Types of Magic and Mages

The Essence of Magic

Magic was the lifeblood of civilization, harnessed by those born with mana flowing through their veins. This mystical energy allowed individuals to manipulate elements, shape reality, and perform feats beyond ordinary means. However, magic was not unlimited. Each person had a unique mana capacity, which determined their potential and the number of magic types they could wield.

The Mage Classification System

Magicians were categorized based on the number of magic types they could control. This system ensured a clear distinction between different levels of mastery:

Primary Mage: Could wield one type of magic.

Intermediate Mage: Could wield two types of magic.

Advanced Mage: Could wield three types of magic.

Supreme Mage (Exception): Extremely rare individuals who could wield four magic types.

A mage's rank was not just determined by the number of magic types they could use but also by their mana capacity, proficiency, and combat experience.

The Three Tiers of Magic

Magic itself was divided into three tiers based on mana consumption and complexity:

1) Primary Magics (Least Mana Consumption)

These were the most accessible forms of magic, serving as the foundation for all magical disciplines. They required minimal mana but could still be devastating in skilled hands.

Fire Magic – The power to summon flames and control heat.

Water Magic – Manipulation of water in all its forms.

Ice Magic – The ability to freeze moisture and craft ice-based attacks.

Lightning Magic – Harnessing electricity to strike with precision.

Wind Magic – Control over air currents and aerial movement.

Light Magic – The ability to generate and manipulate pure light.

Earth Magic – Commanding the terrain, from soil to stone.

Plant Magic – Growth acceleration and control over vegetation.

2) Intermediate Magics (Moderate Mana Consumption)

More advanced than primary magics, these required a greater understanding of mana control.

Poison Magic – Creating and manipulating toxins and venom.

Explosion Magic – Generating controlled detonations for offense.

Stone Magic – A more refined form of Earth Magic, focusing on solid minerals.

Healing Magic – The power to mend wounds and restore vitality.

Dark Magic – Utilizing shadow and curses to weaken enemies.

Hypnosis Magic – Influencing the minds of others through suggestion.

Shape-shifting Magic – The ability to alter one's own form.

3) Advanced Magics (Highest Mana Consumption)

These were the pinnacle of magical mastery, requiring immense mana reserves and concentration.

Teleportation Magic – Instantaneous movement across distances.

Time Magic – Manipulating the flow of time in limited ways.

Space Magic – Bending space to create distortions and portals.

Gravity Magic – Controlling gravitational forces to increase or decrease weight.

Summoning Magic – Bringing forth creatures or objects from another realm.

The Limitations of Magic

Despite the vast array of magic types, no human could wield them all. A person's magical affinity was determined at the Welcoming Ceremony, where their attributes were revealed upon enrolling in a magic school at age 16. From there, their growth depended on talent, training, and natural mana capacity.
