Chapter 17 - C16 Void Brothers The Fenrir’s Journey

Her thoughts drifted to Dracula, the intriguing human who had crossed her path. His resilience and determination had sparked her interest in ways she hadn't anticipated.

She remembered the intensity of their night together and the potential she saw in him.

"I wonder what he's up to now,"

She mused aloud, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Probably stirring up trouble."

Just as she was beginning to relax, her cybernetic lenses flashed, indicating an incoming message.

With a resigned sigh, she activated her holographic heads up display.

The image of a Demon Star Realms officer dressed In a crimson service uniform with a ceremonial plasma edged longsword strapped to his hip appeared.

"Your Imperial Grace, when we will be departing for the Demon Star realms?"

The officer asked as politely as he could.

Lilith's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Inform the crew to prepare for departure within the next hour. I need to wrap up some matters here before we leave."

Lilith commanded In one breath.

"Understood, Your Imperial Grace,"

The officer replied, his image flickering out as the communication ended.

...

I headed back to my room, excitement and anticipation buzzing in the air.

As I stepped inside, I saw the neatly folded black space uniform designed entirely by me laid out on my bed.

The one-piece suit was utalitarian and as militaristic as one could get, designed to protect its wearer from the extreme elements of space, both the cold vacuum and the intense heat.

Alongside it were black combat boots and a black beret, with the Terranum Imperium insignia pinned to the front.

I quickly changed into the uniform, feeling the material adapt to my body, It was lightweight yet incredibly durable and It made me look even more beefier.

I tugged on the boots and adjusted the beret, admiring how the insignia stood out against the dark fabric.

"Time to see what the others think,"

I muttered to myself, heading out the door as I licked my canines subconciuosly.

As I walked toward the reception area, I saw my battle brothers gathering, all wearing their new uniforms.

Airid, Paul, Robert, Darius, and Julian were already there.

"Damn, we look like a badass spec ops unit straight out of a sci-fi movie,"

Airid said, grinning as he adjusted his beret.

"Yeah, these uniforms are something else,"

Paul agreed, doing a mock salute.

"I feel like I could take on the galaxy."

Robert inspected his boots, giving a satisfied nod.

"And they're practical too. No more worrying about freezing or burning our hairy asses, scratch that their not hairy anymore up out there."

Darius laughed, clapping me on the back.

"Drac, you've outdone yourself. We look like a team of elite mercs ready to kick some serious ass."

Julian said with a smirk.

We all took a moment to admire each other's uniforms, adjusting and making sure everything was in place.

"Alright, gents,"

I said, taking a deep breath.

"Let's check out and get this show on the road."

After saying this we walked to the SCMC reception desk, where a bombshell of a receptionist greeted us.

"Good morning finally checking out?"

The receptionist asked.

"Yep,"

I replied.

The receptionist didn't waste any time In processing our checkout smoothly, scanning our credentials, and ensuring everything was in order.

As we finished, the receptionist gave a slight bow.

"Thank you for staying with us. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors."

"Thanks,"

Airid said, flashing a grin.

"We're going to need it."

As we stepped outside, the bright sunlight reflecting off the towering skyscrapers, I felt a surge of pride and excitement.

We were ready to embark on this new journey together, as Terranum Imperium private military company TIPMC for short.

It didn't take long before a sleek, automated taxi that I booked earlier arrived to take us to the nearest spacelift.

We boarded, securing our luggage, and took our seats.

The taxi lifted off smoothly, giving us a panoramic view of the futuristic cityscape.

"Damn, this doesn't stop Impressing me"

Julian said, looking out the window.

"Hard to believe how much has changed."

"Yeah,"

Robert agreed.

"But it's nothing compared to what's out there in the galaxy."

Paul checked our flight details on his holographic glass see through phone.

"Our transport ship leaves in 6 hours. We should have plenty of time to get through security and board."

Darius leaned back in his seat, a satisfied grin on his face.

"Let's make our mark on the galaxy"

It didn't take long before the taxi landed in the spacelift's parking lot, specifically reserved for aircraft.

The moment our black waxed and polished combat boots hit the asphalt, all eyes landed on us, which wasn't a surprise.

We must have looked like a chain straight out of a high-budget sci-fi action movie

Ignoring the stares and whispering we walked into the spacelift terminal, a towering structure of nanocomposite alloy that connected E*rth to one of the spaceports orbiting high above.

The crowds parted slightly as we approached, people whispering and casting curious glances our way.

"Just think how much attention we would attract If we came fully geared and armed"

Robert joked, his eyes scanning the bustling activity around us.

"They'd probably call In a SWAT team or whatever they have to take care of highly armed terrorists In this century In seconds"

Darius agreed, his expression one of amusement.

Inside the Spacelift we checked in and were guided to our designated lift.

The interior was spacious and high-tech, with large windows offering a breathtaking view of the city below as we ascended.

The seats were like those on a high-end roller coaster, designed to secure us comfortably during the ascent.

"Alright, gents, strap in and take a nap,"

I said, settling into my seat.

"Save every bit of energy you can"

The others nodded, adjusting their crash seats.

The hum of the lift and the gentle vibration as it started moving up was almost soothing. Within moments, the rest of the gang fell asleep while I entered a half a sleep half awake state which I learned to achieve after spending years In the military.

It didn't take long before I opened my eyes to the spacelift's AI voice announcing our arrival.

"Attention passengers, we have reached the orbital spaceport. Please prepare to disembark."

I shook the grogginess from my head and nudged the others awake.

"Alright, rise and shine sleeping beauties we're here. Let's move."

I barked as I unbuckled and exited the lift, stepping into the bustling station.

The sight that greeted us was nothing short of magnificent.

Huge viewports lined the walls, offering a panoramic view of the space.

Warships of all shapes and sizes were docked, departing, or arriving, their gigantic forms glinting in the light from the nearby sun.

"Wow,"

Airid breathed, his eyes wide with awe.

"Back In our day, we could only see this kind of scene In a scifi blockbuster"

Paul agreed, stepping closer to the window.

"We were really born In the wrong century"

Robert whistled softly.

"And that's just a space port of a level one Interstellar civilization"

Darius leaned against the glass, his expression one of sheer wonder.

"Yeah It makes you wonder just what do those level 5 and higher Interstellar civilizations have to offer"

Julian nodded, a rare smile on his face, we stood there for a few moments, soaking in the sight and the significance of the view In front of us.

This was just the tip of the Iceberg of what the M*lky W*y galaxy had to offer.

This moment that couldn't be described in words was the start of something big, something that would change our lives forever.

"Alright enough sightseeing lets go already"

I barked pulling out my gang from their dazed states.

"Party pooper"

Airid remarked sarcastically as he and the rest of the boys started following after me.
