Xavian stared at his two best friends, and the unbearable pain in his head made him frown, fisting his hands.
"No," he answered.
Ramon groaned. "Xav, are you kidding me? Why haven't you done it?"
"I don't know!" he snapped. "It's not as easy as you think. You've never had to reject a mate before, but you know how affecting it can be. How painful it has been for those who did, so what makes you think I'm going to do it so easily like it's nothing? Besides, a second mate isn't just…something you get rid of."
"So you want to keep her?" Ramon asked. "Is-is that what you're saying?"
