Chapter 6 - First battle in Another world

Chapter 6

Temujin's eyes locked onto the invaders, his heart pounding in his chest. He could feel the energy of the storm coursing through his veins, begging to be unleashed. He raised his hands, and to his amazement, a small bow and quiver of arrows materialized in his grasp. But these were no ordinary bow and arrows - they were made of pure lightning, crackling with electricity.

Liz's eyes widened in awe as she stared at the bow. "Temujin, how are you...?" she trailed off, her voice lost in the din of battle.

Temujin didn't answer, his focus solely on the attackers. He notched an arrow in the bow, feeling the energy of the storm surge through him. As he drew back the string, a bolt of lightning illuminated the darkening sky, and the air was filled with the acrid smell of ozone.

The monsters paused, their eyes fixed on Temujin and the bow of lightning. For a moment, the battle seemed to freeze, the only sound the crackling of the lightning and the heavy breathing of the combatants.

Then, in a flash of movement, Temujin released the arrow. It shot forth like a bolt of lightning, striking one of the attackers with incredible force. The attacker crumpled to the ground, its body smoking from the impact, with a hole on his chest.

The other attackers hesitated, their eyes fixed on Temujin and the bow of lightning. Liz took advantage of the distraction, striking down another attacker with her staff. The battle was far from over, but Temujin felt a surge of confidence. He had awakened the Magia of the Storm, and nothing would ever be the same again.

With a fierce cry, Temujin charged forward, his bow of lightning at the ready. The storm raged on, its energy coursing through him like lifeblood. He was no longer just a young man fighting for his town - he was a force of nature, unstoppable and unyielding.

Temujin and Liz fought their way through the town, their movements swift and deadly. The storm raged on, its energy fueling Temujin's magic. He wielded the bow of lightning with precision, striking down any attacker who dared to get too close.

"What are these things?" Temujin asked Liz.

Liz's eyes darted back and forth, her brow furrowed in concern. "I...I don't know," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. Temujin's gaze flicked to her, his eyes narrowing slightly as he waited for guidance.

As they navigated the narrow streets, Temujin's thoughts turned to his mother. He had to make sure she was safe. He grabbed Liz's arm, pulling her towards the small cottage on the outskirts of town where Shea lived.

"We have to get to my mother," Temujin shouted above the din of battle.

Liz nodded, her eyes scanning the surrounding area for any signs of danger. "Let's go," she replied, her staff at the ready.

They sprinted towards the house, their footsteps pounding the earth. Temujin's heart was racing with fear, his mind filled with worst-case scenarios. What if his mother was hurt? What if the attackers had already found her?

As they approached the cottage, Temujin could see that it was still intact, its door closed and its windows unbroken. He felt a surge of hope, his heart pounding with excitement.

Liz pushed open the door, her staff poised for attack. Temujin followed close behind, his bow of lightning at the ready.

Inside, the cottage was quiet, the only sound the soft hum of a candle burning in the corner. Temujin's eyes scanned the room, his heart racing with anticipation.

And then, he saw her. Shea was sitting on the bed, her eyes wide with fear, but otherwise unharmed. Temujin felt a wave of relief wash over him, his shoulders sagging with exhaustion.

Liz smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "She's safe," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Temujin nodded, his eyes fixed on his mother. He felt a lump form in his throat, his emotions threatening to overwhelm him. He took a step forward, his arms open wide.

Shea's face lit up with a smile, her eyes shining with tears. "Temujin," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

Temujin felt a sense of relief wash over him as he wrapped his arms around his mother, holding her close.

As Temujin held his mother close, he could feel her trembling with fear. He stroked her hair, trying to calm her down. "It's okay, Mother," he whispered. "I'm here. I won't let anything happen to you."

Shea pulled back, her eyes searching Temujin's face. "What's going on, Temujin?" she asked, her voice shaking. "I heard the noise, and I was so scared. I thought...I thought something had happened to you."

Temujin smiled, trying to reassure her. "I'm fine, Mother. Liz and I were just...dealing with some attackers. But we're safe now. You're safe."

Shea's eyes widened as she took in the sight of Liz standing behind Temujin, her staff still poised for attack. "Attackers?" she repeated. "What do you mean?"

Temujin hesitated, unsure of how much to tell his mother. But before he could respond, Liz stepped forward. "We'll explain everything later, Shea," she said gently. "For now, let's just focus on getting you and Temujin to safety."

Shea nodded, still looking shaken. Temujin helped her to her feet, and Liz led the way out of the cottage. As they walked, Temujin could feel his mother's eyes on him, filled with questions and concern.

They made their way through the town, avoiding the areas where the fighting was still intense. Temujin could hear the sounds of clashing steel and the cries of the wounded, but he tried to focus on his mother's safety.

