Divergent Spectre

Neon signs toppled the street , boosting all the shops within the area even by day . The night was much worse , with their brightness increasing no man dared to pass through those streets without his shades on. But one can say that this was no man , Avaris Lias , his short black hair and blue eyes was unrequited in his stance , clearly a stranger to this district of Chinatown he sought guidance to the rushed map in his hand then through it away in disappointment.

He tried to muster whatever mandarin he learned in all those Bruce Lee movies , "Konnichiwa , uh... uh... do you know where the Maigawao Global Blacksmith Organization is?", to anyone who was there he pleaded for the directions.

The one man who was passing by selling beef noodles answered him , "Yoko ni arimasu.", pointing to the sign behind Avaris written in a orange sign with two crossed swords at the end and the 'O' as shield, 'MGBO⚔️'."And you were speaking japanese not mandarin. By the way , good luck. The last guy quit on the first day."

Avaris took a deep breath and then casually strolled into the building , leaving only a brown cat giving chase to a rat down the alley.

What he saw was unexpected ; the entire room was filled with sounds of metal being pounded upon , sparks flying everywhere and a clammer of voices at the top of their lungs either barking orders or receiving them. All of the blacksmiths looked like hard ironed veterans from back in the day before the Ruins of Seliforian the Cunning. "You there!".

"Me?", Avaris was caught off-guard , all the magic conjuring , rune forging and even the enchantments were just too distracting for him to notice the ginger-bearded man who was calling to him. He pointed at himself in surprise and was received with what seemed like a pat in the head but was really a strong , really strong head lift.

The man pushed past his co-workers with young Avaris in his large, firm hand heading to the stairs. He climbed with briskness without leaving an opening for any stumbling. Finally they had gotten to wherever the young teen was brought and even when he stood at the door waiting for permission to enter , Avaris looked at the man's back as he was leaving and saw the classical gear and thought ,.

"You may enter. ",he opened the door , now aware of whose office he had been taken to. The gentleman who received him at the first step was junior , probably in his early-twenties and by the way he stood , he was probably of some high experience as a conquerer .

Thirteen years prior , in the year (2012) MXII ; the world was the most normal that had been known in human history, but that's when a retired army colonel was enjoying his horse race as the leading rider who rode gallantly ahead of the competition but in turn rode into what he at the time thought was a disaster.

Seliforian, that was him , had accidentally gone through something we have come to know today as the 'Vortex Dungeon & Ruin Gate' but for short a vortex gate. Immediately after he went in monsters came out , for months the city of Valekriorion faced tremendous challenges with keeping them at bay since their weapons were ineffective. Events like that happened all over the world and led to a planetary crisis , then one day a young corporate tycoon was saved from being dinner for the Orcs by a local butcher who claimed to be going to harvest some greens from the forest , somehow his butcher knife had been glowing with an extremely red , scarlet flame and his physical abilities were beyond human according to the footage of a convenience store street camera.

News of this incident spread quickly among all the social media platforms and them more of them began appearing world wide. Even more surprising , a pointy eared man appeared out of the vortex in Congo . The man called himself Tharian , he was a representative from the elven people of Velonia who had fleed from their world before it went supernova.

The Elves , as a sign of gratitude for being provided with a place to live by the UN , they gave the world something known as a Vortex Launcher ; crafted by the high-elves it could close off a vortex for a certain amount of time depending on the magical cores of slain monsters.

Right before the end of the year , a party assembled by the corporate tycoon who was saved by the butcher and several others around the world was sent into the vortex and returned victorious in their conquest .This earning the name , Conquerers : those who possessed an innate ability woken by the first appearance of the Vortex Gate .

After the world was saved , the vortexes kept appearing and eventually a whole new variety of job opportunities arose. And by the second year, being a conquerer was the second highest paying job in the world , only to the job of Corporate Vortex Purchase.

"A conquerer me? ", he thought deeply and answered entirely calm without of any hint of dishonesty, "Not really , never thought about it. "

The man rose and patted him on the back then said cheerfully, "Excellent! , let's get your abilities unlocked. ",he was lead to the next room , through a creepy hallway and then to a very commercial looking business district.

A young lady sat boredly at a table next to a semi-giant crystal ball assigned to a silver stand. When the company boss entered the room she got to her feet , "Guildmaster Maiga! ,what brings you here today?".
