Ring Ring
"So class, that will be the end of today's work. Don't forget that our department will be going on a trip next week.
So I want you guys to prepare very well, alright have a blessed day," said Mr Lovren as he walks of the class.
Everyone packs their bags as the lectures for the day is over. At the back of the class, a boy was putting his books into his bag when he heard someone discussing with her friend.
"Did you hear the rumor going around?" said the first girl.
"What is it?" asked the second girl.
"David is going against Peter again in a basketball game," said the first girl.
"Really when?" said the second girl feeling excited.
"Tomorrow at the school basketball court," said the first girl.
"Tomorrow? I won't be able to come, I have a community service to attend," said the second depressed.
"Can't you skip?" asked the first girl.
"I can't. My parole officer will be there with me," said the second girl.
"Really, that is bad but don't worry I will gist you about it tomorrow night," said the first girl.
"Really thank you. You are the best," said the second girl.
The two girls left the class feeling excited while the boy continue with what he was doing until he heard someone called his name
"Hey Ray," shouted the person.
Ray looked up and adjusts his glasses to see clearly, he saw the person calling him coming from afar with a smile on his face.
"Hey Jack," said Ray as he picks up his bag.
Jack arrived in front of him and pulled him into his embrace while ruffling his hair. Feeling embarrassed, Ray pushed Jack away and adjusts his hair which Jack ruffled.
"You didn't tell me you were coming to school today," said Jack as he stood in front of him with his hands fold.
"I never planned to come but I changed my mind," said Ray as he walks towards the exit of the class.
"Still you could have just dropped a message and I will come and pick you up from home," said Jack.
"I felt like taking the bus that was why I didn't call or text you," replied Ray.
"Well let's forget about that, I came to call you so we can go to the arcade together and play some games," said Jack feeling excited.
"I am sorry Jack, I won't be able to follow you as I have an appointment with my doctor today," said Ray.
"Huh, you have an appointment today? I thought your next appointment is by next week," said Jack feeling confused.
"It is but we are going on a trip next week so I won't be around that is why i have to go today," said Ray.
"Fine, but you will have to join tomorrow, Okay?" said Jack.
"No problem, just text me when you are ready," said Ray as he board a taxi to the hospital.
Jack looked at the taxi leaving before turning to the car lot to pick his car.
Ray looked back at Jack until he was out of sight. Ray sighed before texting his doctor that he is on his way to the hospital.
Ray is a 21 years old boy who has a weak physique which make him a regular patient in the hospital from childhood, he met Jack at the hospital during one of his visit to the hospital.
Jack came to the hospital for a broken nose and he was with his parents who were arguing with someone else. Jack saw Ray and waved at him but Ray ignored him and continue walking to the doctor's office.
The following day, Ray was surprised to see Jack in the same class as him because he has never saw him in his class before. Jack was excited to see Ray and went to sat beside him. Although Ray tried to avoid him but he couldn't so he leave him alone and let him be.
Back to the present time, Ray arrived in front of the hospital and saw a patient being rushed in from an ambulance. Seeing this, Ray shakes his head before entering the hospital.
Arriving at the reception area, he saw a lot of people waiting for their appointment so he walked to the receptionist desk and saw the attending nurse.
"Good afternoon, big sis Lana," greeted Ray.
"Oh oh, look who it is, if it isn't little Ray," said the nurse who looked from the desk before asking ."How are you doing?"
"I am the same as always, what about you," replied Ray.
"As you can see, I am getting wrinkles on my face," replied Lana.
"Who told you that you have wrinkles, you are as stunning as always," replied Ray.
"Really, then how about you accompany me for the night after my shift is over," said Lana with a teasing smile on her face.
"As much as I will love to accompany you,I will have to decline the generous offer," said Ray with a smile.
"Hmm, you are no fun," said Lana puffing her face.
"I am sorry," replied Ray still smiling.
"So what are you here for because if I remember clearly your appointment is next week," said Lana.
"Yes it is next week but I have to come today because my department is going on a trip next week and I won't be around so I decide to come today and I have also informed Dr Dre that I was coming," said Ray explaining for Lana.
