Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 A Tense Encounter

In a place beyond the reach of Revan's sight and senses, an eerie silence lingered. Thick white mist enveloped the space, limiting vision to just a few meters. In the midst of the mist stood Liora Caelum, wearing her shimmering white gown that glowed faintly, as if filled with crystal-like light. In front of her, two mysterious figures stood. Their forms were veiled in smoke, leaving only shadows. Both had long hair and horns. One was a tall, imposing male figure with large horns curved backward, while the other was a woman with a graceful figure and large horns resembling branching tree limbs. Their presence exerted immense pressure, like two mountains on the verge of collapsing at any moment.

"I believe the man foretold has arrived in this world," Liora said, gazing at the two figures. "What now?"

"Are you sure it's him? You didn't mistake him, did you?" asked the female figure in a soft, graceful voice, seeking confirmation.

Liora took a deep breath before replying, "I'm certain. The energy and aura he emits are just like that tree."

"Hmmm," murmured the male figure, stroking his chin, contemplating. "In that case, it seems our time is running out." His voice was deep, firm, and authoritative.

"True," both Liora and the female figure responded almost simultaneously, with a resigned tone.

After saying this, the atmosphere fell silent and awkward for a few seconds, until...

Clap!

A single clap from Liora broke the silence. "Alright, alright, let's forget about that for now, shall we?" Liora said cheerfully, her face lighting up with a beautiful smile as she looked at the two figures.

"Hahahahaha!" The male figure's deep laughter echoed, shaking the entire room. "You're right, Liora. Apologies for showing our embarrassing side earlier."

"Fufufufu, indeed. But now I'm curious about this man," the female figure replied.

"I'm curious too," the male figure added, smiling faintly.

Hearing this, Liora's smile widened. "Perfect! He said he wants to meet me today. I'm sure he's looking for me right now."

"Good," both figures said in unison as they began to prepare themselves, as though they were about to face something important.

But Liora raised her hand, halting them. "Wait. Are you sure you want to meet him in these forms?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

They exchanged glances before the male figure spoke. "You're right. Let's change our forms," he suggested to the female figure beside him.

In an instant, black and white smoke enveloped their bodies. When the smoke cleared, their forms had completely transformed. The male figure had become a majestic black eagle, while the female figure turned into a large snow-white python, beautiful and mesmerizing.

"Now that you're ready, let's go," Liora said with enthusiasm as she stepped forward.

The thick mist slowly faded as they walked, crossing the space toward the place within Revan Kylo's reach.

"By the way," the snow-white python asked Liora, "What's the name of this man?"

Liora paused for a moment before answering, "I don't know, I forgot to ask yesterday."

The python sighed softly. "You..." it said, mocking her.

"Hahahaha," the eagle's laughter resonated, hearing their conversation.

"Don't tease me!" Liora said with an annoyed tone, though it still sounded cute.

Their conversation continued throughout their journey, adding warmth to the otherwise cold mist surrounding their path.

Meanwhile, atop a tall tree, Revan lay with his eyes closed. The tension in his heart remained unresolved as he thought about his upcoming meeting with Liora...

"Huuuu... stay calm. I must find where Liora is now." Revan rose from his position and sat cross-legged on the wooden floor. As his breath steadied, he focused all his senses, expanding his vision to every corner he could reach.

He began with the northern side, checking behind bushes, dark caves, and even small crevices that might serve as hiding spots. "Nothing." His voice was flat, though anxiety was beginning to creep into his heart. He shifted to another side. "Nothing here either," he muttered, his gaze continuing to move relentlessly. "There's nothing here, nothing over there... Where is Liora now?"

A sense of worry began to seep into his thoughts, clouding his mind. Revan jumped to his feet quickly, now using all his senses—hearing, sight, smell—everything. But still, no result.

"Damn! Where is Liora?" he thought, grinding his teeth. Panic began to rise in his heart. Could it be... Liora was just a figment of my imagination? The whisper of doubt echoed in his mind, adding to the weight in his thoughts. Has she always just been a fantasy, a woman who added a little color to my otherwise dark life?

However, he quickly dismissed the doubt. "No," he said firmly, though it was only to himself. "She's real. Liora is out there. This island is too vast, and my senses are limited."

Revan took a deep breath, trying to calm the rapid beating of his heart. He refocused his mind, channeling all his strength toward one purpose. Slowly, his senses began to respond. A faint vibration emerged in his thoughts, like a radar detecting a presence in the distance.

And finally, like light breaking through thick fog, Revan found her. Liora. She was at the very edge of his sensory range, farther than he had expected.

But that wasn't the only surprise. Alongside Liora were two other beings: a majestic black eagle flying low in front of her face, and a snow-white python coiled around her shoulder. Revan's heart raced. "She's in danger!"

