The entire world was turned upside down in a couple of hours. If one were to view from space at the shape of Earth #210797, what one would see would be a distorted sphere that seemed to have different parts of it blown off. The population of humans plummeted and nature itself suffered. Several parts of the continents that existed were turned into unrecognisable lands of destruction.
"I told you, Siri," Zony said as he chuckled and rubbed his chin while gluing his eyes at the many screens that floated in front of him.
He turned sharply to look at Siri who stood behind him, also watching the screens without any particular interest.
"...the need to survive is the greatest catalyst for growth. I'm surprised that a good number of them have assimilated the spiritual energy and the ones who did not…oh well, shit happens. Not that there is anything so new or impressive about it but it still proves my point again. When pushed to the wall, every species will fight back."
Siri said nothing. She simply stood still like a robot that had been turned off. She just looked at him as he talked but did not answer. Siri didn't think the God of Games wanted her input in any of these, and she didn't mind either.
Zony scoffed and sighed as he shook his head. 'What a bore.'
Zony turned back around to focus on the floating windows that displayed the happenings of Earth #210797 before his eyes. He brushed his red hair as he looked through multiple screens at the same time. From what he was seeing, many humans had gotten a reasonable grasp of the spiritual energy he gifted them. That alone was enough to level the playing field against the several invading species who had come with supernatural powers and abilities that these humans had never recorded in their history.
Other than that, the ones who had learned how to use spiritual energy started to turn the battle around. This escalated quite high when those who further awakened their abilities entered the scene; humans started to catch a glimpse of hope for their survival.
Zony smiled with satisfaction. Everything was proceeding as planned. He had already instilled the ideas he wanted inside their heads like he had also done with other species. Now, basically, everyone was making their way to the tower from different parts of the world. They had no idea where exactly the tower was located but wherever one was, it could be seen. From what the God of Games said, the only way to end this ongoing chaos and ensure the survival and longevity of one's race was to climb to the top of the tower. Naturally, everybody would make their way there one or the other.
The God of Games massaged his chin more as he thought deeply about the current situation of things. He was having fun watching what was happening. A way to kill the boredom that came with his deity duties. He did his calculations and speculations, realising that although everyone basically had superpowers right now, the distance between the tower and most of the beings on Earth #210797 was still something that would take a long time for many. Depending on one's current location, there were those who were close to the tower, and whose journey might take days to weeks. The moderate distance group was weeks to months while some would definitely take months to years.
Zony considered all of these and threw his head back on the chair as he looked up and exhaled. "Quite troublesome, huh…"
He bent his head further back to look at Siri.
The both of them looked at each other for a few minutes, with Zony lost in thought and Siri wondering why her master was gaping at her, thinking nothing more than the God of Games just trying to stare her into nakedness since it looked like he was peering at her breasts.
"Siri…" Zony called her slowly.
"Yes, Master Zony."
"Open all the doors."
Siri's eyes lit up first, before widening as she showed obvious reaction to Zony for the first time in a while. She seemed to be experiencing a little trembling while speaking. "M-Master…?"
What Zony had asked for made no sense to her. It was obvious she was worried.
"Hahahaha!" Zony bawled as he slapped his belly. "Just to the 0th Floor, please. We don't want to massacre everybody down there now, do we?"
"Chill, Siri. Even that much fun is risky for someone like me to have. Just open all the doors that lead to the ground floor of the tower; else, it would take ages for many of them to reach the actual structure."
Siri felt more calm now that Zony had explained what his intentions were. Had it been what Siri thought, it would have only led to an even more uncontrollable disaster that would make the one that had already happened seem like child's play.

Siri did just as the God of Games had instructed.

'Am I dead…?'
The first set of words crossed through Dave's mind.
'Fuck! My head feels like a thousand drummers are drumming at the same time.'
The more he thought, the more pain he had to endure and so he tried to think less and less. However, it seemed like it was just his mind that had woken up as he could barely feel the control he had over his body. Dave tried to open his eyes but a blinding light seemed to force him to keep them shut since it shone directly above him. After a couple of minutes, he finally succeeded in opening them and as they slowly came up, his vision was blurring.
'Ah…' he grimaced in pain as he tried to put his hand on his head to numb the pain and yet Dave couldn't lift his hands.
'What is this place?' he wondered. 'I can't move my body.'
A memory suddenly came rushing into his mind that caused him to shut his eyes tightly as he winced in pain. He recalled his fight with the ape man and everything that happened just before he passed out completely. Recalling this and realising that he was in danger since he had collapsed in an open place, Dave's instincts kicked in, and his adrenaline levels skyrocketed, causing him to shoot up from where he lay. However, as soon as he sat up, he was quickly snapped back down into a lying position and with as much force that matched the speed he used.
Bam~
"Fuck!" he shouted as saliva flew from his mouth.
As Dave still tried to understand his situation and also calm his nerves, a voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Good thing you are awake," the person said.
