Half a day passed in the blink of an eye, and Lin Fang was still in the cultivating position.
"I spent twelve hours in this world…" He muttered as a thoughtful look appeared on his face.
According to the introduction of Dao Online, time moved differently within the game. A hundred days in Dao Online equated to only a single day in the real world.
This meant that since Lin Fang had spent only half a day in Dao Online, barely 15 minutes had passed back in the real world.
"Spending a day in this world is equivalent to half an hour passing in the real world…insane."
Lin Fang glanced at his attribute panel.
Name: Lin Fang
Realm: Fourth Level of Qi Refining
Spiritual Roots: The Elemental Dao(Ancient)
Special Physique: Dao Body
Luck: Maximum Fortune
Cultivation Manuals: Qi-Gathering Art
Skills: None
He shook his head at the level of progress, it was getting slower and slower as his level increased. Although his speed is considered inhumane compared to others, Lin Fang was not satisfied with how things were going.
"I am only at the Qi Refining realm, and there are so many realms after the Qi Refining realm."
"Whatever. As long as I work hard I should be able to break all these realms, but before that… I need the toilet."
Lin Fang shook his head. Although he had advanced from being a mortal, he was still a human being, he would still feel the need to relieve his bowels.
He looked for the log-out button and pressed on it.
Log Out Option
His body disappeared from the world of Dao Online and appeared once again back on the Green Planet. He quickly headed to the bathroom to relieve himself.
After finishing his business, he logged back in not wanting to waste time.
Glancing outside the temple, the sun had risen quite a while ago, so he wasn't too worried.
"I should also check out this world and the beasts that are in it, I'm wondering how good the food tastes here," Lin Fang chuckled before stepping out of the temple.
Lin Fang remembered that he had no experience in surviving in the wild. He didn't know how to hunt or find prey.
"I should have watched that ten-minute video on surviving the wild back when I was young," Lin Fang muttered with a soft smile on his face.
Even though Lin Fang didn't have experience he was still fearless. He is a cultivator after all, even if he can't beat strong monsters, he should be able to kill some of the small fry.
'The creators of Dao Online wouldn't place the players between monsters that are stronger than early-stage Qi Refining.' Ling Fang thought, whilst exploring the mountain he was placed on.
As Ling Fang explored the area around him, he heard a sudden rustle ahead.
Lin Fang's heart skipped a beat, he quickly hid behind a large bush and watched from between the leaves.
Soon, a larger-than-normal wild boar appeared.
"This world's monsters really live up to their name," Lin Fang muttered, narrowing his eyes as he studied the creature.
After observing for a while, Lin Fang realised that the wild boar although big was weaker than him. He was able to tell from the breath that the wild boar exuded.
'Let's see how strong monsters inside this world are,' Lin Fang thought, before sneaking up on the wild boar that was just roaming around aimlessly.
He began his approach, his movements fluid and silent, each step thought of, to avoid snapping twigs or rustling leaves.
The boar's ears twitched, perhaps sensing something amiss. Lin Fang froze, holding his breath until the beast resumed its aimless foraging.
Within moments, Lin Fang was behind it, in the perfect position for an ambush.
He exhaled slowly, gathering his qi, letting it pool and coalesce in his palm. A faint glow illuminated his hand, the concentrated energy thrumming with power. With a sudden burst of movement, he struck.
The blow connected with a thunderous impact, sending a shockwave through the air.
The wild boar didn't even have a chance to react, its massive body was hurled through the air like a ragdoll.
It collided with a nearby tree, the sound of splintering wood mingling with a guttural grunt of pain as the creature slumped to the ground.
Dust and leaves rained down as the forest fell silent, the echoes of the strike fading into stillness.
Lin Fang approached the downed beast cautiously, his gaze scanning for any sign of resistance. The wild boar twitched weakly, its chest heaving as it took its breaths. The tree behind it bore a deep gouge where the impact had splintered the bark.
Lin Fang stood over the defeated creature, his expression unreadable.
"Not bad," Lin Fang muttered, though his tone carried no satisfaction. This was merely the beginning—a minor trial in a world brimming with dangers far greater than a mere wild boar.
As he glanced at the wild boar, he saw two sinny wooden chests next to its body.
"So these are so-called drops that monsters give after their death."
Reaching out, he tapped one of the chests experimentally. It felt solid under his touch, real and tangible. He smirked, his curiosity piqued. "Could it be a magic weapon? Or maybe a skill?"
Lin Fang opened the first chest cautiously. The lid creaked slightly as it swung open, revealing an object glowing from within.
