It was still early, but for some reason, all the students in the junior class were already exhausted. Lady Emilia tried to lower the temperature in the room to drain Gwen's mana, but it was in vain. She felt she couldn't touch Gwen's mana at all, as if her new student's mana was endless.
She had also asked two of her students who had earth magic to create stone pillars that could serve as steps to carry them all down. Unfortunately, her two students still couldn't create a sturdy stone pillar, and it immediately shattered as soon as it was hit by Gwen's magic. As a result, they had to wait a full half hour until the effect of Gwen's telekinesis magic wore off before they could go down.
Gwen's magic was so incredible that it even reached terrifying levels, but...
"Gwen, darling, from now on, you are prohibited from using magic. I will ask the school dean to help with your situation."
Gwen had expected this. Even her master, a fairy from the Upper Realm, couldn't help her, let alone ordinary humans who lived on one of the planes under the protection of the God Realm. She didn't expect much regarding her condition.
"Teacher Emilia, I can't control my telekinesis magic well, but I can control another attribute expertly."
"Oh? Do you have another magical attribute?"
"I master the four elements of magic."
Four attributes!? A mage who had two types of magic attributes was extremely rare, but Gwen had four magic attributes, excluding telekinesis?! Is this freak not-so-good-looking girl even human? Why did Lady Emilia feel like she was dealing with a monster?
"Four elements attributes? Can you show me?"
"En." Gwen raised her index finger, and fire appeared. Then the crushed earth pebbles created by her friends floated above her second finger. Her third finger was raised, and everyone could see the electric current there, indicating she had lightning magic.
Gwen stood up and closed her eyes to concentrate. Sweat began to drip from her forehead, showing how difficult it was to use this elemental magic. Not long after, Gwen's entire body was coated with sparkling gold, forming an unbreakable armor.
"Gold!? You have the strongest offensive and defensive magic in this world?" Fire and lightning have strong synchronization that creates unmatched power. Meanwhile, earth and gold are types of defensive magic whose strength cannot be doubted. "Dear Gwen… have you measured your strength level?"
"En. I am a second-level wizard."
"Eh? With those four magic elements and such good control… how could you still be at the second level? You should be a fifth-level wizard!" Lady Emilia's remark made the students in her class even more confused and shocked.
"Perhaps... it's because I measured my telekinesis magic when I enrolled in this school," was her straightforward answer, leaving everyone but one person stunned. The only one laughing hard, to the point that her jaw hurt, was none other than Sofia.
"Then why don't you measure your elemental magic? With control like that, I'm sure you'll become a fifth or sixth-level wizard. That way, you wouldn't need to go to school and could become the youngest Hunter in the whole world."
The condition for graduation from this school was to become a fifth-level Hunter and receive a title and position when becoming a sixth-level Hunter before the age of twenty-one.
"I don't want to be a Hunter. I want to make a hundred friends in two months! That's why I'm here."
Lady Emilia face-palmed at Gwen's ridiculous answer. It seemed like Gwen was the only person with no ambition to be a Hunter and would rather make a hundred friends at school than a hundred fellow Hunters.
'School dean, why did you accept this strange girl? I can't handle her!' Obviously, Lady Emilia was the only one who could hear her heart's complaints right now.
After what seemed like an eternity, the school bell rang for a lunch break. Lady Emilia still wore her typical motherly smile, even though she felt exhausted and wanted to rest. She felt sympathy for Sofia, having to cater to her new student's idiosyncrasies. But seeing that Sofia was enjoying her time, she let the girl be. Besides, someone needed to take the new student on a tour of the academy.
"You promised to show me around the school!"
"Of course. Come on! I'll take you to the school cafeteria." Sofia couldn't wait to eat the low-level monster meat soup that was only sold in the school cafeteria. Even though it was made from a low-level monster, its crispy flesh could increase her mana and agility. This soup was a favorite dish among school students, and she planned to introduce it to her new classmate.
At least that's what Sofia thought when she took Gwen out of the classroom. After getting to know Gwen, she realized that not all the exciting plans she had in mind could work. The reason was that the freak girl would stop and greet all the girls they passed, asking for the same thing—to be her friend.
The distance that should have only taken five minutes now took half an hour, thanks to Gwen, who stopped every two steps. At this rate, the two of them would be hungry by the time they got home from school.
"Hi, my name is Gwen. Would you..." Gwen couldn't finish her sentence because Sofia pulled her forcefully. "I haven't stopped talking."
"It's enough. I don't want to starve to death, and I'm sure you don't either."
"We won't starve to death if we skip lunch."
"If you reject me, I won't accompany you around the school anymore."
Gwen didn't argue and let Sofia lead her to the school cafeteria calmly. She even sat quietly like an obedient child when Sofia told her to wait there. Five minutes later, Sofia brought a tray with two bowls of meat soup and sparkling eyes.
"Finally, I got Honeydew Hummingbird meat soup. Did you know it's demanding to catch this bird? Even though it's only a low-level monster, it has extraordinary agility."
"Oh." Gwen seemed uninterested in this absolutely ordinary meat soup. Her master often cooked her meat soups from high-level to divine-level monsters and even hunted celestial beasts that only existed on other planes to improve her physical body so that it could accommodate the power of the four great magic elements. Not surprisingly, this trivial meat soup did not appeal to her taste.
"Pu-ah!! So yummy!!"
Gwen didn't know what to say seeing that Sofia had finished her soup in the blink of an eye. She hadn't even noticed her first new friend devouring her soup.
"Eh? Why don't you eat it? You don't like it?"
Gwen could even see drool coming out of the corner of Sofia's mouth. She handed the girl her soup bowl. "You can have it."
"Can I? You're a good person!!"
Gwen raised an eyebrow in wonder. Will Sofia think everyone who gives her food is a good person? What a strange girl.
Sophia: You're the weird one!
