Shizaki felt nervous, no….that was an understatement.
Shizaki was extremely nervous to the point where he was already questioning himself internally as to why he voiced to help Rigel and the other villagers in Sekoto Forest.
He did say all of that stuff about wanting to help them, however, the last time that he stepped foot in that forest, it was not a fun ride. In fact, it was quite the opposite.
Around a week ago, he had entered this place thinking that Aya was in the midst of a wildfire. While in there, he encountered a strange phenomena, a vision about the impending doom of everyone.
Nearly two days later, he agreed to the decision of staying in Sekoto Forest to sleep overnight instead of staying in the carriage-rider Kiyotai's vehicle. That single decision was the start of his turning point.
