Chapter 1 - Chapter 1- Stubbornness

"Son, you shouldn't try too hard on this martial path. It's out of our hand because it need…" Man looked at his son who was dripping with sweat and panting performing a set of special boxing moves which is known as beginning for the entering the path of martial artists.

"It need talent, I know father. But, is there really no other way to set on the path of becoming a martial artist. You should know better than me that a strong martial artist can wipe us easily despite of how enormous number of safety measures we use, and this thoughts really scar me. We can't just depend upon martial association for safety, they just take money in name of providing security and I am sure they would bail on us in instant when any danger appears."

Son said in frustration and stopped his punches as to take a break.

Hearing Evan's words, father's words that about to say to give up on martial path stopped in mouth because he knew what he have said is reality and they don't anything to change it.

Rayleigh was sent into the flashback of his younger days when he was also so vigorous and tried to trim some children with unusual strength to dicover someone with martial talent but it failed every single time.

*whoosh*

*whoosh*

Evan was waving his hand in front of his dad's face who was in some sort of trance.

"Hello, dad where are you? Should I tell guards to find you."

Waving hand of Evan finally brought Rayleigh to his senses.

Hearing words of his son brought a smile on his face because these kind of remarks always remind him that his son has always been a too mature for his age but he is still a just child who like to tease.

"Son, I know why you are so obsessed with power. It's because that I could not protect your mother in that monster attack. But, you need to think about reality instead of living in your own fantasy. I have received a invitation from recruiter of martial academy to let you test your knowledge in their entering exam for becoming a part of martial research team of academy."

Harsh words of Rayleigh came with a loving hug that was a symbol that he understand his feeling but he is just doing what is best for him.

Evan whose face was cold and putting a tough exterior finally shattered to show his true emotions which have broken out like tsunami which just cannot be contained.

Lines of tears started flowing from his eyes, he knew his father's thoughts were in best interest of him but that day when his mother of this life died left a deep scar on his mental state.

"Okay dad, I will attend the entrance examination of academy but can you somehow get me a potential awakening serum, I want to see that was I really abandoned by fate from going on path of being a martial Artist." Wiping his tears, Evan said this in resolute voice.

"But son that thing cause too much pain…"

"I know the consequences of that serum dad, but I just want to give it a last try before finally admitting that my any efforts to fight my fate is just useless."

His words were cutting deep into Rayleigh's heart but he gave a slight nod while saying, "Okay, if that's what you want son then I will get it for you. I just want you to set yourself free from such big burden which is constantly weighing on your mind. You were just a child then, and couldn't possibly have done something to make a change."

Evan felt a sharp pain in his heart there wasn't a moment when he could run from the memory of that day when mother hid him from monsters while dying herself, that time father was on a trade journey with his big brother.

"Dad, I will go and play with other children in the public training grounds for 1 or 2 hours and will return by myself."

Evan avoided any questions from dad from then onwards and got him to agree on him going to the public training grounds.

Public training grounds were just 3 km away from his large house, he walked there instead of using a car or one horned horse carriage.

Today, it was a quiet place in the streets and public areas, this quietness was making his thoughts more clear to him which was making it hard to run from them.

Reaching public training grounds, it was just as empty as those street. Evan looked around to find someone to play or to have a simple talk with to divert his mind, but that ended in a failure.

Finding no other way to busy himself, he resumed the practice of boxing style set. Closing his eyes, he got immersed in training while some fuzzy memories of his past life became clear. It was the moments of the death when he died from a high voltage shock which came from the Mini Arc reactor that he was creating in lab.

Cleanring these memories, he focused on the memoirs about the martial arts of his previous life and tried to merge it in the boxing style he was just practicing, but it felt odd and uncomfortable.

It was like someone is putting weight of 20 kg weight on thing which is only made to endure 10 kg. His lungs seemed to be burning and he finally stopped panting to catch his breath.

'Is martial arts of previous is really not compatible with this world, evey time I try to recreate them something in body feel to revolt.'

Evan thoughts were focused on these ideas, he wasn't too focused on those martial arts of previous life because they were not good enough as some of what these normal people practice and they can't help them become martial artist.

Evan have observed that his strength is beyond what a child his age would have on earth but it still didn't met criteria for martial art test, and despite having the talent, there is no chance to move forward from point of peak human strength.
