The lady continued. "Oh, that's by the way. That guard is a battle-type Divine Creature. They were created solely to fight, and probably never respond unless they sense a threat."
Lex stared at the lady as she spoke, as he drank in her features, he realized something. He couldn't make out her complexion, just like every other Celestial being he had ever met, he couldn't tell what color they were.
Lex sighed a little. "How does the light in this place come about?" The lady explained. "Light, time sound, all these doesn't exist in here."
Lex nodded, willing her to continue.
"Time is inconsequential in the realm of the Divine. There is no light too, everything is perceived by our Divine Senses, so if you are too weak to pick up Divine elements, you would be in eternal darkness, until you learn to harness Divine energy."
Lex nodded, finding it mind boggling. The lady saw the reaction, and a smile came to her face.
"If a human, one of your kind were to find themselves here, they wouldn't be able to see anything. It would seem like a pitch black fog for..."
Lex, bit his lips a little, of course he understood that since humans certainly weren't refined or strong enough to perceive Divine energy. Her explanation made that very clear. Her mentions of the human race was starting to irk him.
"Can you not mention the humans?" Lex said, but immediately regretted that he had failed to convey his emotions completely. He had aimed at sounding commanding, smouldering and cold, sending a warning through his voice.
Obviously, he had done the opposite instead. When he had spoken just now, his voice sounded pleading and scared, not like the Supreme Deity he was to believe he was.
Lex consoled himself inwardly. "Don't worry, you would eventually get the hang of this...this might be your world, but you're their king now, and they definitely shouldn't bully you..."
The lady looked at him for a while, then shrugged with a smile. She bowed slightly, the wide smile still on her face.
"Forgive my rudeness. I am Lady Lyra, tasked by the former Supreme Deity to guide you on your path..."
Lex furrowed his brows, that whole talk took a completely different turn very quickly. She was actually a guide?
Lex shrugged "What is your duty as a guide?"
Lyra returned the shrug, but in an almost disrespectful manner.
"Much to my dismay, my former master has asked me to make you acquainted with your new kingdom and always...be there for you."
Lex raised a brow. Now, this girl was very daring. "Much to your dismay?" Lex asked, not breaking his gaze.
Lyra nodded. "Of course...My Lord."
Lex took a deep breath. He wasn't strong enough yet, he would be tamed. He was going to make sure of that. Lex pulled himself together and continued speaking. "Is there really anything to get acquainted with in this world?"
Lyra peered at him amusedly, finding his question funny. "Of course, there is. After all you are yet to meet your subordinates. The very People whom you are bound to protect and shall rule over."
Lex's mouth dropped open. He didn't expect that. He had always envisioned heaven as a place occupied by Angels, only.
He never would have thought the Celestials were a race of their own. Just like humans, they had royal families too and stuff? So there were people he would rule over? Like, citizens and stuff?
At the same time, Lex rolled his eyes at himself. Of course, there would be ordinary citizens of the Celestial Kingdom too, why else would it be called a kingdom then if it were just bunch of powerful deities patrolling empty streets?
Lex took another glance at Lyra, and his heart couldn't help but warm a little. Partially because of her beauty, but mainly because of the past Supreme Deity. "I guess he wasn't as bad as I thought after all."
Clearly, The Deity had been trying to make things easier for him. Lyra had been waiting for him to ask questions, but he had smiled to that instead, making her feel awkward. She continued when it became obvious that he was simply going to keep smiling.
"There are many problems at hand now, and..." Lex's heart dropped. "Many problems? I thought I was just the war?"
Lyra paused, then the chuckled quietly. "Of course not. The kingdom of Heaven is at a critical point, almost at the brink of extinction. You have to stop that and restore the land, else the balance would be broken."
Lex swallowed a little. How did he get here at all let's start with one, something that my current strength can handle."
Lyra nodded, then she muttered to herself. "I doubt your strength can handle any of the issues at hand..."

Lex heaved slowly as he sat in the middle of the meditation room... after his conversation with Lyra.