As they walked, Liz kept a watchful eye on their surroundings, her staff at the ready. Temujin could feel the energy of the storm still coursing through him, but he tried to keep it contained, not wanting to scare his mother further.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached the town square. It was filled with people, all of them armed and ready to defend their homes. Temujin's eyes scanned the crowd, searching for any sign of the attackers.

But as he looked around, he realized that something was off. The townspeople were all staring at him, their eyes filled with a mix of fear and awe. Temujin felt a shiver run down his spine as he realized that they were staring at him, not just as a young man, but as something more.

The Adventurers in the town were fighting for their lives, The town guards was doing their best to hold off the monsters, but it was clear they were outnumbered. Temujin's eyes scanned the chaos, his bow of lightning at the ready.

Liz stood beside him, her staff glowing with a soft red light. "We need to help them," she shouted above the din of battle.

Temujin nodded, his eyes locked onto a group of monsters attacking a family. He raised his bow, and a bolt of lightning shot forth, striking one of the monsters with incredible force. The family took advantage of the distraction to escape to safety.

As the battle raged on, a sudden roar echoed through the forest. The ground shook beneath their feet, and the trees trembled. The townspeople paused, their eyes fixed on the forest.

And then, a massive creature emerged from the trees. It was unlike anything Temujin had ever seen before - its body was a twisted mass of scales and flesh, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.

The creature was enormous, easily three times the size of any of the other monsters. Its roar was deafening, and the ground shook beneath its feet. The townspeople stumbled backward, their eyes wide with fear.

Liz's eyes locked onto the creature, her face pale. "What is that thing?" she whispered.

Temujin's eyes were fixed on the creature, his bow of lightning at the ready. He could feel the energy of the storm coursing through him, but he knew it might not be enough to take down this behemoth.

The creature took a step forward, its eyes fixed on the town. The townspeople cowered in fear, waiting for the inevitable. Temujin stood tall, his bow of lightning poised for attack. He knew he had to act fast, or risk losing everything he had sworn to protect.

The creature's eyes locked onto Temujin, and with a deafening roar, it charged forward. The ground shook beneath its feet as it barreled towards the young boy. Temujin stood his ground, his bow of lightning at the ready, but his eyes widened in fear as he realized the enormity of the situation.

Liz shouted a warning, but Temujin didn't need to be told. He could see the creature's massive body bearing down on him, its jaws open wide in a snarling snout. The creature's hot breath washed over Temujin, making his skin prickle with sweat.

Temujin raised his bow, and a bolt of lightning shot forth, striking the creature with incredible force. But the creature blocked it with his Huge shield, its momentum carrying it forward like a freight train. Temujin stumbled backward, his eyes fixed on the creature's massive body.

The creature's claws swiped at Temujin, barely missing his face. He ducked to the side, avoiding the blow by mere inches. But the creature was relentless, its attacks coming faster and faster. Temujin stumbled backward, his bow of lightning firing wildly as he tried to defend himself.

The creature's blows were like sledgehammers, crushing the earth and sending Temujin flying without directly hitting him. He landed hard on the ground, his breath knocked out of him. The creature loomed over him, its jaws open wide in a snarling snout.

Temujin's eyes went wide as the creature's hot breath washed over him. He tried to raise his bow, but his arm felt like lead. The creature's claws raised, ready to deliver the killing blow. Temujin's eyes locked onto the monster's eyes.

The creature's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, its gaze piercing Temujin's very soul. For a moment, the two locked eyes, the only sound the creature's heavy breathing.

Then, in a flash of movement, Liz appeared beside Temujin, her staff glowing with a fierce red light. She struck the creature with a powerful blow, but it barely seemed to notice. The creature's claws swiped at Liz, and she dodged to the side, avoiding the blow by mere inches.

Temujin took advantage of the distraction to scramble to his feet. He raised his bow, and a bolt of lightning shot forth, striking the creature with incredible force. But the creature was relentless, its attacks coming faster and faster.

Liz and Temujin fought in perfect sync, their movements a blur of lightning and staff strikes. But despite their best efforts, the creature seemed almost invulnerable. Its body was a twisted mass of scales and flesh, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.

As the battle raged on, the townspeople began to stir. They had been cowering in fear, but now they seemed to be regaining their courage. One by one, they stood up, their eyes fixed on the creature.

The town's blacksmith, a burly man with a thick beard, charged forward with a massive war hammer. He struck the creature with a powerful blow, but it barely seemed to notice. The creature's claws swiped at the blacksmith, and he stumbled backward, his eyes wide with fear.

Temujin's eyes locked onto the blacksmith, his heart racing with concern. He raised his bow, and a bolt of lightning shot forth, striking the creature with incredible force. The creature stumbled backward, its eyes flashing with anger.

For a moment, the battle seemed to pause. The creature's chest heaved with exertion, its eyes fixed on Temujin. The townspeople stood frozen, their eyes locked onto the creature.

