Chapter 2 - Bargaining With A God: Getting Three Wishes

"I get it, I get it. But in my world, nothing comes for free," Daniel interrupted. "I'm sure for the Dragon Clan to be eliminated, your enemy must be on par with the former Dragon Clan at its peak. If I help you, I'll get caught up in the karma and end up being chased by your enemies."

The Devouring Dragon God, who heard this, fell into thought. He knew about the enemy of the Dragon Clan, and this young man would go through a lot of ordeals. If he wasn't careful, he would die.

"Well, I will give you the chance to make a wish. Ask me for anything," the Devouring Dragon God said.

"Anything?" Daniel was surprised, asking again.

The Devouring Dragon God nodded, though a bit confused as to why Daniel was surprised and asking again.

Daniel's expression turned sly. "Old geezer, then I wish I had a hundred wishes."

Silence reigned in the starry sky, the Devouring Dragon God looking at Daniel speechlessly. He had never seen someone this greedy.

No one had ever made such a request before. Most would cherish their one opportunity, some even leaving the favor for their future generations in case they were ever in danger.

"I'm sorry, young man, but this can't be feasible," the Dragon God said solemnly.

"Then you can take me back to my world," Daniel chuckled.

The Dragon God, who heard this, felt helpless. He gazed at Draco, who had an unfazed expression yet an innocent and clean gaze.

Sighing helplessly, he said, "I will only give you three chances..."

"Deal!" Daniel quickly agreed, leaving the Dragon God stupefied. He had expected some negotiations, but this young man accepted immediately.

Since he knew the Dragon God could hear his thoughts, Draco thought about bargaining further. Meanwhile, his real thoughts were something else entirely.

The Devouring Dragon God never expected to be played like this.

"So, what's your first wish?" the Dragon God asked.

"My first wish is that I must be the most charming, handsome, cute, enchanting, holy, prince-charming young man," Daniel said in haste, rubbing his fists together.

The Devouring Dragon God furrowed his brows as he looked at Daniel speechlessly. This wish was just too unexpected—a simple one at that.

"You will get your wish fulfilled when you get reborn," the Devouring Dragon God chuckled.

Daniel felt delighted when he heard this. Finally, this was the first step in creating a harem.

No beautiful lady would like an ugly man—it was rare to see one who did. As for him, he aimed to subdue most—no, all—of the beauties and goddesses, creating the strongest and most beautiful harem.

When the Dragon God sensed Draco's thoughts, he felt speechless. Black lines formed on his forehead as he began to look at Daniel with doubt, wondering if this young man could truly complete the mission.

But it was rare to see someone possessing both the Devouring Soul and the Devouring Body. He would be able to use the inheritance easily and perfectly—even transcend it.

Even the Dragon God himself didn't know the true limit of the Devouring Body and Soul. He could only hope that Daniel would reach it.

"What's your second wish?" The Dragon God gazed at Daniel.

Daniel fell into thought, considering what to wish for. There was no need to wish for ladies because he himself would conquer them.

As for the ability not to feel pain, that might turn him into a killing machine. It wasn't that he liked pain—he hated it a lot.

But without knowing the pain of going through something, one couldn't truly realize its importance.

The only thing he might need now was a skill.

"I wish for a summoning skill," Daniel replied.

The Dragon God nodded. He felt this was a good choice. From Draco's thoughts, he could see that he needed it to summon powerful beings.

"Okay, then. You will be bestowed with a summoning skill that allows you to summon dragonoids," the Dragon God explained.

When Daniel heard this, he felt overjoyed. How cool would it be to summon dragons? He could already picture himself soaring through the sky with dragons behind him.

What a good life! No need to fight for anything—just let the dragons do the job.

The Dragon God chuckled, shaking his head when he heard Daniel's thoughts.

"What's your last wish?" the Dragon God asked eagerly. It was finally time to send this brat to his new world.

"Old geezer, no need to rush. Take things slowly," Daniel chuckled faintly with a smile.

Black lines appeared on the Dragon God's forehead. "I told you to stop calling me 'old geezer.'"

Daniel pretended not to hear this as he whistled. The Dragon God, who was in his human form, felt like pummeling him. This brat had been making him angry all this time.

Daniel smiled slyly. It was time to ask for something no protagonist had ever wished for in a novel.

"Old geezer, my last wish is to learn how to create a system, and you must provide all the materials needed for me to create my own," Daniel said cheekily.

The Dragon God stared at him. They locked eyes, and though time was stagnant here, it felt like they had been staring at each other for more than thirty minutes.

Daniel maintained his sheepish expression, smiling at the Dragon God.

"Wish you a successful reincarnation." That was all Draco heard before a black vortex appeared before him, sucking him in.

Daniel immediately realized the Dragon God had no intention of fulfilling his wish. He never thought a god would go back on his word.

"Old geezer, may your dick never stand up again! May it burn into ashes! Even if it stands, may you never cum!" Daniel cursed as he disappeared completely into the black vortex.

The Dragon God shivered upon hearing these wrathful and wicked curses. He quickly checked his "brother" down there and sighed in relief when he saw that everything was still intact.

If Draco hadn't already disappeared, he would have beaten him black and blue, oath or not.

He sighed. "This brat is really going to cause trouble... and might just become the enemy of the world."