Without hesitation, Revan leaped from the top of the tree with all his strength. The calm wind around him turned wild, swirling around his body. As he landed, a gust of wind formed beneath him, launching him into the air with incredible speed.

A thunderous roar echoed, like a storm rumbling in the sky. The wind drawn by his movements created shockwaves that deafened the ears. The trees along his path swayed violently, leaves flying, some branches even snapping.

Revan continued to soar, each step he took in the air causing the surrounding air to tremble. The air shimmered, like a heat illusion, while the friction with the atmosphere left behind a faint trail of light.

The faster he moved, the greater the energy his body released. Small flashes of light seemed to radiate from his body, adding to the illusion that he was a living lightning bolt. The heat generated was so intense that it scorched the dry leaves in his path.

"Liora... Wait for me!" he shouted in his mind, while the distance of hundreds of kilometers shrank in mere seconds. The roaring winds and thunder he left behind resembled small explosions every time he changed direction. In just two minutes, he was nearly at the spot where Liora was, the anxiety gnawing at him throughout the journey.

"She has to be okay."

A few minutes earlier, Liora, accompanied by a black eagle and a white python, walked slowly through the fog-covered forest. They moved in silence for a moment, the only sound being the crunch of dry leaves underfoot and the whispering wind that pierced their ears.

"So... who will you introduce yourselves as later?" Liora asked, breaking the silence. Her voice was soft, but the curiosity in her tone was clear.

The white python, slithering beside her, answered first, its voice calm yet full of authority. "We will only introduce our nicknames," it said, glancing toward the black eagle flying above, as if representing its partner as well.

It continued, this time with a softer tone, almost like a whisper. "Liora, may I climb onto your shoulder?"

Liora smiled faintly and nodded without hesitation. "Of course," she replied briefly.

The python began to coil gently around Liora's leg, moving slowly but with control. It carefully wrapped itself around her shoulder as if the spot had been reserved for it from the beginning.

Up above, the black eagle, which had been soaring high in the sky, began to dive lower, flying parallel to Liora. Its large wings beat gracefully, creating a soft breeze that ruffled Liora's hair.

"Liora, what do you think of that man?" the black eagle suddenly asked, its voice full of curiosity.

"Hmm..." Liora closed her eyes for a moment, pretending to think hard. She placed the tips of her fingers on her head, making a funny expression that contrasted with the surrounding atmosphere.

"He's quite handsome," Liora finally said, chuckling lightly. "His physique is also impressive." But she continued with a teasing tone, "But he's... a little foolish."

The black eagle chuckled softly, while the white python let out a long sigh. "Foolish, huh?" the eagle murmured, sounding amused.

Their conversation continued casually, interrupted only by light teasing and chatter. Unknowingly, they had passed through the foggy area that characterized the forest. Now, they were approaching an open space without fog, revealing a beautiful view of the forest, just at the edge of Revan's senses, who was searching for Liora's whereabouts.

Liora, the black eagle, and the white python stopped for a moment, sensing an unusual change in the air. Without warning, the wind began to pick up, and a loud whistling sound grew louder as it approached rapidly.

The white python, coiled around Liora's shoulder, felt a vibration within its body. Though unafraid, it raised its head. "Something is coming," it said in a low, sharp voice, as though sensing an approaching threat.

The black eagle, still flying low, also sensed the change. Calmly, flapping its wings gracefully, and stared towards the source of the sound that was getting closer. "It seems there's someone very fast," it said calmly, as though already assessing the situation.

Liora looked toward the sound, her expression serious. "That fool..." she murmured to herself, feeling the tension rise within her.

But as Revan's figure hurtled toward them, the wind generated by his speed shook the trees and leaves around them, creating a brief chaos. Even so, the black eagle and the white python were unaffected by the force.

"He comes with incredible speed," the black eagle said, watching Revan's figure approach.

After a moment, Revan finally stood before Liora, the black eagle, and the white python. With firm steps, he halted a few paces away from them, the wind accompanying his body slowly subsiding. His figure was striking—handsome face, jet-black hair, and piercing green-blue eyes. The medieval-style attire he wore, seemed to emphasize the authority and power he possessed. His posture was upright, creating an air of mystery and dignity.

The white python, coiled on Liora's shoulder, stared at him without fear, while the black eagle flying low also assessed Revan carefully. Liora, though uneasy inside, stood tall, her eyes meeting Revan's gaze, which was full of meaning. Silence hung in the air, filling the space between them.

After several long seconds, Revan finally spoke, his voice deep and commanding. "Liora... are you alright?" he asked, exuding a lethal aura. His face remained expressionless, but there was an underlying threat, trying to dominate the atmosphere around them.