"Ohh Dr Dre is currently in his office and waiting for you," said Lana nodding to the words of Ray.
"Thank you," said Ray as he turns to the direction of Dr Dre office.
"Oh make sure you see me before leaving okay?" said Lana.
Ray was confused as to why she wants to see him but replied "Sure."
In an office sat a man who could be mistaken for a bodybuilder due to his dense muscle and towering height of 195cm going through some files when he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," said the man without raising his head.
"Good afternoon Dr Dre," said Ray as he enters the office.
"Oh, welcome Ray. How are you?" asked Dr Dre as he raised his head to return the greeting.
"I am the same as always, weak," said Ray as he sat in front of Dr Dre.
"Sorry about that," said Dr Dre as he close the file he was checking before continuing "So the reason you came is for your checkup right?"
"Yes, I won't be around next week so I have to come around today," said Ray confirming Dr Dre's words.
"Good, now let's get you checked," said Dr Dre as he stood up from his chair and gesture Ray to follow him.

An hour later.
Ray sat in front of Dr Dre who was checking his test results while shaking his head.
"Ray, I won't lie to you. Your condition is getting more worse and you don't have much time left," said Dr Dre with a tingle of sadness in his voice.
"I know that I don't have much time left either so you don't have to worry about me," said Ray.
"What about your parents? When was the last time you heard from them?" asked Dr Dre.
"It has been over 4 months since we last talked and since then I never heard from them," said Ray.
"4 months? That was a long time ago," said Dr Dre in anger as he smash his desk.
"Don't get angry, it is the nature of their job that make it hard to talk to them," said Ray in hurry.
"What do you mean by that, the last time you saw your parents was 6 years ago and here you are telling me not to worry," shouted Dr Dre in anger.
"I know but what can I do? They are not nearby that I can go and met them so what am I to do? Travel the world in search of my parents workplace or post about my parents online to get their location," said Ray with tears in his eyes.
"I am sorry, it is just that I am worried about you," said Dr Dre.
"It is fine," replied Ray before continuing " I[ is getting late, so I will be on my way," picking up his bag to leave the office.
"I am sorry, but let me know the next time you heard from your parents okay," said Dr Dre.
"Okay I have heard you. I see you later, bye." said Ray.
Watching as Ray leaves the office, Dre took a deep sigh and mutter some words before continue to check the files he was going through.
Arriving at the reception desk, Ray met Lana who was sorting some files as she was about to go on a last round check on the patients before her shift is over.
"Big sis Lana," called out Ray to grab her attention.
"Oh lil' Ray, you are done already,that is quite fast," said Lana.
"Yeah the process was easier than before, that is why," said Ray.
"Hmm, it will take some time for me to finish my rounds, why don't we met in front of Arena complex by 8pm. I want to take you somewhere," said Lana.
"Big sis Lana,I won't be spending the night with you right?" asked Ray with reluctant.
"You silly pervert, I just want to have some fun with you that is all," said Lana as she flicks Ray's forehead.
"Ok if you say so,is it casual or corporate?" asked Ray.
"Just something nice," replied Lana with a smile on her face.
"Ok see you by 8," said Ray as he turns to leave the hospital.
Looking at him walking away, Lana licks her lips before smiling which reveals two fangs in her teeth.
Ray boards a taxi and heads home while thinking about the words of Dr Dre, the driver looked at him through the rear view mirror but continues driving.
30 minutes later, Ray arrived at home and heads straight to shower to freshen up before having dinner.
Walking out of the shower, Ray felt a sudden intense pain all over his body making him scream in pain, he tried to crawling towards his bed to reach his phone to call for help but couldn't move an inch as the pain paralyzed his body.
Gasping for breath, he tried to shout for help but he couldn't as his vocal cords were filled with blood which he spat out. Seeing that he could call for help, he had one final thought before closing his eyes.
'Is this where it ends, damn it I am still a virgin for fuck sake.'
Unable to withstand the pain, Ray took his last breath.
