Prodion follows Dax at a similar pace trying not to catch up or overtake as a result of his longer legs. Their tails sway in sync with each step they take, they managed to stay in this synced formation all the way until the reach the graves.
Dax's eyes look upon two stone slabs in the ground. His eyes lose the glare, becoming tender and kind. He speaks up to the sky "hey mom... hey sis.. I miss you guys, it's been 2 years and I'm not getting any happier since the day you guys.."
he pauses and takes a breath "Died... Uncle Prodi has been taking good care of me, but I'm sure you knew that mom. You said you'd always watch over me.. always" he begins to cry and stutter before not speaking anymore. Prodian holds Dax in his arms and tail. Embracing eachother like real family.
After a minute, Prodian notices a tingling sensation almost like being stung by a synoeca wasp but unforeseeable to Prodian, Dax has the same feeling but didn't want to break their embrace and push through the pain. Prodion notices a glare from the top of his view and looks up to identify it. His face gets pale. He picks dax up and runs into the forest, whike confused dax looks up and also goes pale.
"WHAT IS THAT UNCLE"
"After seeing that I'm sure. You felt a sensation earlier yes?"
"YEAH. I DID. BUT WHAT THE F*** IS THAT"
"Nothing good.."
They run continuously to no avail. It kept following them. It kept giving them the sensation. They stopped and leaned against a tree to take a breath, Prodion was too old to run around like that. He is 14 years old which equates to 42 human years while the average lifespan of a male saurian is 16. It was no easy task but Prodion had to push himself. For his son.
Suddenly, it started to make high pitched noises. Prodion looks at Dax and smiles trying to reassure him that nothing bad will happen. Prodion always tried to stay positive. They embraced eachother for what seems to be the last time they will ever get.
Whoop... whoop.. whoop. beep-beep-beep-beep-beep BOOM
After the explosion a beam of light engulfed Dax and Prodion. There is no trace of them..
They are gone. And so is it.
