Chapter 3 - -Wills-

"Waa…!"

Having endured the loud outburst of the child the most, literally sharing the same ears, Flynn finally let out a relieved sigh, or he thought he did.

Though shaken by the obscene scene, as he was forced to watch from the closest angle the pinkish cherry bypass his view to put an end to the noise, obstructing his sight with their fresh plumpness… he managed to retain some sense of calmness, after having witnessed more of such scenes than he had ever during the past few days.

Bath, eat, sleep, eat, sleep, sleep…

As difficult as it was, using the brief moment he had been opportuned to, before the new born which he dwelled in slept, shutting down even his own senses. He managed to gather a draft detail of his surroundings.

Such as his name for example which spoken softly by the woman in which hands he laid, had been the first to grasp.

'Takezō, Shinmen Takezō.'

'So I was transmigrated into the body of a Rgular huh?' Finding not the least bit of familiarity to this name, Flynn mentally face palmed his face at his bleak future.

Regular, Legend, Sovereign. These were the three ranks used to categorize the ancient selves which humans were sent into to face Tribulation and inherit a Will.

Regular referred to the atrocious people who had unnoticed impact in history or were subjected under a Sovereign while commiting horrendous crimes that kept on accumulating under humanity's flag through the world.

Covering titles such as Military Personnels, assigned deputies to Sovereigns, Assassins, Hitmen,Notorious Criminals, Terrorist, vile Business Tycoons, Occults and Scientists.

Whilst, Legends were popular figures who left milestones in history, and in one way or the other influenced atrocities. Both on a small and large scale.

Based on luck, if one took the body of a Legend that only influenced atrocities on a small scale, the Will they would inherit would be the same to that given by a normal Regular.

Same rule applied to Regular, if one had enough luck or fate, they could be transmigrated to a Regular that rivaled Sovereigns.

And It was more common for Regular Will to rival that given by Legends on a scale of 25% from a 100.

Between Regular and Legend, there wasn't much of a distinguished gap between the Will given. It was only about a matter of luck and potential.

Unlike Sovereign Wills which gave direct bizarre or overpowered Wills. As the atrocities they had committed were unparalleled.

Presidents, Emperors, Kings, Dukes, Feudal Lords. Rulers, mostly composed of those from a far distant past known as the Medieval Period. Those who once held ultimate authorities, deciding the life and death of more than a million people, a dynasty to be precise.

And with it able to rewrite, write and create history despite being mortals, lacking the calamitous strength and the advanced technology of the current Earth.

Much less than he had imagined, the Tribulation was an ordinary and boring process without danger.

Well… so he would have believed if not that it claimed about 60 out of a 100 percent of people who were sent into the past.

While it all seemed boring, Flynn subconsciously reminded himself that there were dangers. If not now, he would soon enter such phase later.

Just then, his thoughts were cut off as the child fell asleep.

Days, weeks, months passed. A week ago made it more than a year since he was born or rather since his transmigration into the body of the now one year old Takezō.

And while nothing dangerous like happened to him in this incomprehensible state he was, experiencing the old days in real time felt amazing.

Despite being subjected to a child's perspective, he was able to grasp a whole lot about his home and the ancient Japanese culture.

The boy's father who always looked strict and composed, almost uncaring, with sharp facial features. Was a respected Samurai, who taught Japanese sabre to titled people, and was seemingly revered by the maids sometimes, albeit in secret as that alone would earn them their death if caught.

Meanwhile, the boy's mother was a contrast opposite. Caring and loving to her child, she was a dutiful wife with refined temperament, doing her best to serve her husband while keeping shut and subservient. She had little say and seemed to have no problem with it. Earning his utmost respect in this regard as any woman trained to be such was yet to exist in the current Earth or had also been wiped out on the day of Reckoning.

Excluding laws such as women right, the gap between both genders in current Earth had been minimized to the greatest extent as any could inherit strong Wills as long as they passed the Tribulation and inherit a Will.

There were few of such among humanity's powerhouse whose Will were unchallenged in the world, and each an unbelievable beauty in their own right.

Another thing he had been quick to take note of was the gloomy atmosphere surrounding everyone. More than twice, he had heard the death of a few maids due to misconduct to their Lord, and it seemed like a norm.

Somehow, Flynn couldn't help but wish he had been Transmigrated as his father. Being the cause of so many deaths, the inherited Will from such an atrocious man was bound to be potent enough for him to achieve the level of a Prince Bearer.

"Da da!... Da!... Waaah!"

'Ahh!' subconsciously reacting to the pricking pain, as his view was suddenly overwhelmed with water, tears. Flynn realized with speechlessness while he stared at the pricked thumb.

'This…'

Author's Extra Thoughts…

An example of Regular Will is of a nobody, an unknown person that bombed a whole ship with 500 lives on board.

And yes, the greater the atrocities the person they were sent into was able to partake and do in their lifetime would lead to inherit a more powerful Will.
