Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Unknown Beginning

Isolated in a small room deep within a secret facility, where no one dares to question or refuse, the protagonist was born. His place was in the darkness—

surrounded by concrete walls, dim lighting so faint that objects seemed to dissolve into the shadows. He knew nothing about the world beyond these walls, and everything within was meticulously controlled.

From the moment of his birth, he was watched, trained, honed, and tested. He knew he was not like anyone else. No one looked at him kindly, and no kind words were ever spoken to him. Emotions, to him, were alien—just words he couldn't comprehend. Everything revolved around commands, training, and relentless perseverance to complete tasks.

Years passed, and he grew into a teenager, with growing confusion and curiosity gnawing at him. Despite his physical strength and superior abilities, something was missing within him. He never knew love, joy, or sadness. Everything was cold. Yet, his mind told him he needed something more than just being a weapon.

One day, while in the training room, he stood before a large mirror. He looked at his reflection—a young man with mismatched eyes: one black and the other blue. His long hair draped over his shoulders, and his pale skin was as white as snow. His face was devoid of expression, just as it had been his entire life. There was no room for weakness or tears. His features were harsh, but deep within, questions begged for answers.

Where would he go after all this? Would he remain just a war machine? Or was there something else he could discover? Could he be... something else entirely?

These questions ran endlessly through his mind. Slowly, emotions began to grow within him—strange feelings he couldn't understand at first. He had once thought emotions were unnecessary, but now, they seemed to demand a place in his being, as if they were telling a story he couldn't yet decipher.

At that moment, he noticed something strange: a symbol engraved on his neck. It was the same symbol he saw every day in the facility, but now it felt as if the mark held a deep secret.

Was it part of his past? Or just a random mark? What did it mean?

These questions pushed him to consider escaping—escaping from this place that never gave him a chance to be more. Escaping the shadows that surrounded him, the existence he never chose. But one thing held him back: could he survive in the outside world? Could he adapt to it? Would he discover something out there that could change his life?

Before he could answer these questions, he decided to escape.

He decided to face the future, no matter the risks, even if it meant discovering something new within himself that he had never known before.

As he prepared to flee, he remembered one thing: though he was born in this place, his heart still sought meaning, and there might be an answer beyond these walls, in the unknown world.

In that moment, he stepped out for the first time—not just as a trained human, but as someone carrying deep questions, searching for his identity and his place in the world.

As the protagonist prepared to escape, he felt something strange in the air around him. A peculiar stillness, as if the world had paused for a moment. Suddenly, there was a faint crackling sound from the iron door, followed by a long silence. The next sound was clearer, more insistent—a warning.

The sound wasn't coming from outside but from within his mind.

"It's time for your test."

He didn't know where the voice came from, but he felt it deeply within his mind. The voice was cold, devoid of emotion, as if from a distant, unreachable source. Suddenly, his heart raced, and something strange flowed through his body.

Yet, he didn't let this moment stop him. With steady steps, he opened a small window in the corner. The darkness enveloped the outside, but he felt something urging him forward. The outside world was unknown to him, but the words he had heard, and the symbol he couldn't decipher, made him feel that something greater awaited—something beyond mere escape.

As he prepared to jump, a strange feeling crept into his heart. Was he truly ready for what awaited him outside? Would he discover something about himself that he couldn't believe? He didn't know the answer, but he felt that the destiny awaiting him was greater than all the questions that had consumed him his entire life.

Then, before taking another step, a small device in his pocket buzzed. He pressed it, only to find a short message on the screen:

"The test begins now. Get out of here. But beware… every step will determine your future."

It felt like an invitation to dive into the unknown—or perhaps a warning.

Would the protagonist be able to escape his fate? Would he be ready for what awaited him in the outside world? The answers to these questions will unfold in the next chapter.
