Chapter 91 - Traps On Lodestar

The Straw Hats wandered deeper into Lodestar Island, taking in its mysterious beauty. The towering cliffs that bordered parts of the island offered a breathtaking view of the seemingly endless sea, but also presented a danger.

Kikidori was in his usual carefree mode, holding Luffy Jr. in one arm while poking at random plants and rocks with a stick in his free hand. The baby gurgled happily, oblivious to the chaos around him.

"Careful, Kikidori," Ere'ana warned, staying close behind him. "You're holding our child, not some sack of flour."

"I've got this," Kikidori said confidently, stepping closer to the cliff's edge for a better look at the view.

The ground beneath him crumbled slightly, and his foot slipped. "Whoa—!" he yelped, tightening his grip on Luffy Jr. as he wobbled.

"Kikidori!" Ere'ana yelled, rushing forward.

The others turned in alarm as Kikidori stumbled back from the edge, barely avoiding a fall. "I almost dropped him!" he said, his face pale with shock.

Ere'ana snatched Luffy Jr. from Kikidori's arms and shot him a furious glare. "You're done holding him. From now on, he's staying with me!"

"Come on, that was just a fluke—"

"No arguments!" Ere'ana snapped, cradling Luffy Jr. protectively.

The crew continued their exploration, Kikidori sulking at the back of the group. "I said I was sorry," he mumbled.

Suddenly, Kikidori's foot pressed down on a stone that sank into the ground with a *click.*

He froze. "Uh... what was that?"

The crew all stopped, their eyes darting around warily. Slowly, their gazes shifted to something behind Kikidori.

"What's behind me?" Kikidori asked, his voice shaky.

Usopp gulped. "It's a... booby trap!"

Before Kikidori could react, an enormous axe swung down from the trees, heading straight toward him. The Straw Hats dove to the ground to avoid the trap.

Kikidori screamed, clinging to Robin like a terrified child. "Hold me, Mom!"

Robin, ever composed, simply crossed her arms. "I'd rather not."

With a calm flick of her Devil Fruit powers, she summoned hands that grabbed the axe mid-swing, halting it inches away from Kikidori's head.

The others got to their feet, shaking off the shock.

"You really stepped in it this time," Zoro muttered, brushing dirt off his shoulder.

"Literally," Sanji added, lighting a cigarette. "Watch where you're walking, Snakey-boy."

Kikidori let go of Robin, his face red. "I had it under control!"

Nami sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "This island is clearly full of traps. Everyone, be careful where you step!"

As they moved on, Kikidori kept glancing over his shoulder nervously, muttering to himself. Luffy, walking beside him, grinned. "That was funny, Kikidori! You screamed louder than Usopp!"

"I did not!" Kikidori shot back, puffing up his chest. "And for the record, I *totally* could've handled that axe!"

The crew laughed, their spirits lightened despite the dangers of Lodestar Island.
