"Home sweet home! Not so sweet…" his voice lowered as he stared at the sorry state of his house.
The cat jumped down from his hands, inspecting its new home. It moved around the house, finding its way around the house.
Alfred watched in confusion, not understanding how a cat could be that smart.
After finally setting down, he prepared for bed. The cat would sleep on the floor. He had willingly dropped a pillow so it would make itself comfortable on the pillow but the cat wasn't willing to do that. It climbed the bed, finding a comfortable spot near Alfred. It circled around the spot it chose for a while before finally laying down.
"Hey! This bed belongs to me! You can't sleep here!"
In the dimly lit room, the cat stared at Alfred without blinking for a few seconds before lazily turning its head away.
"Well…someone's got a hella attitude. You know I'm basically your master now, so you should at least show some respect."
The cat purred in response, it sounded almost sarcastic.
"Are you kidding me! I'm the one who took you in, not the other way round. I'm your master!"
It purred again, but this time, Alfred was sure that the cat was disrespecting him.
"How far have I fallen? A cat has no respect for me.." he muttered.
Gradually, a small smile formed on his lips. Sure, the cat was rude but at least he wasn't alone.
"When was the last time I had felt this way before bed?"
He used his hands as a platform to rest his head on as he stared at the roof.
"I'll be turning twenty in two days…how long has it been since I celebrated my birthday with someone.." his voice turned melancholic as he spoke. "At least, now I have you with me. It won't be as lonely."
Silence.
The cat made no sound and it finally occurred to Alfred that he hadn't named his cat.
"Are you male or female? I'll need to check.." he stood up, already prepared to find out the gender of his cat when the cat scratched him. It had sprung up on all fours and entered attack mode.
"I just need to know so I can decide on a name. I promise, I'm not doing anything weird." He tried checking again and this time, his face was hurt.
And thus, the battle to discover the gender began with Alfred chasing the cat round the room and the cat running and prancing like its life depended on it.
"You know what! I give up. I'll just call you Shim. Since you refuse to let me see." He raised his hands in surrender and defeat as he slowly made his way back to the bed panting.
The cat narrowed its eyes and when it was sure that Alfred was really leaving, it relaxed.
"Stealth.."
Alfred suddenly grabbed the cat, checking what he needed to confirm. He burst out laughing as he dropped the terrified cat. All the hairs on its body stood and it remained still.
"You must really not want to be gay. That's why you didn't want me to check." Alfred continued laughing, amused by the absurdity of the matter.
He felt a sudden chill as he continued laughing. His laugh slowly reduced until it could no longer be heard. The cat was giving him death stares.
"This much killing intent from a cat is absurd."
Without making any sounds or gestures, the cat made its way back to the bed where Alfred soon joined.
"I have a few names in my head but I don't know if I should use them."
He racked his brain, thinking of a name but he was unable to find any so he decided to think of it later.
"So, Stealth is a skill that lets my movement become extra silent. It's a useful skill for a thief, especially a pickpocket. Or maybe, I should just become a thief so I can use the skill more, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't align with the will of Avamos or rather, the type of system I have. I have a gangster system which means I'm probably meant to be a gangster or something related to a gangster."
He groaned, already tired of thinking of the system.
"I have it! I'll name you Zeus. I think Zeus was like a guy who hooked up with a lot of beautiful women, and since you feel so strongly about it, I'll name you Zeus so you can be valiant like him. And he was also a Greek god too."
The cat groaned in its mind and rolled his eyes but said nothing.
And so, they both succumbed to the force that no living thing could defy.

[Ohayo! It's a new day! Another day to use your system and follow the will of Avamos!]
[System Daily update:82%]
[System Daily update: Complete]
Alfred groaned as his eyelids fluttered open.
"Is this darn system seriously going to wake me like this every morning?"
[Until host has been able to control his sleep pattern]
"What the…did you just..? Forget it."
He sat up, rubbing his eyes to clear the sleep away from his eyes.
"System interface!"
A blue screen popped up in front of him, displaying his status but he just looked right past them. The only thing he wanted to find out was the weird tasks the system would give again.
[Daily tasks]
"Oh…so now you don't care about my balanced diet again. This system.."
His phone made a ding sound indicating a message or just a notification. He grabbed his phone and saw it.
"The body has been found." He muttered to himself. Scrolling through the phone, he stumbled on another news item. The guard who had been chasing him was found dead.
He couldn't stop the gasp that escaped his lips.
"That man is dead….how!"
"A lunar eclipse will be occurring tomorrow.." he read out the next headline, surprised.
"An eclipse on my birthday.."
