[Will you be accepting the optional quest?]
[Yes/No]
He stood outside the restaurant staring at the screen which he alone could see. He stood there for a long time still unable to decide on what to do.
"Shit! It would be sensible for me to do just that but it's bad and what if I get caught. They won't go easy on me. Terminating my scholarship is the least they could do. Although the people on the bright side aren't funding my scholarship, they do have a say as they established the school."
He ruffled his hair and groaned out loud, causing the passerby to give him weird stares.
"Fuck it! Yes!!" He yelled, finally accepting the quest.
"What does it matter if it's wrong! The whole world has been acting wrongly to me all this time. Forcing me to pay a debt I have no idea about, they don't deserve my goodness. Besides, it's only natural for me to do things like this."
He spent some time outside convincing himself that he did the right thing before he finally decided on the next course of action.
"Daily tasks!" He yelled in his mind.
[Daily tasks]
[Run five kilometers: 500 meters done]
[Have an healthy breakfast: Task failed]
[Write your upcoming exams: Failed due to the inability to remember]
[Talk to a girl?: 100%]
[Learn more about your system, about the gangster system: 100%]
A smile formed on his lips as he went through the progress of his daily tasks. He didn't know why but seeing the amount of tasks left dwindling brought him a feel of saying and achievement.
This is one hell of a task. But, for the first time in my life, I feel like I'm actually enjoying the day. At least that's what I feel since I can't be sure now that I can't remember anything."
He brought out the ligts bills which Ilya had so graciously given him and counted a total of fifty ligts Bill's.
During the time when the world was still normal, 1 Ligt bill or Seid bill was equivalent to five dollars which meant that in her anger, she had dropped a considerably high amount of money for someone like Alfred.
"Who carries that much cash around these days? One of the perks of being rich."
Touching the little tattoo on the left side of his neck, he sighed and began walking. He had decided to go back home and take a shower, change into clothes that would be comfortable or appropriate for the mission he would be taking at night.
"Maybe something black would be appropriate."
People on the dark side and the bright side could be identified by the tattoos on their necks. The tattoos were not in one particular shape or pattern but they were in strategic locations.
The people who belonged to the bright side or the side of Light had their tattoos on the right side of their necks while the people belonging to the dark part had theirs on the left side of their necks.
One strange thing about the tattoos was that they weren't put there deliberately. Once someone decided the side they would be on, a mark would appear on their necks, branding them.
Although this was an act that could be considered supernatural or magical even, there wasn't a trace of magic or anyone manifesting supernatural powers. It was one of the situations humans had come to live with ever since the sudden change. Plus, it made it easier for identification so they didn't really complain.
Alfred heard a ding sound in his head and he felt shiver run down his spine but calmed down when he came to the conclusion that it was the system.

"Finally! Who knew three hours could be so long." He moaned, feeling his memory gradually return.
His happy expression twisted into a grimace. "I really didn't like her. Arghh!!" His face heated up. "And I said I loved her, no wonder she left.."

"Did the system….just make fun of me?" He wondered, extremely confused.
[Hehe]
"Son of a …. Ugh! Forget it. Why do I even bother?"
He continued walking, making several turns until he got to the money exchange center so he could convert the Ligt bills to Seids so he could spend it. He as a person belonging to the dark side couldnt spend ligt bills.
"Good day…"he greeted the attendant who had her back facing him.
She turned and he almost got a nosebleed seeing her. Overly generous proportions in the chest area and they weren't properly covered either. She popped the gum in her mouth with a smirk.
"Like what you see, young man? Twenty Seids to touch and feel them. The price is higher if you want to do more than just touching. I know you want to do more." She licked her lower lips and winked, moving closer to his face so he could have a good look at the goods.
Alfred stumbled back, almost falling as he coughed out louder than normal.
"I..I ju..just want to convert bills."
"Tch! You're no fun!"
"Eh..?"
"Give them to me."
He handed the ligt bills to her and waited for her to change them. She handed them to him, and out of habit, he counted the Seids in his hands.
"There's only forty five Seid Bill's here? How?"
The attendant rolled her eyes. "You saw it, didn't ya? So, you gotta pay for what you saw. Or, do you have a problem with that?" She raised her brows and a burly man was suddenly behind Alfred.
He turned back again and this time, he fell on his butt when he saw the man who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
"You're a man! Man up to your actions. You shouldn't have looked if you wouldn't pay."
"But, I didn't ask to look, she shoved them in my face!" He exclaimed, flailing his arms about, trying to defend himself.
A death glare and he gulped. "I'll pay…" he agreed in utter defeat.
"Nice doing business with you.." the big breasted lady said, smirking annoyingly with a wink. "The name's Deola. Remember it."
"I will.." he turned tails, not even taking a second to look back. Who knew what he would be charged for if he looked back.
"You told him your real name?"
Deola turned to the burly man who was called Mailk.
"He has something. I can feel it. Plus, he didn't actually look."
They both turned to the boy who was walking too fast to be considered normal and chuckled.
"Bunch of crazy people. They took my money!"
He grumbled as he walked towards the bus stop so he could go home.
[Hide!]
[Danger!]
[Enemy approaching]
[Host is not strong enough to defeat opponent]
[Warning!!]
"Eh? What's going on?"
The notifications kept popping up and while he considered the actions of the same weird, he couldn't shake off the hairs that stood up. Someone or something was giving off an aura that scared him.
But, just as soon as it came, it went, totally vanished. Like the feeling or dread he had just experienced was a mere figment of his imaginations.
"All these weird things keep happening. I'd better complete the task, who knows what's causing all this."
He took a deep breath and began the five kilometer sprint to his house.
