"A flame attack! I need to dodge!"
Mark exclaimed as he jumped in the opposite direction to the rabbits, evading about five fireballs. Without giving him the chance to make a comeback, the rabbits unleashed another round, aiming towards Mark's position.
In a split second, several fireballs, more than the first round, rained on Mark in his safe spot.
"Bomb, bomb, bomb."
They caused minor explosions upon impact with the ground. Mark lay there, his hands covering the back of his head with his face flat on the ground as the fireballs rained down.
The dust that blurred the surroundings cleared out after a few seconds, and noticing the barrage was over, Mark stood up, feeling like he'd been actually burnt.
"Ahhh!"
He screamed in pain as he fell back to his knees. It was as if his entire body had received burnt scars, but when he checked himself in the struggle, he couldn't find anything.

The system popped up as he still struggled on the ground.

A mechanical voice sounded in his ears.
After a few seconds of experiencing his agonizing pain, he regained his sanity, standing to his feet as traces and drops of tears could be made out on his dusty face, showcasing how much he suffered.

Upon getting back to his feet, he turned back to the rabbits and saw them conjuring another round of fireballs.
"I can't let you hit me again!"
He yelled as he dashed at his max speed towards the creatures, closing in on them before they could fire and hitting one of them with all his strength.
The creature was pushed a few inches back, breaking its fall with the rabbits right behind it as it distorted the aura that formed around them.
In an instant, the fireballs the rest of the rabbits in the front line were conjuring up exploded, killing a lot of them in an instant.
"I won't be defeated that easily."
He muttered, grabbing his sword with a firm grip and knocking a rabbit that was close to him, preparing to attack, right on the head.
It also moved a few inches before finally halting, falling to the ground, and turning into cubes of code in a matter of seconds.
"Wow, nice."
He said with a proud tone, finding new confidence to continue with his battle.
"Kyee!"
"Kyee!"
The forest rabbits sounded off as different colored auras started forming around each individual. Some of them had colorless auras, and all of them moved in—about seven in total—surrounding Mark.
"What's next?"
He muttered, a wide grin spreading on his face. Since this was the first time he had actually been in a fantasy world and fought an epic fight, he felt his adrenaline levels spiking.
"Wosh, wosh, wosh."
The rabbits jumped at him with unreal speed, opening their mouths and trying to take a nag out of Mark.
Even though they'd gotten faster, Mark didn't have an issue dealing with them due to their size. He had grown used to dodging projectiles in the real world since they were usually being stoned.
But seeing that there was fire in the rabbits' last attack, he panicked and almost cost himself the quest and the bracelet of Loky.
He dodged several attacks, moving like a snake trying to escape a predator as his steps became what seemed to be a dance.
"Ah!"
A slight sound of discomfort escaped his lips as he stepped.
"What the?"
He thought as he lost his footing as well as ground in the ongoing battle. The rabbit slashed its claws at him, looking to scar his face after leaping into the air upon noticing Mark's distortion.
His lack of balance made him sloppy as he fell, not allowing him to dodge the attack. He stretched out his hand to block the attack, the rabbit's claws slashing his palm.
He felt as if he had been cut by knives, and even though the cut was shallow, it stung. The extra force added by the rabbit's attack pushed him to the ground.
Without hesitation, he decided to stand up but couldn't, as he felt something slippery on the ground. He looked down to check what it was and found mud.
A puzzled expression appeared on his face as his eyes began darting through the rabbits, trying to find the one responsible.
In a split second, he saw one coated with a brown aura, its claws dug deep into the soil.
"I need to take that one out ASAP. You can do this, Mark. You've read a lot of novels. You can nail your first magic attack with ease."
"Study, concentrate, imagine."
He closed his eyes, picturing how the aura formed around the rabbits, concentrating and fixing its nature—being of fire—and imagining it conjuring a fireball in his hand.
"Release!"
He exclaimed as he opened his eyes and instantly targeted the rabbit. A fireball, one the size of a tennis ball, shot out of his hand, hitting the rabbit from the distance.
The mud beneath his feet dried up in an instant. But it was too late; the rabbits that surrounded him were in the middle of finishing him.
The faster ones closed into range, about to slash, while several spells flew towards him.
"Mana!"
{MP: 25/30}
"Ok, time to end this."
The aura around him intensified, still bearing a red hue, as Mark muttered.
"Burst."
The aura around him caught fire, seemingly releasing an explosion around Mark's body and taking out all the rabbits in an instant.
"Ahhh!"
Since he hadn't any practical knowledge of how to control his mana, he burnt himself, almost ending his own life.
The explosion was enough to set the surrounding area on fire, but the flames died out in a matter of seconds.
Mark lay down, too weak to move, as the pain of the burns kept him seemingly in a paralyzed state.
The pain died down after a few minutes, giving him the chance to stand up.
