Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Rallying the Forces

Back at Julian's penthouse, Ruby frantically relayed the events to their allies. "We were ambushed!

They're planning something big, and we have to act fast!"

The room was filled with murmurs of concern as Ruby paced back and forth. The tension was palpable,

and she could see the worry etched on everyone's faces.

"Julian was left behind!" she said, her voice cracking with emotion. "We have to get him back!"

Magnus stepped forward, his expression grave. "We need to rally our forces. If we're going to face this

faction, we need every ally we can gather."

As they strategized, Ruby felt a sense of urgency wash over her. They couldn't afford to lose Julian—not

now, when they were so close to achieving their goals.

"We'll split up," Ruby proposed. "Magnus and I will gather the human and vampire leaders. We'll need

to

present a united front against this new threat."

"Be careful," Magnus cautioned. "If they realize you're gathering forces, they might strike first."

With determination set in her heart, Ruby nodded. "I won't let fear stop us. We have to do this for

Julian."

As Ruby and Magnus moved through the city, gathering allies, a plan began to take shape. They aimed

to

launch a rescue mission for Julian, but time was running out.

"Are you ready?" Magnus asked as they approached the warehouse once more, the moon casting an

eerie glow over the scene.

Ruby took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Together, they stealthily entered the warehouse, the darkness wrapping around them like a cloak. They

moved carefully, aware that every step could alert the guards.

As they navigated through the maze of crates and shadows, Ruby's instincts flared. "I can feel him," she

whispered, her heart guiding her forward.

They arrived at a dimly lit chamber where Julian was held captive, bound but unharmed. His expression

shifted from surprise to relief as he saw Ruby.

"Ruby!" he called, his voice a mix of joy and urgency. "You came for me."

"Of course, I did," she replied, rushing to his side. "We're getting you out of here."

As Magnus worked to free Julian, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hall. Ruby's heart raced as

she realized they had been discovered.

"Go! Now!" she urged, grabbing Julian's arm as they dashed toward the exit.