And then, in a flash of movement, the creature charged forward. Its claws swiped at Temujin, and he dodged to the side, avoiding the blow by mere inches. Liz struck the creature with a powerful blow, but it barely seemed to notice.

The battle was far from over. The creature was relentless, its attacks coming faster and faster. Temujin and Liz fought in perfect sync, their movements a blur of lightning and staff strikes. But despite their best efforts, the creature seemed almost invulnerable.

Temujin's arms shook with exhaustion as he drew back the bow, his muscles burning with the effort. The creature towered over him, its massive body blocking out the light from the moon. He knew he couldn't keep this up much longer.

Just as the creature reared back to strike again, a blur of motion caught Temujin's eye. The town's adventurers and guards, having dispatched the other monsters, rushed to Temujin's aid.

A tall, burly man wielding a massive war axe charged forward, his weapon crashing against the creature's scales with a deafening roar. Another adventurer, a lithe woman with a bow, let loose a volley of arrows, each one finding its mark.

Temujin watched in awe as the combined force of the town's defenders assaulted the creature. Liz stood beside him, her staff glowing with a fierce red light as she chanted an incantation. Temujin felt a surge of energy flow through him, and he raised his bow once more.

The creature thrashed and roared, its massive body reeling from the onslaught. Temujin's lightning bolt struck true, searing the creature's flank. It howled in pain, its attention momentarily diverted from the townspeople.

Seeing an opening, the burly man with the war axe struck again, his weapon biting deep into the creature's flesh. Blood and ichor sprayed, and the creature staggered backward, its massive body trembling.

Temujin's breath came in ragged gasps, his arms shaking from the strain of maintaining the bow's draw. But he refused to falter, his eyes fixed on the creature with unwavering determination.

The adventurers and guards pressed their advantage, raining blows upon the creature from all sides. Temujin's lightning arrows crackled through the air, each one finding its mark and weakening the beast further.

As the adventurers and guards continued to press their attack, Temujin saw an opportunity to strike from a different angle. With a swift motion, he cancelled the conjuration of his bow, the lightning dissipating into thin air. In the same breath, he conjured a new weapon - a massive, curved sword that seemed almost comical in the hands of a 7-year-old.

The sword, however, was no laughing matter. Its blade gleamed with a fierce, battle-hungry light, and Temujin wielded it with a precision that belied his age. With a burst of speed, he darted towards the monster, his agility and nimble body allowing him to weave between the creature's slower attacks.

In a flash, Temujin struck at the monster's ankles, the blade slicing through the air with a deadly whisper. The creature howled in pain as its legs buckled, its massive body crashing to the ground as it dropped to its knees.

Emboldened by his success, Temujin leapt into the air, his sword poised for the killing blow. But the monster, seasoned in battle, was not so easily caught off guard. It raised its massive anti-magia shield, the same one that had blocked Temujin's lightning arrows earlier, to deflect the attack.

Temujin, however, was not to be underestimated. With a quick flick of his wrist, he adjusted his trajectory, using the shield as a stepping ground to change the angle of his attack. In a daring move, he landed on the shield, his feet barely touching the surface before he launched himself into a new attack.

Now behind the monster, Temujin brought his sword down in a deadly arc, the blade slicing through the creature's neck and down to its stomach. The cut was clean and precise, and blood began to drip from the wound, staining the battlefield.

With a final, agonizing scream, the creature collapsed to the ground, its body shuddering and twitching. The townspeople let out a collective cheer,

"Damn you, Monster Orc!!" their voices echoing through the streets.

Temujin felt a wave of relief wash over him, his shoulders sagging with exhaustion. He glanced over at Liz, who was smiling triumphantly, her eyes shining with pride.

The adventurers and guards gathered around Temujin, their faces etched with a mixture of awe and respect. Temujin felt a surge of pride, knowing that he had played a crucial role in the victory.

As the townspeople began to clear away the debris and tend to the wounded, Temujin caught sight of his mother, Shea. She stood at the edge of the crowd, her eyes filled with a mixture of fear and wonder. Temujin felt a pang of guilt, knowing that he had put her through so much.

He made his way over to her, his steps heavy with fatigue. "Mother," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Shea's eyes searched his face, and Temujin could see the worry etched in her features. "Temujin," she said, her voice trembling. "What... what was that?"

Temujin hesitated, unsure of how to explain the events that had just unfolded. But before he could respond, Liz stepped forward, her face grave.

"That was no ordinary creature, Shea," she said, her voice low and serious. "It was a powerful, monster, drawn to the magia that Temujin has awakened within himself."

Shea's eyes widened, and Temujin could see the fear in her gaze. "Magia?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Liz nodded, her expression solemn. "Yes, Shea. Temujin has been blessed, or perhaps cursed, with a great power. And it seems that there are forces in this world that would seek to exploit that power for their own ends."

Temujin felt a chill run down his spine as he listened to Liz's words. He had always known that his abilities were extraordinary, but he had never imagined the kind of danger they might bring.
