Chapter 6 - 6. Fact or Fiction?

After doing some internet searches, I finally learned about the world view of this dream. It was a rather unrealistic setting.First, the most significant piece of information is that the number of men is on the decline. While they are not yet a rare species, the current male to female ratio appears to be around 1:4. Several decades ago, there was a time when the male to female ratio at birth began to gradually become skewed, and there was no way to stop this progression, which is why we have reached the current situation.Naturally, experts from various fields have conducted extensive research, but they have not been able to find a way to change gender, and it seems that the only thing we can do is wait for a natural backlash.Due to this influence, women are becoming more aggressive in their search for the few men available, and this trend is being seen in every country. The days when people were told to be careful because "men are wolves" are long gone, and carnivorous women are the norm. However, it seems that not all of them are like this.At the same time, the trend towards more herbivorous men has also progressed. Men seem to have become scared of women's sexual appetites, as they are taught from an early age and learn from the atmosphere around them.In particular, many men have an image of being preyed upon when it comes to sexual acts. The feeling of eroticism has come to be possessed exclusively by women. What's more, there are many survey results that show that, even within the world of free love, women long for a relationship in which the man actively pursues them. Having looked up all this information, I lay down in bed. Convinced that this all-too-convenient situation was a dream, I took a deep breath. Thinking lightly that it might be interesting if this dream continued into the next day, I tried to fall asleep. Even in a dream, looking eye to eye and talking to a beautiful woman was exhausting for me. Surely, if I fell asleep here, I would return to the real world. That's what dreams are like, I thought, as I closed my eyes.In other words, I was trying to aim to wake up from the dream. And then I opened my eyes again. I woke up imagining that I had finally returned to my old world, a painful world where nothing was interesting. However, when I woke up again, I saw the exact same scene. "Why...?" I found myself muttering to myself. It must be common to fall asleep within a dream and then wake up, but if that wasn't the case, I had no idea how to wake up from a dream.Could this world really be real? Could something as ridiculous as being transported to another world really exist?I tried to think about it a lot, but in the end, I decided to give up thinking. A dream from which you don't know when you'll wake up is probably close to reality, and I didn't feel there was any need to force myself to wake up. Fortunately, my consciousness was clear, and I was even able to taste the food. I could even taste the sweetness of the rice, something I don't often feel in reality.Little by little, I began to think in this world, and decided to return to the living room. The woman who seemed to be my mother and the woman who seemed to be my sister, the two people who appeared to be on my side for the time being, should still be there.Perhaps this was a chance to engage in the kind of emotional communication that I had forgotten how to do. I found myself contemplating such a luxury for a moment.
