Having finished everything, Adele was finally ready to reincarnate!
She only contemplated how to reincarnate – to become an orphan or to be born in a noble house? In fact, she already knew the answer deep down. Maybe it was her eternal name, but she felt that she is part of nobility and shouldn't be known to come from a lower standing.
It wasn't contempt towards lower people, no, it was the will of every noble to keep their reputation. Not only this, being a noble would be more conductive to her eternal name and she'd be able to have many benefits by being born into a high standing noble family.
In comparison, the only benefit of an orphan background would be that she'd have more freedom. But based on her being a witch, this freedom wasn't actually important. As a witch, she'd be staying in places more than moving around, a noble family is very fitting.
Then there is the question of keeping her identity safe. One thing is for sure – a major organisation only has in extreme rare cases two inheritors in a new world. Meaning, there was no other witch around, so she'd have no direct allies. As for enemies… the witches never lacked in this regard. There are too many for her to count, so she didn't attempt to do it.
She was sure that her identity couldn't be revealed. In this situation, being an orphan might sound easier, but at the same time, if she was an orphan and continuously advanced, then many suspicious eyes would fall upon her. Even if it wasn't suspicion, it would be greed. As for noble families, they have always focused on their own gain.
In one of the books that are supposed to help the witches gain a foundation in a new world, it was described that most local nobles will have their own agenda and won't act against witches for no reason, especially not when the witches give them benefit, or even better, are part of their camp. The only factions that would never accept their existence would be the various churches.
Once a few churches settled down, they would usually ally themselves with local nobles and might even connect with other churches that have different teachings. Afterward, they would attempt to gain supremacy over the faith of the common people and would never allow any other organisation to step into their territory.
Even if the organisation is a church with similar principles, they only view them as competitors. As for witches? They are viewed as heretics that worship devils, in truth witches aren't the main enemy, but they indeed have connections to hell, and any faction that has connections there are viewed by the churches to be heretics.
It is simply a war of faith, the so-called orthodox churches and the evil hell. As for which side is good and which is bad, that isn't important to the extraordinary people, much rather the spiritual world. Although hell practice the way of sacrifices, many of these sacrifices will eventually become a citizen of hell, and even if that isn't the case, their sea of consciousness would just reincarnate or be swallowed by the spiritual world.
In essence, there is no difference for the spiritual world, so there were never laws against any of the faction. Witches have a connection to hell because they are simply a great supplier for summons. They care about benefit and as long as the orthodox churches don't intend to win them over, they will use the great open 'trade'-channel of hell.
Regardless, Adele knew that although churches reacted that way, nobles didn't care so much. How many of those traded in secret with hell themselves? Nobles are greedy people that take the open hand of the church and the hidden hand of hell. They themselves often don't rely on the power of faith, so they don't care much regardless.
Thinking of this, Adele had her answer already. She was sure that as long as the world outside wasn't too biased towards the churches, she'd be able to influence any noble family she was born into as long as she became an influential person in the family.
Although nobles might seem greedy and dirty, that is only to the outside world. When it comes to their own family members, nobles are extremely protective. It might not be the best situation every time, but it ensures the lineage and the benefits of everyone in the family.
Having decided upon her next steps, Adele finally took another last look around the necklace. She had only visited the garden and the library, but she knew there was more. Although that is the case, she felt that the other things weren't necessary for now. Even if she knew of them, it wouldn't help much, so she decisively went to where she entered.
Although she could leave from wherever, it felt more correct to leave where she entered. As she looked at the place, a relaxed sigh of relief left her. She was so excited the whole time that she had unconsciously built up so stress in her soul. It was the passing of all the lifetimes that she finally felt like she had truly let go of the past.
Like a past that caught up with her, she is no longer so unwilling compared to when she first saw the situation. She remembered when the first people started falling down, her thought the whole time was 'Why- I have just started succeeding in life!'.
Now, she felt that this life might be much more exciting than before. After all… she was a huge fan of magic and books about them! Although it is an exaggeration to say that she knew deep lore, at least these books what got her through the difficult times. Now, she finally experienced it herself. The fantasy that she always wished to be in, suddenly came to her.
Although she felt that this fantasy wasn't as dream-like as those books, at least it seemed that this new world would be incredibly enjoyable. If you don't enjoy the risks, can you truly take them with a heartfelt smile? Maybe it's because she knew that she had several lives even after reincarnating… but she didn't feel the fear of death as much as others might.
