Chapter 1 - Massacre

Babel City was a capital of perfection. Aside from just being the most technologically advanced city in the world, homelessness had been eradicated and almost every household made more than enough money to call themselves wealthy.

This household was much like the many others in Babel city. A well of family of five consisting of a couple in their 40's, a daughter in their 20's studying at university, and two brothers aged 15 and 16 each.

Although the youngest brother was a borrower, everyone still loved him as if he were human, much like everybody did in Babel.

The light of day had long since left and only night remained outside. The father was watching TV with a nice cup of tea, and the mother was finishing washing the dishes after a hearty meal. The eldest sister was in the shower, and the other two brothers were talking about whatever they usually did.

"Honey? Can you call down Liliah? She forgot to take her medication again?"

"She's already in the shower! She won't hear me!"

The mother just pouted. This was the fifth time she had forgotten. One of these days she was going to get herself killed because of it.

Naturally she was just another mother concerned for her daughter.

Suddenly someone began to knock on the door. Three separate knocks with a perfect 2 second delay between each one.

The mother was about to go get it, but then the husband stood up from the couch.

"It's fine, I'll answer it."

He walked over to the door and quickly opened it as he was in a hurry to get back to the couch. But froze from confusion at what he saw.

"Huh?"

Not even a second later, a bullet like pulse of energy flew straight through his skull, killing him instantly. His body slumped to the ground as a puddle of blood poured out the perfect hole in his head.

The mother heard something heavy fall onto the floor, and came to check on what it was.

"Honey? What's going on—"

"Too old."

The moment she saw her husbands corpse, she too was killed on the spot. Another bullet of wind pierced through her forehead, killing her on the spot. No time to grieve, and no time to even think. It was a merciless death.

The cause of this finally entered into the house, kindly closing the door behind him. It was a man wearing black hiker boots, jeans and a matching short winter coat. Its hood put a shadow on his face, keeping him concealed.

He carefully walked around the corpses of the two, making sure blood didn't stain his boots before finally heading straight upstairs.

He took a left turn before opening the door and just walked in casually, as if this was any typical day for him.

There were two beds, one each at one side of the room with a brother sitting on each. The older of the two brothers quickly jumped up, surprised by the sudden intruder, and just as quickly he was put down with a flick of the intruders fingers. A bullet of blue energy quickly pierced his skull, putting him to rest just like his parents before him.

The younger brother who was the borrower, screamed in anger at the death of his brother. Since he was the only one in his family, he had trained himself in case the day he needed to protect them ever came.

"YOU BASTARD! I'LL KILL YOU!"

He directed the palm of his hand towards the intruder, and then quickly manifested his own orb of energy. But very quickly that was destroyed by a blast from the intruder.

"!!"

A second bullet pierced his own skull too, although this one was much more powerful. It splattered blood all over the wall behind him as his head exploded.

The intruder quietly left while closing the door behind him. He could feel it. There was only one person left alive in the house.

He slowly walked over to the bathroom, and opened it the same as every other time.

Suddenly the back of a hair dryer hit him in the face. It staggered him a little, but when it came for a second hit, he quickly caught it.

A blond haired women with freckles in a bath towel was struggling to break free from it. But the intruder crushed her weapon with just his bare hand.

Liliah slowly backed away in fear, but the intruder followed her too. Eventually she hit a wall where she was finally cornered.

"w— why!?", she asked in fear.

"Do you watch anime?"

The question was confusing. She could tell by his brothers screams and then sudden silence that they had been killed, and now this man was asking if she watched anime??

"Yes?", she hesitantly replied.

This man was clearly a borrower if he was able to destroy the hair dryer like that so she was smart enough to follow his demands.

"Have you watched one piece? If you lie I'll know. And if you do I'll kill you on the spot."

"Yes... Yes I have..?"

The intruder smiled. He was over joyed with this news. He quickly grabbed both her hands, and Shaked them as if he were greeting a friend he hadn't seen in a while.

"Great! We can be excellent friends then! Whose your favourite character!?"

This outcome was surprising but good. If she bought a little more time, then help would arrive. She still had to answer honestly.

"It would have to be saint Charlos. When he redeemed himself after everything he's done by saving Luffy, it just really struck with me—"

The intruder suddenly grabbed Liliah by the neck as he shouted.

"ARE YOU STUPID!? HOW COULD HE! THAT SCUM — BE YOUR FAVOURITE CHARACTER!? SO MANY OTHER GOOD CHOICES, AND YOU PICKED HIM!?? 3000 CHAPTERS OF ONE PIECE, OVER 500 CHARACTERS, AND YOU PICKED HIM!??"

As the intruder grew more frustrated, Lilah struggled to breathe and tried to beg him to stop. But as he continued to rant, his grip grew stronger, and eventually...

A loud crack suddenly echoed, and Liliah's body went limp. The light in her eyes slowly faded as she lost consciousness and died. The intruder quickly realized what he had done and stood up as he backed away from the body.

"Shit, Shit! I killed another one."

He began to cry as he looked at the palms of his hand. It wasn't just her, but countless other people had been a victim to his bad habit. And he remembered every single one of them.

"I didn't mean too— I.. I just wanted... Damn it!"

Police sirens began to ring outside, signifying the arrival of the police, and possibly another Borrower.

The intruder quickly jumped through the Bathroom window and made his escape out the back.
