Chapter 11 - 11 | Jix’s Café (2)

As LC advanced relentlessly, Udo and Jay's nerves were visibly fraying.

Udo: "We're going to lose at this rate."

Jay: "Their push is unstoppable."

Despite the rising tension, Kaiza remained calm, his gaze fixed on the screen with unyielding determination.

Kaiza: "Focus on the objectives. Don't panic."

Udo's voice broke through the chaos as he spotted an opportunity.

Udo: "I've got them!"

Charging forward, Udo taunted four of LC's heroes, locking them into position. The Marauders seized the moment, unleashing a devastating combo that took out two enemies. The remaining three scrambled to retreat, buying the Marauders a brief but critical breath in the relentless battle.

The Marauders regrouped, their breathing heavy but filled with newfound resolve. Kaiza's focus intensified. His movements became almost surreal, as if he could predict LC's every step.

Kaiza (to himself): "I can read their moves… What's happening?"

With precision and instinct, Kaiza began targeting LC's members one by one. In the jungle, he ambushed their marksman, cutting off their key source of damage. On the river, he caught their mid-laner overextending, exploiting the smallest misstep. His traps were meticulously planned, his execution flawless. Each kill struck a psychological blow to LC, unraveling their coordination.

Isaac watched the carnage unfold, his frustration mounting.

Isaac: "How is he doing this? Stick together! Don't let him isolate us!"

But it was too late. The Marauders had clawed their way back, the momentum shifting to a precarious 50/50. One wrong move could now decide the game.

Isaac: "Let's bait our support. If they fall for it, we'll dive from the back."

The idea was bold and calculated—a perfect trap. As the battle raged on, Udo's sharp eyes locked onto LC's vulnerable support, who appeared to be out of position. He prepared to blink in for the kill.

Allison: "Don't!"

Kaiza: "Why not?"

Jay: "It's the perfect kill. We'd have a 5v4 advantage!"

Allison: "I think it's a trap. I can feel it."

The room fell silent for a moment, the tension palpable. Allison's instincts had saved them countless times before, and though he couldn't fully articulate why, his gut screamed that something was off.

Narrator: Allison didn't realize this, but his instincts had always been his greatest strength—a sixth sense that could see through the subtlest of deceptions.

The Marauders heeded his warning, abandoning the bait. Instead, they regrouped and marched toward the high ground. As they approached LC's base, the trap was revealed—four of LC's members lying in wait for an ambush. But the Marauders were ready.

Udo: "They're the ones trapped now!"

With a roar, Udo taunted Isaac and pinned him down. Kaiza capitalized on the opening, joining Udo to finish Isaac off with lethal precision. Allison, in the chaos, targeted LC's carry, trading his life to secure the kill. Though Allison fell, his sacrifice wasn't in vain. It was a devastating 2-for-0 exchange in the Marauders' favor.

The crowd erupted into a frenzy. Spectators at Jix's Cafe were on their feet, shouting and cheering.

Spectator 1: "Did you see that? Allison's instincts are insane!"

Spectator 2: "Kaiza's unstoppable! This is pure domination!"

The Marauders pressed their advantage, pushing through LC's base. With LC's respawn timers still ticking down, the path was clear. Victory was within their grasp.

As the Marauders surged into LC's base,

Jix's Café pulsed with an energy that felt exhilarating. Spectators leaned forward, their eyes glued to the screens, the hum of chatter replaced by gasps and murmurs. The tension was thick, but Kaiza's voice cut through like a blade.

Kaiza: "Udo, with me. Mid lane. Straight to the throne. No distractions."

Udo nodded, his determination ignited by Kaiza's unwavering confidence.

Udo: "Let's end this."

The two charged down the middle lane, their heroes tearing through the final defensive tower like a storm. Explosions erupted around them, casting flickering lights across the crowd. LC's remaining structures crumbled, and victory was within reach—but Isaac's voice roared through the comms.

Isaac: "Respawning now! I'll hold them!"

Cheers turned to panicked whispers as Isaac's hero materialized on the screen. His jungle bruiser, fully equipped and at full health, darted toward the mid lane with lethal intent.

Spectator 1: "Isaac's back! He's going to stop them!"

Spectator 2: "Kaiza's barely hanging on! This isn't over!"

Kaiza's health bar was dangerously low, a sliver of red that made every second a gamble. He clenched his teeth, his fingers moving with unrelenting precision.

Kaiza (to himself): "One mistake, and it's over. But I won't let this slip."

Isaac charged into the fray, his hero cutting through minions like butter. Udo stepped forward, his taunt ready to pin Isaac down.

Udo: "I'll hold him off—go for the throne!"

But before Udo could act, a sudden blast from LC's respawned support immobilized him. Isaac leapt past the stunned Udo, his weapon raised, eyes locked on Kaiza.

Isaac: "You're done!"

Time seemed to slow as Isaac closed in, his strike aimed to obliterate Kaiza's weakened hero. Just then, Allison's voice echoed in the Marauders' comms.

Allison: "Not today!"

From the shadows, Allison's hero emerged with a daring gamble. Selling off his items, he poured everything into a last-ditch strategy, purchasing an all-map teleport. His gut screamed that this was the play—the clutch maneuver that could tip the scales in their favor.

With unwavering resolve, Allison activated the teleport, blinking directly into the chaos. His hero intercepted Isaac's devastating attack, absorbing the blow and shattering his own health bar. The room erupted in stunned disbelief as Allison's sacrifice left his hero crumpled in the grave.

Spectator 3: "Allison just threw everything on the line for this! Was it the right call?"

Kaiza's voice cut through the tension, firm and unwavering.

Kaiza: "It's enough."

As Isaac scrambled to recover, Kaiza seized the moment. With a burst of speed, his hero surged toward LC's throne. Isaac turned, desperation etched across his face, but Kaiza was already unleashing every ability in his arsenal. Each strike from his hero crackled with raw power, hammering down the throne's remaining health.

The Marauders rallied behind Kaiza, their final push unstoppable. The screen lit up with a brilliant flash.

Victory.

The room erupted into chaos. Spectators jumped to their feet, fists pumping in the air.

Spectator 4: "They did it! Kaiza clutched it!"

Spectator 5: "That was insane! Allison's sacrifice turned the tide!"

Kaiza leaned back in his chair, exhaling deeply as the adrenaline coursed through him. Udo slapped his shoulder with a grin.

Udo: "You're unreal, man. That was next level."

Allison, smiling despite his in-game demise, adjusted his headset.

Allison: "Told you it was worth it."

The Marauders basked in the glow of their victory, their bond stronger than ever. Across the room, Isaac sat frozen, his head in his hands as LC's team grappled with their defeat.

Isaac (to himself): "How did they turn that around…?"

Kaiza stood, turning to the cheering crowd at Jix's Cafe. He raised a fist in quiet acknowledgment, his eyes scanning the faces of friends and rivals alike.

Kaiza (to the team): "Let's go!."

The Marauders had proven their strength, they could revel in their triumph—a moment of glory forged in the fires of determination and teamwork.

The screen faded, but the memory of their battle would linger, a story told and retold by everyone who witnessed it.
