Chapter 19 - 19: Empire

"Isn't that the Gold Rank Streamer Triton?"

The words echoed through the air, filled with a mix of awe and confusion.

The group of people stared at the figure before them, their eyes widening in recognition.

"How can he enter the Tutorial Realm?" one of them whispered, breaking the silence.

The question hung in the air, unanswered. The Tutorial Realm was supposed to be a separate dimension, a place where only the participating Players could enter.

It was a realm that existed beyond the boundaries of Earth, a realm where the rules of reality were rewritten.

Triton was part of the old batch. He had cleared the Tutorial a long time ago. So he shouldn't have been able to enter.

"Wait a minute. Look at your surroundings. This isn't the Tutorial Realm!" another voice exclaimed, the words dripping with disbelief.

The group's gaze shifted, taking in the familiar sights and sounds of their home planet. Confusion etched across their faces as they tried to make sense of their unexpected return.

"This is... Earth? Is the Tutorial over? How are we back?" a voice quivered with uncertainty, breaking the tense silence.

The realisation began to sink in. They were back on Earth, but how was it possible? The Tutorial was still pending. Did they all pass without even going through the third stage?

"The Tutorial can't be over. This must be a part of the Tutorial," another person exclaimed, their voice filled with conviction.

The group nodded in agreement, still filled with some scepticism. They had come too far to let doubts cloud their minds.

It had never happened before that the third stage of the Tutorial was held on earth. But this time, a lot of stages were different from what they had heard. So they couldn't judge this tutorial with the common sense they had.

"You are correct. You are back on Earth. And also, the Tutorial isn't over," Triton's voice resonated with confirmation, cutting through the confusion.

He looked around, his eyes meeting the familiar faces of some of the players in the group.

Among them were those who hailed from the same city as him. And there, standing among them, was the player he had personally sponsored for the Tutorial.

The young man who was sponsored by Triton was initially shocked. But his shock soon turned to excitement.

If the third stage was actually going to be held on earth, and Triton was here, that meant he could take his help. He could take the top rank.

If others had a problem with it, they could only blame their luck that their sponsors weren't here.

Unfortunately, cold water was soon poured over his excitement.

"Although you are back on earth, don't be too happy. I'm just a guide here. If you all want to clear the third stage, you can only rely on your own abilities."

"Even I can't interfere, even if your life is in danger. And believe me when I say it, that your life will be in danger. Even I wouldn't have been able to clear this stage if I was in your place in my younger days."

Who was Triton? He was one of the few Gold Rank Streamers. Even if he wasn't a player in the top hundred ranking, he still managed to survive for so long because he was talented.

For him to be saying that even he would have found it hard to clear this stage in their place, the youngsters grew even more concerned.

Just what was this Tutorial? Why were they so unlucky to be a part of this batch? All the previous batches had advanced knowledge and preparations. But they were shoved in Trials that they had not expected.

Most of the Players present here were already starting to see their entire life flash before their eyes. If they could give up, they would have given up on this Tutorial right now.

Unfortunately, there was no giving up in Tutorial as that just meant getting erased forever.

No one knew where the players who were erased went. But it was common consensus that they were dead. None of the young players here wanted to die without even trying.

There was also another person who didn't seem to have any concern on his face. Instead, he was in awe as he looked at his surroundings.

It was the first time he had been on earth in the last three hundred years. And he couldn't believe how much it had changed.

They were standing outside what looked like a city. But this city looked so futuristic. He could already see towers so tall that they looked like they were piercing the skies.

Even the entrance of this utopian city was guarded by giant robots that looked like nothing that was imagined in the era he came from.

These giant robots looked less mechanical and more humanoid.

The entire city was protected by a force field. It was too much protection for an ordinary City. He wondered if it was one of the main cities, a fortress of humanity.

"Isn't this the Rei City? Why are we at the outskirts of the Empire in this backwater City? Are we going to have the third stage in the city?"

Kim Seojin revealed a surprise to hear someone call this city backwaters City in the outskirts of the Empire.

For him, there was a lot to unpack in this statement.

'This is a backwater City for him? Then what are modern cities in this era like? And did he just say Empire?'

He came from an Era where no Kingdoms or Empires existed. This was a concept which was erased a long time ago. Instead of these feudal societies, only Nations existed.

'Did they return to the Feudal System in this era? Then who is the ruler of this Empire?'

"You are correct. This is the city of Rei. And it is also where you will have your third stage of Tutorial." Triton nodded.
