i was on the floor, my head was dizzy and i was seeing double but i still managed to speak"Take me to your boss" the man raised the bat again "Who the fuck are you" he put emphasis on each word, i stood up "A freind, that your boss will recognize or maybe he wont now that my face just got fucked up by that bat of yours" the man brought the bat down "Stop" A deep voiced man shouted, the bat was still coming at me until it bent and flew up to the ceiling "Got yourself into trouble again Colt"i chuckled and nodded "I guess i owe you once again, Morte" he grabbed me by my shoulder "You are one ugly fucker you know that right, you should thank Derin for making you look prettier" Morte spoke quite calmly so i guess our parting didnt effect him much or he didnt care, Sophie cleared her throat "And who might you be?" sophie wondered, morte pointed at her and leaned closer to me "She yours?" i shook my head "Kinda, i owe her crew, so ill be helping them with a heist but i need to do my own" he nodded and moved to the right of me towards Sophie "Hellow miss?" he extended his hand and she grabbed it in a handshake "Im Sophie and you are?" he nodded "Im Morte Leader of the black Market here in Newhaven, also i was part of Colts crew, before he got all soft and started trying to get with people" she nodded "Well dont let me interrupt you and Colts reunion" he laughed it was quite loud and seemed slightly natural "Yes we have many things to discuss" he waved his hand forward "I have a place you can stay, since you dont see very experienced with this typa stuff" she scratched the side of her head "Yea you got me" he nodded, we walked through the black market which was loud with excitment and traders trying to sell us their 'New Goods' that was until we came upon a door that was plated in what looked to be random gems "So it was you who did the heist one the Newhaven museum and stole the Imperial Gem" i said and he nodded "So Sophie you can stay in this room while me and Colt catch up" she nodded and opened the door, there were some books and chairs and general lounge area stuff she stood in the middle of the room and that was the last i saw of her for awhile.
"Whyd you bring such a rookie with you" i shrugged "Me and you were once rookies, besides i owe her crew, they payed my bail and we both know that it would be expensive especially for me" he nodded "Still why did you come to me and why did you bring her with" i sighed and poked my nose that was definitely broken " I need information and its been a couple of months, so i wanted to see what my best pall had built" he shook his head "well as you can see ive built this place up quite well, and what type of information, also follow me we will be in a more secure location" i sighed, i was getting tired of walking around this place
the place seemed to also be built out of an old cave or something because it was massive, but it seemed that Morte was brining me to a way more secluded area, that was farther back.
