Lillian widened her eyes, hurrying to summon the Sonata of Revenge. (2)

As the familiar hilt of her rapier appeared in her hand, she slashed upwards, intending to parry Marionette's overhead swing.

As the edge of her rapier met Marionette's shadowy black sword, she watched as her blade passed through it.

Watching as her sword sliced through it like butter.

It was like Marionette's sword was purely made of gas.

She then stared at the sword of darkness hovering before her face, staring down at her threateningly.

Almost as if it was telling her it could end her at any moment.

Lillian then tore her eyes away from it, staring deeply at Marionette, who stared back silently.

She stood before Lillian, staring down at her due to her taller stature.

She then said in a cold tone.

"Dead. Try again."

"How do I even counter that!?" Lillian exclaimed frustratedly. (8)
