Noelle hit the cold stone floor with a grunt, her wrists aching from the tight restraints the guards had fastened around her. The cell was damp, the air thick with the scent of mold and iron. The heavy door slammed shut behind her, the metallic clang echoing in the silence, sealing her fate.

She had lost her daughter.

Mikey and Bethany had stolen him right before her eyes.

A voice called out from the shadows of the cell. "Noelle?"
