Hello readers! This chapter is dedicated to the explanation of some vocabulary I use around Zaohua. As such, there will be minor spoilers ahead.
Cosmic Energy: Abundant energy particles existing in the space and atmosphere of most planets. The particles behave much like light particles and emit wavelength, each particle having a unique wavelength. The particles can be absorbed by living and non-living things to generate more energy. Some non-living things are the best vessel for Cosmic Energy absorption, making them prized possessions.
Aetherstone: A crystal abundant in Zaohua, best vessel for Cosmic Energy absorption in the cosmos. For this quality, aetherstones are prized crystals with multiple uses. In Zaohua, most appliances, vehicles, technology elements, and heating elements are all made from aetherstones. Legally, all aetherstones are under Zaohua's Emperor.
Currency: Starpetals are the main currency in Zaohua. Cosmic Rubies are its smaller unit, and Ethercoins are the smallest unit. 1 Starpetal = 10 Cosmic Rubies = 100 Ethercoins.
Crimson Aegis: A life-sustaining core possessed by the females of an unknown destroyed planet. The core is usually present in the chest cavity, right beside the heart. If the heart of such woman is taken out, she will survive, building another heart with the core's energy. But if the core is taken out, she will crumble into dust. The core has many unexplored powers, and some claim it might even turn one into a God. Currently, only 2 people have the core in Zaohua.
Spiritual Enlightenment: To achieve a sustainable state with one's body, mind, or soul is to reach Spiritual Enlightenment. According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, one must feel complete, and that can only be done through attaining partial or complete enlightenment. Another term to explain Spiritual Enlightenment is "Transcendence", which is an act of transcending mortal bounds.
The Truth: Unknown by most, the truth is the reality of the universe, the reason the cosmos exist, and the meaning of life. It is said that once one knows truth, they separate themselves from mortal bounds and reach a space and time invisible to normal people. What happens in this space is unknown, and the only people who can realize the truth are Godfathers. In the history of mankind, only one Godfather is documented.
Warping: Warping is the ability to "warp" or "jump" through space and time, usually faster than the speed of light. This ability was first coined to mimic the first Godfather's movements. Grade 4 cultivators may have some success warping through smaller distances. Elites have full control over warping.
The Other Side: Separated by the physical border, the Other Side is a neighboring country of Zaohua. The country's actual name is Nanchun State, but Zaohua doesn't recognize its existence and calls it the Other Side. The Other Side is ruled by Qin Bao, a man no one has ever seen. A strange lady in a veil represents him, and goes by the name "Veiled Lady".
