A Mystery in His Blood
Dani's mind buzzed with questions, unable to contain his curiosity. Turning to Tanis, he asked hesitantly, "Tanis… my blood. How did it heal you? I mean, you were on the verge of death, but after I dropped just a few drops of my blood on your wound, you started to recover. Why?"
Tanis smirked, her golden eyes glowing faintly in the dim cave light. "Your blood is no ordinary blood, Dani. You're not from this world. You're a being from another dimension—an anomaly here. That alone makes you far more special than you seem."
Her words sent a shock through Dani's body. "Another dimension? Special? What do you mean? I'm just… me. How can my blood have such an effect?"
Tanis tilted her head slightly, an amused smile playing on her lips. "There's something extraordinary within you, something that makes us feel an unexplainable affection toward you. It's in your essence, your very being. Your blood didn't just heal me—it bound me to you, just as Emma was drawn to you."
Dani blinked, still struggling to process what she was saying. "I don't understand. What's so amazing about my body? How could you possibly know this?"
Emma stepped forward, her voice calm and soothing. "Isn't it obvious, Dani? We've lived for centuries, witnessed countless creatures and beings, yet none like you. You're unique, something beyond even our understanding."
Tanis's smirk deepened as she added, "And did we not tell you? We are the strongest on this planet. Sensing the truth about you is well within our power."
Dani fell silent, staring at the ground as his thoughts raced. His blood, his abilities, his very presence—none of it made sense to him. He felt like a piece of a puzzle he didn't have all the pieces for.
Finally, he looked back at the two women, his resolve hardening. "If what you're saying is true, then I need to figure out what makes me so special. If I'm from another dimension, then maybe I can use that to achieve my goals. But I'll need your help."
Emma and Tanis exchanged a knowing glance before Emma replied, "You've had our help from the moment we chose to stay by your side."
Tanis grinned. "Now, stop questioning everything and start embracing who you are, Dani. You have two of the strongest beings in existence as your allies. Use that to your advantage."
Though still unsure, Dani felt a small flicker of confidence light within him. He wasn't alone, and with Emma and Tanis by his side, he knew he had a chance to unravel the mysteries of his existence—and perhaps even change the fate of this world.
