For a short while, the enigmatic female student of Class 3-A was impressed by the Argos Patriarch's subsequent action, who, instead of stopping due to accidentally slashing his own son, contained his momentum and continued with a deep thrust through Abel's abdominal flesh to reach the one holding the innocent child from behind—it was a blind spot, after all!
However, his commendable effort to land a strike was utterly futile; the female student, sensing what was coming in that split moment, let go of the dangling child in her grasp, similar to a broken doll, before swiftly evading the swirling, fog-like blade of darkness.
"D-dad…?" Abel's voice of utter confusion reached his father's ears.
Catching his falling figure, the Argos Patriarch embraced his son, patted him on his head, and reassured him, "Shh. Don't worry, my son. I'm here… and you will be okay."
Witnessing this, the female student, now standing a few distance away from this quick reunion, let out a chuckle, "Heh? Godent Ethics, huh? That's unexpected because people such as yourself working in a corporation barely consider ethics, you know. It's basically hypocrisy, though it's not surprising."
Whether it was the blurred story of the past or ambiguous present, the pre-goddess era, or the godent-filled world… humans tend to be hypocrites for their own benefit; nothing ever changes.
"Although he would not die even if you tried decapitating him using your godent ability, using your very son as a form of medium to launch a blind-sided counterattack against me… That's unpleasantly commendable."
To summarize the entirety of the Godent Ethics, it is stated that:
[ The ultimate form of terrorism—destroying the surroundings in the presence of non-godent entities or mundane—will be considered a federal crime... ]
What did such a statement mean then?
Looking at Abel's father and the perfectly fine Abel even after being slashed and stabbed, which was not peculiar in any way in the name of natural law, the female student continued with her mumblings.
"Have you wondered about why that's the case, Mister Argos?"
Meanwhile, having his son by his side, the Argos Patriarch couldn't help but avoid making any rush moves; there was no way in hell he would allow this lunatic girl near his son.
That being said, as the female student continued to speak, he racked his thick skull to decide his next course of action.
"That no matter how absurd godent abilities one could have, they could not directly take a human life?"
Keyword: [ directly ]
Playing with the quill in her grasp, she playfully continued,
"It's one of the mysteries about the Goddess which the scholars couldn't solve even to this day. That's also why such tiring ethics exists."
Taking the ultimate form of terrorism into consideration, it's not because rouge godents refused to kill a non-godent entity… rather, they literally could not.
However, such a natural law could be bypassed by the surrounding environment; whatever the eye could see could possibly be utilized to end the life of a normal human.
"Why aren't you responding Mister? Cautious much? Hehe. Why? Do you think I'll run over your non-godent little boy with a car? That's an option too."
It was at that moment that the Argos Patriarch responded, seeing the brief, unusual movements of the female student's hand holding a galactic-like quill.
Woom!
Three portals with similar features in which Abel was forcefully pulled out from somewhere suddenly appeared in different directions; to their left, right… and from behind!
Seeing this sort of inexplicable godent ability, Abel's father long surmised that this female student was a Celestial-Type Godent.
'But it doesn't mean she's in every way superior!' he screamed in his mind, just as one empty car from each portal lunged towards them to crush them once and for all.
It would be fine, at the very least, if he was here alone. But then, his non-godent son was with him!
"I wonder… why are you refusing to die? I mean, wouldn't it be better to just accompany your fragile wife?"
Disregarding the female student's nonsensical mumblings, Abel, with fear evident in his countenance, shouted in utter state of panic, witnessing the unusual speed of these cars.
"D-dad! Wh-what-"
The Argos Patriarch did not open his mouth. Instead, his entire body emanated a large amount of star mana and-
'Telekinesis!'
…stopped the bull-like cars as he spread his arms.
If his deceased wife possessed telepathy, then his main power, atop of conjuring dark sword, was this!
With the cars floating, weightless, and defying gravity, he then used them as if they were arsenals to crush the female student.
"Die! You crazy bitch!"
Whoosh!
As these three cars surged towards the female student's direction…
Bang!
With a deafening, loud bang… it happened.
"I can't blame you, Mister Argos. Even when you ask people, they would always assume that directions are always in a horizontal perspective."
Before he could process what this girl had just said, the Argos Patriarch glanced to his side where his son was supposed to be.
Yes, he was still there.
Not intact though.
Looking at him… on his feet, the similar portal drawn by the female student was now dissipating. But then, it was already too late.
Abel's body was torn in half, his soul entering death's domain.
Whether it was intentional or not…
Crash!
A car just landed and rolled from mid-air.
She had summoned a car from below to run Abel over without an ounce of mercy.
"Poor little boy. Fufu."
Abel's father's heart beat so fast; his eyes seemed to lose their reason, and his ears were ringing that only 'kill, kill, and kill!' was something he could hear.
"Why are you mad? I thought you planned to ask the Orion World-"
"Die, you motherfucker!"
Without a shred of irrationality, as he witnessed his little boy's demise, the Argos Patriarch lunged forward.
"What an irrational father. Sigh, not that I wouldn't understand… because when it comes to my Oppa, rage could blind me too."
Whoosh!
Utilizing telekinesis on his body, he propelled forward intending to go all out.
"RAHHH!"
"Seriously… what are you doing here?"
During that fleeting moment, the Argos Patriarch was frozen in place, regaining his loss of reason. It was because of the familiar figure who suddenly appeared behind this peculiarly-formed, obscured female student who terrorized his entire family.
"Answer me, Yura."
