and he knocked the sword from Rocky's hand. But just as Uvogin reached for Rocky, the boy disappeared again.

White crystals scattered around Uvogin as he missed his grasp.

Rocky reappeared in the distance, sword in hand, and Uvogin's eyes widened with realization.

"Is that teleportation?" he muttered.

*That's right.* It wasn't just speed—Rocky was using his Nen to teleport directly to the sword's location.

Rocky exhaled calmly. Now that he wasn't so tense, his nen was in its best state. He could focus more and use his powers more effectively. He knew he had to keep pressing Uvogin, even if it meant taking risks.

As Uvogin stood in place, trying to comprehend what had just happened, Rocky began his next move. He exploded into white crystals again, reappearing instantly as his sword flew toward Uvogin.

This time, Rocky moved with purpose. The sword, as it spun toward Uvogin, wasn't just a distraction; it was a calculated maneuver.

Uvogin, seeing the sword coming, punched again, but this time he wasn't aiming at the sword—he was aiming at the back of it. He knew Rocky's trick now: if the sword went past him, the boy would instantly reappear to grab it.

Sure enough, as the sword flew past, Rocky reappeared, grabbing the sword and aiming it straight at Uvogin's back. The blade was fast, but Uvogin's reaction was even faster. He focused his Nen to block the attack just in time.

Before Rocky could land from his strike, he disappeared again, leaving only white crystals behind. Uvogin frowned, noticing something strange.

Rocky wasn't just teleporting to the sword anymore. He was using the white crystals as coordinates to teleport to multiple points in space.

Suddenly, Uvogin felt multiple points of attack simultaneously. Though the attacks weren't painful, the sensation was overwhelming. A strong gust of wind slammed into him from behind, and before he could react, Rocky had appeared on a nearby tree, launching another sword toward him.

The sword wasn't fast, and Uvogin was curious about what Rocky was trying to do. But just as he was pondering, a series of seven flashes appeared, forming a straight line in the air. The sword zigzagged toward him, and the afterimages of Rocky's teleportation surrounded Uvogin.

Ding... buzzing...
