Chapter 16 - Arrival

Dawn's eyes snapped open, and he was immediately aware that he had returned to consciousness after being in a trance-like state. As he took in his surroundings, he was shocked to find himself in a dilapidated hut. The walls were cracked, and the thatched roof was worn and torn, allowing slivers of moonlight to peek through. The air was musty and filled with the scent of decay.

His instincts kicked in, and he quickly scanned his environment for any signs of danger. He looked around the small, cramped space, taking in the sparse furnishings. There was a small, rickety table in the centre, with a single, candle which seems to have been blackened by dust and age. A pile of tattered blankets lay in the opposite direction of the lable, and a small, rusty kettle hung from a hook on the wall.

After a few tense moments, Dawn determined that he was alone and began to relax. He took a deep breath, feeling the cool, damp air fill his lungs. As he exhaled, he noticed that his breath was visible, and he realized that the hut was cold and damp.

However, his relief was short-lived, as he soon realized that he was completely naked.

"The hell." Dawn cursed as he frantically searched for something to cover himself, but the hut was bare and devoid of any clothing or fabric. He looked around, feeling a growing sense of unease and vulnerability.

Before he could find anything, a whispery voice echoed in his mind. The same genderless voice as the one as the one which spoke to him in the realm between realm, " the voice of the soul dairy." It was indeed the voice of the soul dairy, the voice sent shivers down Dawn's spine.

"Soul integrity at 0.003," the voice announced, its tone detached and clinical. "Soul affinity: celestial. Awakening celestial rank quirk: Black Flame of Impermanence.

Dawn's eyes narrowed as he listened to the voice. He had read about soul integrity and soul star ranks in the library, and he knew that a soul integrity of 0.003 was never mentioned. The highest ever mentioned was of 0.010, and the man was the founder of the first clan- the Ambrose clan.

"Does that mean that I even have a higher soul integrity than the Ambrose clan founder." Dawn thought in glee as he thought of the attention he would have when he got back to the school.

Then he drew his attention back to his soul integrity. Soul integrity is the result gotten from the evaluation of the soul Diary in numerical value, the soul dairy evaluate the chances of the soul ascending to Godhood, the lower the rating the higher the chances and the higher the rating the lower the chances.

He knew that soul affinity is also the result gotten from soul integrity and his related to the potential of his quirk.

He also knew that a soul affinity of celestial was extremely rare, judging from it's absence in the library,

and it meant that he had the potential to wield immense power. But what did it mean to awaken a celestial affinity.

As the voice finished speaking, Dawn felt a strange energy coursing through his body. It was as if his cells were being rewritten, his DNA reshuffled. He began to interact with the Aether which was in his soul, and his body started to undergo a transformation.

Due to his previous evolution, which had focused on enhancing his brain and eyes, Dawn's body instinctively prioritized further improving his cognitive abilities and vision. His neurons fired faster, his synapses strengthened, and his eyes became even more acute.

As a result, Dawn's senses became even more acute. He could hear the faintest sounds, see the smallest details, and feel the subtlest changes in the air. He was aware of every molecule, every atom, and every subatomic particle around him.

He felt his strength and agility increasing, his muscles growing more powerful and flexible. His bones densified, his tendons strengthened, and his ligaments became more resilient. He was aware of every fiber, every cell, and every molecule in his body.

Dawn realized that he had become more flexible and nimble, his overall physical abilities heightened. He felt a sense of wonder and awe at the transformation taking place within him.

And he could now feel the cold air clearer causing him to shiver as he looked around for something to cover himself as he looked around the hut, he noticed that everything seemed different. The colors were more vibrant, the textures more defined, and the shapes more distinct. He could see the intricate patterns on the walls, the delicate threads in the blankets, and the tiny imperfections in the candle's half melted form.

Dawn looked towards the blanket in the room then sighed as he thought of ways to warp it around his body, taking a step forward he stumbled forward and crashed into the table in the center of the room, then stumbled together with the table to the matrass on the floor.

He pushed the half broken table away as he cleared his slightly dizzy head. "My strength increased again, this is going to be hard." Sighing he took the blanket only to see a dust ridden cloth underneath the blanket, he quickly took the clothes and wore them, then a young man of about 14-15 years stood in an empty room wearing a faded trousers reaching just below his knees and a similar faded white shirt, with a brown hat over his black hair. Dawn checked out his outfit as he relaxed, although it was not comfortable at least it saved him from the cold.

" Time to leave here."

Dawn walked towards the door holding a rake he saw behind a small room he considered a kitchen then opened the door with a click. "Huh." Dawn flinched back as he came face to face with discolation, every where he turned all he saw was discolation so thick it seems to have a physical form as it hanged around houses, houses similar to the one he was in were all around as he turned, worn down by the passage of time, talkless on a person he couldn't even hear a single sound.

" what happened here."
