Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Not the prologue

"He's a prodigy,

 He's blessed by god,

 His family is rich,

 It's a lie,

 He has powers,

 He uses witchcraft,

 He can do it,

 He's done it,

 He would win,"

Of course I would win, of course am better, of course I can do, of course I've done it. If you work hard you're supposed to be good at what you do. If you work had you're supposed to be better.

Rich family? Tch, how can a rich person only see a celebrities on tv.

Witchcraft? Why is it that the witchcraft could only work after I've acquired all my talents and skills.

god blessed me? The only blessing I was given by god was this life and not being disabled. Most of everyone in this world were given that privilege.

I don't mind all those accusations that much. The one I hate the most is, "his a prodigy." For many years. Ever since I was a kid I tried to do everything. I picked up anything that I so as fun. I also had that time in life where I gave excuses for everything. I ate procrastination for breakfast. I even used to procrastinate about getting up and watching TV. I procrastinated about everything. I watched my friends be good at things, they were the real prodigy. Learn something then introduce it to them and they would demolish you. I did find it unfair but finally I found a way to skip pass the hacks they had. Anyone who played online games could find a way to leave pass this feeling Or just become a hacker yourself or rich. But non of that was easy.

 ...

"Aurmin damn, I thought you were good at math but you're trash. Grade 8,9 and 10 has broken you man."

Sixteen year old Aurmin looked at his friend Axel. Axel was his childhood friend. Axel was more of a delinquent but he was good at math. After all he did get more marks than Aurmin In there grade nine examination.

"I know you're better but you don't have to rub it," Aurmin was cut short by axel.

"I'll rub it in, book a heart attack if you want to be saved." Axel smugly said.

 ...

Everyday Aurmin tried to read a book, whether he would understand or not. Getting used to books was a first right? Understanding it would have to wait. Aurmin immersed himself in so much books that he began procrastinating about stopping to read books.

His eldest sister, had always believed that Aurmin was better in academics because of his past. So achieving what he wanted was also of making his sister and parents proud. His other elder sister didn't care much about being made proud of, she didn't demand a lot.

 ...

Aurmin was screwing through his phone on a Wednesday. He had just finished his classes and was looking for the "lady killer," Mel. Mel promised to buy Aurmin lunch. And since it was 12 am it was about time he made good of his words. As he kept walking, his eyes were glued to his phone. He bumped into a taller guy. The guy looked inches taller than Aurmin.

 Aurmin looked up and announced his height;

"I am, 5'7. Bad or good day." Aurmin stared at the guy.

"6'4 on a bad day," the guy said looking at the short guy infront of him.

"My names Aurmin. By the way, see you later dude.

Before Aurmin could leave, the guy grabbed his shoulder. Aurmin's defensive sensors went off in his head. He quickly turned around to the guy and lifted his arm straight.

"What are you trying to do?" Aurmin questioned the guy suspiciously his gaze now cold.

A cold sweat fell from the guys head, when this shorty infront of him lifted his hand he felt like he couldn't move and he got scared. So he decided to say what he was going to say before was beaten.

"Am going on a date, but my girlfriend is bringing her friend. And I don't have many friends I just transferred here." The guy honestly spoke.

"hm, I won't find Mel anyway. Let's go." Aurmin immediately agreed. He had never officially dated anyone in his entire life. So it was safe to say that Aurmin was a loser. Of course he did kiss a girl and he felt how gentle there bodies could be but that was only because they allowed him because they were teenagers who didn't no good. The girls who had kissed him must have found anyone to try what was popular with them. Since kissing was a flex they simply used him. They were not his girlfriends, non of them were.

"Wow, I thought it would take a lot of convincing." The tall guy sighed but didn't move because Aurmin's hand was infront of him.

"Bro, can you like move your hand? Its scary." The guy asked.

" Am sorry, I thought you were going to attack me. That was me overacting. " Aurmin put his hand down and allowed the guy to lead the way. They walked out of the campus.

"My name is David by the way, majoring in business administration." David introduced himself before seizing his movements.

"Oh, am majoring in a lot actually. So it would take a while to list. You'll know some other time this topic comes up." Aurmin said, and followed David's move by stopping

" I understand," David nodded in understanding. A cab came by and they got on it. After a not so long drive they stopped at hungry lion restaurant. Aurmin wasn't here for the food but his thoughts got rewritten to make him agreeing to this date more logical.

«yep, even if the girl am introduced to is ugly I'll enjoy the beautiful food.» he thought.

"Oh, before we enter bro, my girlfriend told me the girl she came with violates. She delivers had facts." David said as they proceeded to the door slowly.

"Is she beautiful?" Aurmin nonchalantly asked.

"yes, she's my girlfriends roommate. If I had a chance with her? I would break up with my girlfriend without regretting a thing," David spoke.

Aurmin's interest was piqued. He was now curious about this beautiful girl.

"Eh, do you love your girlfriend?" Aurmin question.

 David gave a quick response;

 "More than anything."

 ...

They continued talking until they entered the restaurant.
