Father didn't forbid Livius from trying to cure Sebastian, but it is not different from trying to make a move without his consent. If he knows that someone takes an action without his permission, he will surely give that person a punishment.
But he can't do that to me anymore. I am confident that he won't get mad once he discovers what we did because like what his elite knights said, I am now free to do everything I wanted to do.
However, guards and footmen are not aware of that. That's why we still need to be careful on our move. It is not that I am afraid they will catch us, rather I am worried what would be the effect on Livius if things got messed up again.
I looked at Livius, he was walking slower than me that's why he was at my back. "We are near Sebastian's room, we only need to turn right—"
I stopped him from walking and pushed him to hide in a pillar as I detected someone approaching from the way we were heading.
As they passed by without noticing us, I relieved a sigh. "That was close."

Before I could celebrate, it got interrupted when Livius looked in the direction where the footmen go. So before he could react and complain, I headed first so he could follow me. The celebration will come later after he heals Sebastian.
Using the skill of 'inspect,' I managed to check who the person inside the room aside from Sebastian.
As I came closer to the room, I didn't hesitate to open the door. And as I expected, the person who's with my father's subordinate is none other than his wife.
She immediately stands up. "My lord," she greeted me as she bowed her head.
Before she could bow her head, I noticed that her eyes were puffy from crying. I don't know if Sebastian's case is getting serious or if she is just very worried about what if no one can help her husband.
I enter the room and Livius follows me. "Forgive us for our sudden visit, I just wanted to check on Sebastian's condition. How is he?" I asked. I also gesture to Livius to immediately close the door.
She wrinkled her brow as she turned her gaze to Sebastian. "He is still the same since your last visit, my lord," she said. "He's… fine. He is going to be fine," she added.
Her shoulders rounded forward and her back was not fully straight. I saw that posture many times when my mom was in a state where she didn't know where to get money to pay our bills.
I clasped my hands together. "Is there any word from my father?"
It took a second before she could answer me. "My lord, we are very grateful to you and the duke for giving us the privilege to stay here and helping us in looking for a talented physician who can cure my husband. I can't ask anything more."
"You didn't answer my question, Minerva. What did my father said?"
Her gaze never settles on a person or object for long. But I can see that she is about to cry.
I sighed. "Nevermind. Whatever he said won't help anyway." Then I looked at my side to let Livius know that I would now mention him to Minerva. "I bring Sarrafort again with me today, hoping that he can try to heal your husband again."
She gazes at Livius but her brow is still wrinkling.
I don't want her to say anything that can discourage Livius again so I initiate to talk, "The first time he tries to heal Sebastian, they forbid him to use the herbs he prepared as they believe it was safer to use the herbs that the household prepared," I explained.
Minerva clutches her dress. I continue speaking, "Don't worry, I still prefer to let it be like that. But I wanted him to try using his light magic again to heal Sebastian. If that is fine with you?"
She shifted her gaze to Sebastian, there was no wrinkling in her brows anymore. "How pathetic it is that the only thing I can do for my husband is to pray that he will wake up again one day," she said.
She looked at me before she spoke again. "But you, my lord, you do all the efforts just to make the impossible become possible…" Tears fell from her cheeks as she continued speaking. "I have no right to refuse. After all, I have no other wish for you other than healing my husband…"
I sensed that Livius stepped forward. Minerva is now looking at her. "I'm begging you, Mister Sarrafort. Please… heal my husband. Make him survive…"
When I looked at Livius, I saw that he was moved by Minerva's words. I hope her words will also help him to build the courage to heal Sebastian without relying on herbs.
"All he do in his entire life is to serve our duke…" Minerva continued speaking. "And if he open his eyes again, I swear to God to not interfere if he choose to serve him again…"
Livius takes a few more steps to approach Sebastian. He's looking at the unconscious patient intensely. "I promise, I will save him…" he said as he tightened his fist. "So please, let me try to heal him again, Ma'am."
Minerva wiped her tears and nodded at Livius with a little smile on her lips.
Then I focused my gaze on Livius as he prepared himself to use his light magic. He bends his body and puts his hand on Sebastian's chest. A few seconds later, a light flashes on his palm.
I crossed my arms as I smirked. Of course, I am certain that he can heal Sebastian, he is indeed a talented physician and a fearsome villain of the series. His light magic is no joke.
"Sebas!"
I immediately looked at Sebastian when I heard Minerva shout her husband's name. When I looked at them, she was now hugging Sebastian who was…
"He's awake…" Livius said. There is a gleam in his eyes when he looks at me. "My lord, I did it! I healed him!"
Indeed, his light magic was exceptional.
Now that I think of it, his magic is light. Then how come he yields a dark magic in the series? Has anyone taught him how to use it? Or does he just discover randomly that he can turn his magic into dark?
Yeah, now that I realize it… aside from the fact that he is the only person in Arventia who has light magic, in the series, he uses dark magic to try to destroy the kingdom. How did all that thing become possible?
As a mob character, I do not know that matters as Nicodeim dies early in the series. As a person who watched the series, it didn't show how Livius possesses dark magic. The principle in this world is a person can only yield one elemental magic.
But is it possible that since his magic is different from ours, the principle is also different?
The smirk faltered, just for a moment. Dark magic, huh? That's a headache for another day.
I turned my gaze to the couple. Minerva is crying while she's hugging her husband, while Sebastian strokes her hair to calm her down.
That moment made me think that I shouldn't think about Livius having dark magic too much. I should focus on what is happening right now. I can deal with that problem once I finish my current quest.
I put down my arms as I approached Sebastian. "It's good that you're awake, Sebastian. Father will be happy when he finds out you're awake."
Sebastian turned his gaze at me. "My lord…" He tries to get up as he continues speaking, "Thank you… thank you for healing me. Thank you for giving me second life. Thank you because I can be with my family again…"
Minerva halted him in trying to get up. It's getting awkward that Sebastian is now crying too.
I stroke my eyebrow as I speak. "Don't force yourself to get up, you still need to rest. And I'm not the one who you should thank…" I looked at Livius, making Sebastian look at him too. "It's him who healed you. Using his bare hands only."
Livius tries to hide himself using his hair. But it doesn't make Sebastian look away from him. "Sir, I am very grateful to you… thank you so much. Please tell me anything I can do to repay your kindness, Sir—"
Livius shakes his head. "No, I don't need… I mean, you don't have to… to repay me, Sir."
[NOTICE: Livius's hatred decreases to 20%.]
A grin flashes to my lips. 'I thank you for that notice, CC,' I said in my mind.
As I watched Livius and Sebastian talking with each other, the grin never left my lips. To be honest, everything did not turn out what I wanted to happen but at least my plan is still a success. I know this event will turn into something I like in the future.
