[Chapter: 21 At the Banquet]
Peggy looked at William. "Why would you agree to let Steve go? A woman's life and death won't make you change your decision. Why did you compromise like that? From the start, you did what you wanted to do without considering others."
"Ah, Peggy, you really know me well. Because Steve is still useful to me, I let him go," William said with a smile. Steve's role is naturally to attack the Hydra directly.
"You bastard," Peggy screamed.
"William, hahaha," Schmidt laughed and walked over with Zola. "You did a good job, very well done. I didn't choose the wrong person."
"Thank you for the compliment," William said with a smile.
"You are Schmidt," Peggy looked at Schmidt coldly.
"Yes, and it seems that your relationship with William is not an ordinary one," Schmidt smiled.
"She's my booty, sir. Is there any problem?"
Schmidt shook his head, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Of course not, my friend William. You have proven to be an invaluable asset in securing our victory. Thanks to your cunning and contributions, we have sidestepped what could have been a significant loss. More importantly, we are on the cusp of finally casting off Hitler's shadow for good. Such an achievement deserves recognition, so I will personally host a grand celebration in your honor."
"But I failed to kill the Captain clown," William said guiltily.
"What's more important is that you defeated him, so when you see him next time, you can take care of him for good, hahaha," Schmidt laughed.

In a 5-star hotel,
The iconic banner of the Hydra was hung everywhere, and everyone's shoulders were embroidered with the skull of the Hydra. They were all drinking and talking to each other.
"Look, Sir Schmidt is here." The people who said that continued until everyone saw him, and they got ready. Then they put their right hands on their left shoulders and lowered their heads one by one, expressing their respect for Schmidt.
William pulled Peggy, who wore a cold expression, and was walking behind Schmidt. Zola had been on their side, walking slowly.
Schmidt walked to the lower stage in the forefront and stood up. "To all the Hydra elites gathered here, I am very happy today because we have a new warrior in Hydra. So let us welcome him."
Schmidt took the lead in clapping his palms, and everyone joined in clapping them.
William stepped on the low stage and stood next to Schmidt. "Hello everyone, my name is William. I am not going to talk a lot, since it might be boring, and you may start attacking me out of boredom."
Everyone froze, and then all of them burst into a fit of laughter, thinking, This is the newest warrior of the Hydra? Did he come here to tell jokes?
Schmidt coughed, and everyone stopped laughing.
"William is a man who is naturally unrestrained and loves freedom, so he speaks more freely. But if you look down on him for this, you will be at a disadvantage," Schmidt's voice carried a hint of chill.
"You should all know that the Hydra stronghold in the Claussberg Mountains was attacked by the Americans, but we won without suffering any loss. On the Atlantic Ocean, two Allied cruisers were sunk. The hero who did all of this is William," Schmidt said with a proud face.
Everyone's look at William changed, and they thought, Is this person really capable of something so big?
"For the development of our Hydra and for the strength of our Hydra, here I declare that William is now the deputy leader of our Hydra forces. Except for me, everyone must obey him," Schmidt announced.
Suddenly, the scene was quiet, and only the sound of breathing could be heard. They did not expect that Schmidt would make someone they did not know anything about their deputy leader.
"First of all, thank you, Mr. Schmidt, the leaders, the German radio station, and all of you," William's promotion speech had not yet finished.
"Sir, I'm not convinced. Why can such a guy become the deputy leader of Hydra? How can you convince everyone?" Two men in suits came over.
Schmidt said somberly, "Are you questioning my decisions?"
"They seem to be questioning me," William jumped off the stage and walked toward the two.
The two looked at each other. For the future of Hydra, even if they get executed by Lord Schmidt, they will have to kill this guy.
The two took out their guns at the same time and fired bullets at William.
"William!" Peggy called.
William's eyes and pupils contracted a bit. The trajectory of the bullet had already been seen by him. His body quickly twisted and moved. His feet hit the ground, and in a second, he was a dozen meters away from his initial place. Then, he was near the two people.
"Aaah," the two people who had just fired the shots made painful sounds. They didn't understand what was going on. Their feet could not touch the ground anymore, and there was one hand holding their necks.
The people present covered their mouths. What just happened? What exactly happened?
The two people were struggling in pain, trying to get free. "Let go, let go," they said at the same time.
"Let you go? Those who question Lord Schmidt's decision are not worthy of staying in Hydra. Hell is a more suitable place for you," William's hands tightened.

Their necks were broken by William, and their bodies no longer struggled.
William threw the bodies of the two on the ground. Since his speech was interrupted, he just—
Suddenly, he held up a hand and said, "Hail Hydra."
"Hail Hydra," everyone said at the same time. This was like their backbone and something they would always say.
Schmidt opened his hands and smiled wildly, "Haha, hahaha, hahaha!"
After a while, the scene calmed down, and Schmidt called out, "Does anyone else have a problem now?"
"No."
"Today, this banquet is held for William. Let us all toast a glass to his name," Schmidt picked up the wine glass and raised it.
"Cheers."
After that, everyone cheered confidently, and then William was surrounded by a lot of people.
"Are you gay?" William asked.
Everyone, especially the men around William, froze. "Hell, no."
"So what are you doing surrounding me like this? Go on, enjoy the party," William squeezed himself out of the people around him and sat down at a table.
"Master William," a few girls holding wine glasses came over to William. Since they heard him shoo the men, they wanted to take the chance and get closer to him. "Can we sit down?"
William said with a smile, "Please, sit down."
As they sat down, they started flattering him and said,
"Master William, you are so handsome, so young, and so powerful." The three women all looked at William like they wanted to devour him, thinking that if they could get a shot with him, their lives would prosper.
"Really? You think so?" William said with a laugh.
"Of course," one of the girls purred, her voice dripping with seduction as she slid her hand over William's shoulder, guiding his palm to rest firmly on her breast. Her sultry gaze locked onto his, daring him to respond. The other two, unwilling to be overshadowed, leaned in with mischievous smiles, their hands trailing across his chest as they pressed their bodies against him, their intentions unmistakably provocative. Each move was a deliberate invitation, their teasing escalating as they sought his attention in an ever more tantalizing display.
