Chapter 48 - Sunspear

The sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow over the red mountains and sandy dunes of Dorne. The air was dry and hot, carrying the faint scent of salt from the nearby Summer Sea. The people of Sunspear went about their daily lives, unaware of the shadow that was about to fall over their city.

High above, Ancalagon soared through the clouds, his massive wings cutting through the air with a sound like thunder. Atop his back, Alex and Daenerys sat side by side, their eyes fixed on the horizon. The spires of Sunspear came into view, rising like spears from the desert. The castle of the Martells stood proudly, its pale stone walls gleaming in the sunlight.

Ancalagon began his descent, his enormous form casting a shadow over the city. The people of Sunspear looked up, their eyes widening in shock and fear. Children pointed and screamed, while mothers clutched their babies tightly. Merchants abandoned their stalls, and soldiers dropped their weapons, their faces pale with terror.

"By the gods... what is that?" one soldier muttered, his voice trembling as he stared at the sky.

"Sound the alarm!" another shouted, his voice cracking with panic. "A dragon! A dragon is here!"

"TON..TON..TON..TON....."

The bells of Sunspear began to ring, their loud clanging echoing through the streets. Soldiers scrambled to their posts, their hands shaking as they gripped their spears. The city was in chaos, the once-peaceful streets now filled with the sounds of shouting and running feet.

Inside the palace, Prince Doran Martell sat in his solar, his brow furrowed as he listened to the reports from his advisors. His brother, Prince Oberyn, leaned against the wall, his arms crossed and a smirk playing on his lips.

"My prince!" a guard burst into the room, his face pale and his breath ragged. "You must come quickly! There's... there's a dragon outside!"

Doran's eyes widened, and he rose from his chair, his hands gripping the arms for support. "A dragon? Are you certain?"

"Yes, my prince! It's enormous! It's flying over the city!"

Oberyn pushed off the wall, his smirk replaced by a look of curiosity. "A dragon, you say? This should be interesting."

Because the last time they saw the dragon was never, just heard the that the last of the dragons died more than a century ago.

The two brothers hurried out of the palace, their guards following close behind. As they stepped into the courtyard, they looked up and saw Ancalagon circling above, his massive form blotting out the sun. The dragon's scales shimmered like molten Black gold, and his eyes glowed with an otherworldly light.

The people of Sunspear watched in stunned silence, their fear giving way to awe. Ancalagon let out a deafening roar, the sound shaking the very ground beneath their feet. The air seemed to vibrate with the power of his voice, and many fell to their knees, covering their ears.

Then, to everyone's shock, the dragon spoke.

**"People of Dorne"**

Ancalagon's voice was deep and resonant, a mixture of a roar and a commanding tone that carried across the city. **"Send your king or lord to the gates outside the city. We seek an audience."**

The crowd gasped, their eyes wide with disbelief. A talking dragon? Such a thing was unheard of, even in the tales of old. The soldiers exchanged nervous glances, their hands tightening on their weapons.

Doran and Oberyn exchanged a look, their expressions a mixture of shock and intrigue. "Did that dragon just... speak?" Oberyn asked, his voice tinged with amusement.

"It would seem so," Doran replied, his voice calm but his mind racing. "We must go to the gates. It would be unwise to keep a dragon waiting."

They didn't know that there was someone riding on the back of that dragon, so to not offend the dragon they made their way towards the city gates.

As the princes made their way to the city gates, the people of Sunspear watched in stunned silence. Ancalagon landed outside the walls, his massive form shaking the ground as he touched down. Alex and Daenerys dismounted, their faces calm and composed as they waited for the Martells to arrive.

The gates creaked open, and Doran and Oberyn stepped out, their guards following at a respectful distance. The two princes approached cautiously, their eyes fixed on the dragon and the two figures standing before him.

"Prince Doran Martell," Daenerys said, her voice carrying the authority of a queen. "We have come to discuss the future of Dorne."

Doran inclined his head, his expression unreadable. "May we ask, who is seeking an audience with us?"

As Alex Looked at Daenerys and than Ancalagon curious to what should he say, but next second he didn't get a chance to say anything as Ancalagon spoke with his heavy and deep voice as he released some smoke from his nostrils:

"You are standing in the Presence of Rulers of the strongest Empire you have ever seen, King Alexander and Queen Daenerys Targaryen, Breaker of chains, Mother and Father of Dragons, The great pioneers of the next era and The rulers of The Imperium".

As they heard who the other party was, they were shocked because no one expected a Targaryen girl to become a queen after what had happened to the Mad King.

Alex stepped forward, his eyes meeting Doran's. "We seek an alliance, Prince Doran. The Lannisters have held the Iron Throne for too long, and it is time for a change. With your help, we can bring justice to Westeros, but under the Condition of Bending the knee to us."

Oberyn's lips curled into a smirk. "Justice, you say? And what does Dorne gain from this alliance?"

Daenerys's eyes flashed with determination. "Freedom. The freedom to rule your lands, without the interference of the Iron Throne. And the satisfaction of knowing that those who wronged your family will pay for their crimes." Said Dani but Alex interrupted and said:

"We can help you get your revenge on Lannisters, if you bend the knee or we can destroy you and than king's landing. The choice is yours to say in the simple words".

Doran studied them for a moment, his mind weighing the risks and rewards. Finally, he nodded. "Very well. Let us discuss this before we can give you any answers. But know this: Dorne does not bow easily to anyone, but if you can help us That opens the door for something."

Deep inside both Doran and Oberyn were shocked with the words of Dragons, they have never even heard of a talking dragon, who can think and act more than humans and The words of the Targaryen girl who is now a queen of the kingdom that they never heard before. To show that they were not scared of them they had to act with a bit of arrogance.

"We will be back in a few months, that should be enough time for you to discuss and think about our offer with your circle." Said Alex as he and Daenerys turned around and made their way towards the back of Ancalagon without giving any more time to Prince and his brother, as Ancalagon Bowed down to earth for his parents to climb over his back and looked Prince straight in the eyes.

Ancalagon let out a low rumble, his eyes narrowing as he regarded the princes. **"Choose wisely, arrogant human. We have conquered the lands that stood tall for hundreds of years, we destroyed those who stood in our way. The fate of Dorne rests in your hands."**
