As Raiden was getting used to the golden window, it was replaced by an even bigger window.

With an eyebrow raised, Raiden looked at the message before him with curiosity and astonishment. According to the message, he was supposed to be the Hero. Was it some kind of joke?
There had been several legends of Heros in Pandora, every single legend described the feats of Hero's strength and valor. Even if he forgets about valor, he didnt have strength. He was just a mere Rank-7 warrior, how can he be the Hero?
In the blink of an eye, the message before him was replaced by another one.
________
To see the status of your quest, think of the word status to deploy the Light Harbinger System.
_______
Then the golden window vanished for good, leaving behind the lingering feeling of confusion. Alright. This is it. This is the proof that I have gone crazy. Or someone had drugged me in that train, Raiden didnt understand what was going on there. But he still succumbed to his curiosity, and a thought of the word

The so-called status window's purpose failed to be grasped by his brain. But Raiden was sure curious as to why this hallucination was telling him that he was related to the Dyrion family. The system got his Class and Rank right. Did it mean that the rest of the information that he got from this system is true as well?
And what is up with such an absurd quest? This system is telling me to kill 23 people? Are you fucking kidding me? I am a man of law not a third-rate street hitman. And how the hell will killing 23 people would bring Light to the world?
Raiden knew then, he was going insane.

Before Raiden knew it, a week passed by before he could blink. It felt like just the other day he came to this town to join his post, and now he had integrated well himself into the community here.
One of the reasons why he was able to integrate himself this fast was because of a mistake that he made when he came here. That mistake was that he visited the station, of whom he would be in charge, which turned out to be a big mistake.
Originally he had planned to spend the 1st week in the town, exploring the place and trying out new things, but his vacation plan crumbled down when he visited the Harmony Guard Station, which was behind the local ash-white bell tower.
His purpose of visit was to introduce himself and get a tour of the place. But when he introduced himself there, soldiers of the place started throwing work at him from left to right. Even though he was their boss, he was not able to deny them, cause he saw the pile of work that he had to go through.
As it turns out, his predecessors were lousy at their jobs. And because of his predecessors, piles of unresolved files accumulated in the station. This pile could only be sorted out by an officer, like him. That is why, before he knew it, he had unofficially joined the station.
Raiden started processing the file, hence lessening the burden of the station. He was introduced to the 10 soldiers who would be working under him. As he was the new officer, soldiers urged him to go around the community to introduce himself so that they could maintain an amicable relationship with them. And like that, a week passed by and Raiden's vacation days were officially over.
At that time he also met this so-called beauty of the town, Tamika Gregory.
She was a really beautiful woman, having curly brown hair, almond color skin, and black eyes. She was a beauty through and through. But most importantly she was a very hard-working woman. She helped him a lot to settle in, although she maintained her distance from him in the early week and gave him cold shoulders most of the time. No one could blame her, every officer that she had before this was gunning to fuck her, so it was she was distant at first.
But the predicament that he faced was the window that had appeared before him. Only Lord Itab knows what would happen if he were to tell anyone about his predicament. He wanted to get a healer to check his condition but feared that if the word got out of his ailment, he might lose his job or something.
So he shoved this fact at the back of his mind and tried to live normally. Which was very easy, because unlike the first day here, there was no golden window that was constantly floating in front of his eyes. It only appears when he commands it to appear.
When the day of his official joining came, he received his uniform which was a white blazer with two silver stars on his shoulders. He got a white shirt, trousers, and shoes to go with the blazer. Along with the uniform he received a standard-issue flintlock gun and a standard 40-inch mana-conducting sword.
Thus started his days as the Inspector in Harmony Guards in the town of Valgoor.
